[REQ] port Gingerbread 2.3 keyboard to XT720 - Milestone XT720 Themes and Apps

i've noticed other devices were successful in porting the nice Gingerbread 2.3 keyboard to their phones.
It'll be nice if we can get it working on our phones.
Does anyone here has experience doing this kind of stuff?
it's openly available in the Android SDK 2.3
i wonder if it'd be as easy as installing it into the phone.

[REQUEST] Port: Touchwiz Dialer?

Hello there!
I´m a very happy HD2 user running Android from SD Card (Desire HD) and I´m very happy with my config...just the dialer isn´t really that what I was looking for.
After a relaxing google-trip I found the touchwiz dialer, which really seems to have a very nice look and feel (IMAO):

}
A few months ago someone asked for a port as well in the Hero Forum and I just thought: Let´s try this again right over here!
Is it possible to get a usable port of this nice little numberpad-thing for my HD2? Or can I even find a working version anywhere on the net (I haven´t found it on this board or within my google results)?

[Open Source] Holo port to Android 1.x and 2.x

Hello all,
Here is my contribution to Android and the Open source..
I just wanted to share my Holo Theme port to Android 1.X and 2.X. This port is fully compatible with ActionBarSherlock and should be really easy to install.

It may be kinda confusing for some people on how to use it.
Mind adding a tut?

The app is just a demo for developers and does nothing!!!!
It should show to all the devs how to give the same look to buttons, text fields, dialog in their own app's
Aaaaand... subscribed Nice work!
Seems that I was wrong, I got issues with Android 1.5 and lower...
Seems that the library is not working for these SDK levels...
anyone confirms that the library is working on android 2.3.x?
Awesome

[CLOSED] Who's hoping for awesome custom ROMS for this?

The thing has good specs, good audio... and squandered potential. Only being a slave to a Android device?
This would have been a *****in' GTV device. As Google TV is in rough shape, even getting a full Android ROM would be good. Here's to hoping it can be easily hacked.
Seeing as it is a Nexus device, I would surely hope that it has some level of hack-ability and modding. They even said that they encourage modding of the Nexus Q when they announced it at I/O. I'm excited to see where it goes!
Because they know that if someone come qith a good hack making it available to play games, run full OS or something like that people like will start buying it

It would be great if the GTV system could be ported over to the Q. I like the idea of the Q but a custom Rom would get me off the fence and grab my card to order.
Live and Die on this day....
There's already a thread for speculating on possible uses for the Q, please continue all further discussion there.

Virtual Soft Keys

Hey! I've searched for a long time some virtual soft keys (on screen buttons) for Galaxy S2 like Nexus ones for stock odexed ICS ROM. Didn't managed to find any, someone can help? ->

Thank you!
Some ROM's like Resurrection Remix (found in Android Development Section) allow you to have the soft keys on screen. Not sure how well they work as I have never used it. I think it would just take up too much of the screen as we have hardware buttons already, but everyone to their own liking. Or you could sell your GS2 and buy a G Nexus!

You can check this thread:

Or, flash an AOKP rom, some MIUI roms have it too, ParanoidAndroid(CM9 based)
Well, thank you both of you.
@themadba - Yea, i know i was curious if was something like that for a stock ROM. Just wanted to test it strictly on a stock ROM, i have test them on AOKP ROM. ( and yeah, pretty useless )
@curodot - that doesn't work for stock odexed apps, like framework.

APK/Rom Request

Just wondering if there was a way to make a request for a apk or rom ported to our device? I am really interested in the HTC One X Camera, but I am aware that the source code has not been released and there might be some integration with the Sense UI.
Not trying to complain or anything because we have some awesome roms over here, but when I was on the HTC HD2 we had a Sense rom, and I think a couple other UIs, but we always have themes to cover those but not the actually integrated apps. I know ideally its best to go with AOSP because I can get the best performance that Android can offer, but holy cray that camera app on Sense 4.0 is amazing. Would love to see just that app ported over someday. Feel free to share your thoughts, and smack me if I am over stepping my bounds.

It's been done long ago on the nexus One, but that dev stopped Developing and no one else that I know of has ported sense camera to vanilla android
