[Q] Mac OS X doesn't detect the phone - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hello! I have an LG Optimus One, and I wanted to do USB tethering to Mac OS X. I followed all the PDANet instructions, and I need to connect the phone to Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) in Debug mode. When I do it, nothing happens in the computer or on the phone, as if I had not connected it, but in System Profile the device appears. How can I configure the phone or the computer to detect the phone?

I gave up trying to make my MacMini and Optimus One be friends... Hope someone can help us. I was able to do what I wanted with a Terminal Emulator on my phone...
I dont know how to make an Android and a Mac cooperate.

You can try with MissingSync but it's not optimized pretty well. You can sync almost everything btw.

[Q] Vodafone 845 adb Connection

Hi,
I have a Vodafone 845, and I couldn't get connection with adb.
I'm using windows 7 32b. My device is recognized as android adaptar usb device (cdrom driver), I tried to update the driver to android_usb_driver.
Any suggestions?
I ran into the same issue, could not uninstall Microsofts driver.
Use adbWireless (some old version (works fine) is attached).
I have the same problem,
your wifi adb apk needs a rooted phone.. but the reason I need the SDK connected ADB to the phone is because I can't find a root solution for this phone, and want to take screenshots via the Android ADK, but it wont' connect.
ADB connection
I'm new here but i did find a way to fix that problem. Im using Windows 7 32 bit.
I just installed the PC suite that comes with the VF845 (when u plug in the phone through the USB cable) and ADB ends up working.
Pretty sure this also works on XP....
Hope this helps

HELP! Bricked and only have a MAC

I'm in a pickle here, i was trying to restore my friends cdma razr to stock and somehow borked it. I only have a mac, it's dual booted but only dual boots into windows 8. The motorola drivers won't install on it so i can't use the razr utility, it doesn't see the device. I'm trying to install a virtual machine on mac os and so far, nothing is working.... Any help is appreciated.
again, HELP!!
Wgy wont drivers install?? Best bet probably be use a different comp
Lol i'm trying that now. I hit the next road block, the phone won't allow anything to happen in fastboot because it won't charge!!! The white LED is on too.
I don't have the original motorola cable, is this the issue?

[Q] Eken A90 (rooted) showing UNWANTEDLY as ABD

Hi guys, I hope you can help.
I'm tech savvy, but this has been driving me bonkers.
I bought a cheap EKEN A90 (Allwinner A10) from China - I can't remember what version of Android it had, but it was a slow and clunky as hell.
To cut a long story short, I tried flashing it with CM9 and CM10 and managed to brick it, only being able to bring it alive with the lovely and helpful people here using livesuite and a custom firmware A90sun4i_crane_t05a_mma7660_20120614-.img and gapps etc etc....and actually works SO much smoother!
Anyway, BEFORE, when I plugged in the USB, it would show up in My Computer (I'm on Windows XP) as 'CRANE' or something like that and was easy to transfer files between my PC and tablet.
Since the new firmware, when I connect to my PC, it comes up as an ADB device, installs drivers (something like WdfColnINstaller or something) and then says it's a Samsung phone! Which I don't want! I just want it to show up in My Computer like it did before!!!
I used to have Kies installed as I have a Galaxy S2, but have since installed it. (btw my phone comes up as a portable device, which I would love the tablet to do!!)
I've tried loads of things; changing cables, USB debugging mode on and off (there's no MTP option on the tablet btw) uninstalling the ADB thing in PC Device Manager, but nothing has worked and it's driving me bonkers!
I've even looked into changing the tablets Device ID (USB\VID_18D&PID_0002) because apperently that notifies Windows that it's an ADB Instance.
Many thanks

Windows Phone - Ubuntu

Hey everyone. I am fairl-.. well, very new to Windows Phone and unlike an Android phone where you can just plug it into the computer and start browsing the system. I can't figure out how to do the same on my HTC Radiant. When I was using Windows, I could only pick the phone up with the drivers from Zune but that still didn't give me any access to the phone really and now that I am running Ubuntu and have been unable to instal Zune via Wine; I'm not sure how to connect the phone to my computer at all..
I want to start to get into Windows Phone development as I have been currently doing a lot with Android, such as porting ROMs.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] USB Device not Recognized - HTC EVO 4G LTE on Windows 8.1

Good morning all,
I am looking for help. I can't connect my phone to my Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop running Windows 8.1. I would like to connect my phone as a USB device to via USB cable to transfer photos, videos and music back and forth. I used to be able to do this, but for some reason it has stopped working. Now when I connect the phone I get the notification "USB Device not recognized". When clicking on the bubble, it expands to "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it".
The phone connects successfully to a Dell Precision M4700 running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 and a HP Pavilion running Win 7 Home Prem SP1. The USB cable is original. So my guess is that it has something to do with Windows 8.1.
As I mentioned, it worked in the past before on this computer, but now it won't recognize as a USB device. Also, this problem also appears on an old HTC EVO and a Samsung Intercept. They connect to the Win 7 laptops, don't get recognized on the Win 8.1
I have read ideas about deleting USB from Device Manager or updating drivers for Win 7, but nothing specific about Win 8, so I haven't tried anything yet. I did unplug, remove battery from laptop, reboot, removed battery from phone (the old EVO, the new one I can't), etc. Cable and phone work fine on Win 7, not on Win 8.
Any ideas on how to solve this are greatly appreciated.
I believe you'll need the Intel drivers for everything to work properly. Check out this thread for more info.

Thanks for pointing out the thread. I have gone through all of it, but I am not using ADP or Fastboot. I haven't installed any drivers other than HTC Sync (which I uninstalled after they didn't work). Some of the solutions ask to look up the android device on Device Manager to update drivers, but I don't see the device on the list.
Sorry for being such a noob, but I am frustrated I can't connect my phone as a USB drive to transfer photos, etc. Any specific ideas I can try?
Thanks again.
Im haveing teh same probum verry annoying!
