Hey guys!
Ok heres my problem, i'm looking to flash my current o1 back to original F/w but i'm in darn New Zealand. My phone is unbranded and not rooted since update so i need some one to help me get a English language F/w code from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865479 . I know there is a Vodafone NZ one but unless some one can test the F/w to see if it's branded i'd rather not test it since i am kinda new at this.
Please help!

Hi,
All the fw's in the link are original ones.... u can either port the NZ one or Australian version or Indian version or the UK one.... There are versions like 10A, 10B, 10C .... Go for either 10A or 10B because the latter one's can't be rooted.
Also, avoid using swearing words in this community bro, the moderators mite even delete ur account.

I have tested the Australian version of 10A.... It's fast! So, you can flash it bro

I have a Vivo branded phone (Carrier from Brazil). It's unlocked, but I can't yet update to 2.1 because unlocking does not unbrand. =/ Vivo is only releasing the 2.1 on the last week of november.
There is a lot of information here in the forum, but I found it a little confuse - too much information.
So my question, is there a safe way to unbrand my 1.6 X10a without rooting it?

1- if you update your phone from 1.6 to 2.1, the code will stay the same (Brazil stays Brazil) unless you use the flash tool to upgrade with another firmware.
2- You can try to download the flash tool with the right firmware if it's available, else, just use the 12XX-XXXX code on your phone (under the battery on the sticker) and rebrand using the different methods available on XDA.

If you mean the one where you have to quickly replace a file while it's updating, no it doesn't work anymore.

there is no solution for that jet
Register in SAMFIRMWARE and find your STOCK firmware from your area.

You must register or you cant get the download links to your area. All info and downloads are there, just look around little!

Like he says, there is NO solution JET to backup current ROM. But you can always flash back to ORIGINAL ROM, with help of ODIN, from SAMFIRMWARE!

It will be possible soon with ClockWork Recovery and NANDroid Backup...
its not possible yet...

I have looked at Samfirmware but I cant really understand all the combination of letters in the firmware.....

So latest FW for you is S5830XXKPH.... go for it...! Android 2.3.4, the best one...

Jep, I agree with ingbrzy. Try the latest firmware 2.3.4. It´s working fine to me. I had some problems with 2.3.3 but now they gone, if I flashed to 2.3.4!

if you are from brazil you have an american firmware, beware that you might lose you 3g, im from chile and that is what happened to me, i found my firmware it is s5830lubkb1 if you want it, pm me

Yes it does have swedish, just like your current version the only thing that differs is that the CSC is set to SER(Russia) so you wont be able to update with kies the next time around
Now GB has leaked for O1 in romanian and russian sites, so I got some question:
These rooms are branded or open? ( I mean like vodafone or T-mobile, orange ect as in this case if I flash with KDZ my sim waont work)
Are they working without problems or they still have bugs?
Which one to use romanian or russian v20g or v20b?
I searched around but nowhere to be found clear description of the above mentioned questions.
You think the releases of each country will be different from v20g and is it worth waiting for them?
i hope india has its gb soon for lg O1.

v20g or v20b? It's the same thing. Some unnoticable differences. I have the romanian GB.

I can tell you it is open to any sim as i am in movistar latinamerica and is working like a charm!!! im using the V20g gingerbread

I really want to have the newest firmware for my Ace but I am so confused by all these ROMs and CWMs and CFRoots etc. I have some knowledge about these things but I am new to Android. I see that flashing a new firmware with odin is not that complicated. But I have a problem. My phone is locked to Telenor network. Is it a problem? I dont know what is XXKA6 and can I install KPN?

I don't know about the lock but KPL is for you its a Nordic version 2.3.3
*edit* Maby not, I didn't know telenor was in other country's than Nordics

You can flash to KPN. My phone is locked to Smart here in the Philippines but I'm enjoying KPN's benefits right now.

Hello Chinoyray! Kabayan Im also from philippines. Im planning to upgrade my SG Ace to KPN. I saw one of your post here that you are using same baseband version, and also its running smoothly to you with smart as your service provider. Just a question, I'm a globe user, is there be any conflict if i updgrade my SG Ace to KPN?? And would you mind if i ask you the files you used for the update? Im stuck a bit with update. I have downloaded the 5.0.2 android for my phone from sammobile but unfortunately odin always fail with the firmwares.
The only thing what i can do is installing back my old firmware, Otherwise not even kies could recognise my phone.
Is there a reason why its now allowing me to update it?
My current android is G850FXXU2BNK3_G850FOJV2BNK5_TUN
And i have tried G850FXXU2COI3_G850FNEE2COI1_NEE (This is for nordic countried...5.0.2)
and also tried G850FXXU2COE4_G850FH3G2COE1_H3G(This is for GB and H3G service provider)
Unfortunately both failed at the end.
I have tried the usual troubleshooting which was described here, but i think i just cannot find the proper 5.0.2 android for my phone.

No it is just a simple sm-g850f (Tun).
I have put back the tunesian (original) firmware and it works like a charm now again....but still no luck with 5.0.2
