Hey guys i would like some help with the gallery, im tired to scroll all the way to the end of my folder list to see the new pictures i just took.
Do you have any way to modify this?
So the new items appear at the beggining of the list?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
is there anyway to change that? To reverse the order, so i can have the newest at the begging?

How does using an app to access another app you can access in the first place help with this?
Maybe just me, but the only time I could use the 3d gallery was when changing the icons; when changing wallpapers or general picture viewing it uses Mediascape. I know you can remove this, but as a rule don't use my X10 as a camera and I haven't investigated further.

Sorry, I was referring to THIS, same thing as you mentioned I think, but still doesn't resolve the sorting issue.
True, doesn't actually resolve the issue, it's just faster to find images.
Sorry, didn't realise this app had originated on XDA, but most of the time I post it's from my X10 and the search can be pretty random...

One thing I thought of, if you click the icon in the top right hand corner, it kind of organises them into the date taken or modified...

Yeah, but still the newest items are at the end of the file system, and i have to scroll to see them. Thats what i dont want be doing, scrolling all the way to the end to see the pics i just took.
So theres no way to change this??

It seems there's no way to organize folders on the 3D gallery, a pretty simple feature that should be there from the start.
i've read that the .nomedia trick could actually delete your pictures, is that true?

Im having problems setting a wall paper that I want to use, every time I try and select the image I want to use my phone takes me to gallery to resize the picture, I guess to fit across multiple screens. Trouble is I don't use wall paper scrolling and just want the image as it is to remain static as I change screens. Does anyone know of a way round this?

Which launcher are you using?
The only way to do this is of your launcher supports it.
And even then, for the picture to look ok, you need to edit it on your PC, place it in the middle of a black 960x854 image, save it, then transfer and apply on your phone, then enable the No Wallpaper Scrolling option in your launcher.
As far as I know, ADW and Launcher Pro support this.
Xperia X10i via Tapatalk
Launcher pro plus, I already have disabled wall paper scrolling. Will try editting on pc tomorrow. I downloaded the image directly to my phones sd using xda app, perhaps this is the reason it won't work. Thanks for replying, am getting some sleep now so will check back here in the morning. These are all workaroundd.. there is an app called dodol wallpaper maker in market.. it does the stuff you want.. moreover it also changes the selection by default.. i mean once you apply potrait wallpaper.. it remembers your choice and then when you select your wallpaper from gallery it lets you choose a potrait wallpaper.. same goes for. Landscape.. check it out..

Now thats the kind of answer im after, thanks

I tried but gallery still forces the image to be resized.
Don't worry about it now anyway that app linked above does exactly what I wanted to do.

I always use multipicture live wallpaper since it can preserve the transparent status bar if you have one in ADW or Launcher Pro..
Thanks for this. However what about picture frame? I used picture frame widget and it asked to crop the picture, any application can make the whole picture for the picture frame widget?
Edit

It allows you to set any picture as your wallpaper without having to crop the image. Set your own Images as wallpaper without having to Crop. It also allows you to set images located within external storage as wallpaper. It will resize any size image to best fit within display and it also set landscape and portrait images and rotate the images to your liking. It can also set up the pictures to scroll or notWW is restarted at device reboot to maintain wallpaper set.

Seems like this could be a great app, but do not understand the need for full network access... Myself probably going to wait and find something different that will function w/ out that network permissions....

Is there any app out there similar to the ICS app folder on the Nexus? I like how you can group everything and how it shows several icons at once. Anything similar to that in the Market?

Try this:
https://market.android.com/details?...wiY29tLmF5ZWxlY3Ryb25pY3MuQXBwRm9sZGVyUHJvIl0.
I came from ICS with the Galaxy Nexus, the functionality is almost identical. Worth the 1.99 IMO.
I really liked the ics keyboard on the Nexus and the speech to text function with it. It was extremely fast and you could continue talking without having to stop and pressing enter all the time. What's the closest keyboard in the market that I could use to mimic the ics keyboard? Also is there a way to get that speech to text ics functionality on the Rezound?

I had the exact same question...
Thank God for forums (and the dudes that invented it). I had the same exact question after reverting back to GB from ICS and didn't realize how much I missed that feature again until recently (I also was an iPhone user for a few years ). I'm surprised HTC's folder "widget" is so limited..
There were good suggestions here, but ultimately seems like Folder Organizer is the best app for this particular job for me. Has more settings and options than I was looking for, but the main function works well and it's very fast, unlike other apps like SiMi.
Thanks to all those that posted their recommendations.
So far for my "dirty" pictures (I SWEAR TO GOD IF SOMEONE ASKS ME WHAT THEY ARE OR IF THEY WANT ME TO SEND IT TO THEM.... MOTHER..) I've been "hiding" them in /emmc/images/.nomedia/ right now.
I'm tired of going ALL the way there for just a picture or two, is there a app that can HIDE my gallery albums that i choose to hide? and show the ones i want it to show?
I'm on ICS Passion, so it must be ICS compatible.

Best thing I could suggest is to use Root Explorer to select multiple files, zip them, and then send the .zip.
Now my question to you is... If your trying to find out how to hide the pictures of your "ballsack" then why do you want to know how to send multiple files at once?........ oh god!
