I don't know why I have recurring GPS issues..I just flashed 1.6, and my navigation is hanging on "Searching for GPS". It has my location, but won't lock onto a satellite. Any ideas?

I had the same issue with 1.5.3. What I did I roll back the software to where the gps worked. For me went to 1.5.0 and checked the gps and it worked. So from there flashed 1.5.3. and the gps started working. Try to find with what firmware it worked on. Then flash from there to 1.6.0.

Flashed 1.5.3 - no GPS.
Cleared Dalvik cache, factory reset, flashed 1.6 - still no GPS.

Recently i unlocked HD2, and since then, gps does not detecting any satellites.
I use 2 navigation programs, Igo8 and Destinator 8 and 9, and all of them displays connection with gps, but i waited more than 2 hours to find satellites...both of them found nothing.
I'm running stock rom 3.14.482.2 and flashed the 2.15.50.14 radio but still nothing.
Any ideas?

Do you have a clear view of the sky? And you could also try more gps applications but try to do it with a clear view of the sky if you haven't.Hope this helps.
I tried more than once. Also downgrade radio to 2.14 version but still no progress.

O.K. This should solve your problem. Upgrade your radio back to 2.15.50.14. After that, download and install the attached file on your phone. Make sure you install it TO YOUR PHONE and NOT SD CARD. Then run the app, download data, then run your gps app. You should be good to go. Hope this helps.
Tried ....nothing again...
I would try a task 29 then reinsall the rom, its likely just a software glitch
Go to GPS settings and mark "managed by windows" or something my rom is in spanish, then run quick GPS, and try first whit Google Maps if u have 8 Sat´s+ the GPS work Fine, if u dont want to configure GPS flash AKIRA ROM WWE is ready for use iGo 8 (That i have) ;D

Hello, had the same problem with my HD2. My phone was having an Eastern Europe type of ROM (Poland 1.48.479.1). After I've put the HSPL, I updated the phone to the latest Radio (2.15.50.14) and a custom ROM, i did see that GPS didn't work. In trying to resolve the problem, I installed a lot radios and OS's (custom Windows, SD Androids, NAND Androids, etc), but GPS didn't seem to work in the right parameters (there were sometimes when it worked for few seconds after waiting about 5 minutes). Then i decided to turn back cu SPL, and install the original stock Windows from the HTC site. Now the GPS seem to work fine. The Radio version is 2.05.51.05_2. Hope it works for your phone too.
Another problem that i noticed, is that when i'm starting Destinaror, appears a message that says
"Bluetooth connection is not possible. Please check that bluetooth connections are active and then try again"
What is this? Is this the problem generator?
I am using I5503 for last 3 months with 2.1 version and the WiFi and GPS was working well.
This problem happened after I upgrade with 2.2 and then downgrade with 2.1 again.
GPS is not working at all. The WiFi only works after I reboot the phone. I mean, I need to Switch ON the WiFi and reboot the phone then it will connect. Otherwise, it shows Unable to Turn ON WiFi. If it is ON then it shows Unable to Turn OFF
Please let me know the solution. Thanks.
i think it could baseband problem. after i upgraded the baseband and flashed new beta version 0.4 of cyanogenmod my gps locks in 10-20 seconds (before it was 5 mintes) and wifi lock almost imediatelly (before had a problem with certain rooters, didn't want to lock at all). look more info in first three posts over here.
hope this helps
Hi all and thank you for your advice in advance.
I have recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 to Resurrection Remix Pro 1.1 and have installed the latest Siyah Kernel 3.0.1.
I don't remember trying the GPS on the stock kernel so not sure if it worked before installing Siyah Kernel on RR1. GPS just can't get a lock.
I have tried fastfix and installing a zip which does the same thing to switch to the correct server (UK) however I just cant get a lock.
Please help, I have a trip coming up in the car and need the GPS for the Sat Nav.
Try the AGPS patch in my sig. Also, get GPS Status from Google Play. When you install it, make sure you're outside with a relatively clear view of the sky & that you have data switched on. Go into tools in GPS Status & "manage AGPS state". Then reset AGPS data, and download fresh data/ephemeris.
Then wait until you get a lock with a bunch of satellites (could take up to 10 mins the first time). Once you've done that, you should get a lock fairly quickly thereafter. If you find locking starts to slow down again, after days/weeks/months or whatever, reset data/redownload data again & give it that time to 'learn' where the satellites are again.

Thank you so much for the help. Got it working now. Used the push option as CWM wouldn't install the AGPS fix due to error code 0. Installed the google version 3.1 and used the GPS status app and got 5 of 6 satellites just holding my phone near a window (it's raining out atm so didn't want to take my phone outside!).
Thanks again.
I've flashed CM7-AA-RC2, caming from CyanomobileXperience... I never had any problem with GPS on my ACE but when I flashed CyanomobileXperience I fonund the first problem with it: no fix and, after some time, neither the icon appears. I flashed CM7-AA-RC2 in order to fix the problem, wiping everything before to install. Today I realize that the problem is still here, no fix, no icon, not any kin of message or FC. I just can find my location using wifi.
Any suggestion bout what happen to my GPS?

Hi to all
I have strange problem with GPS. GPS can't lock
I tryed several roms: CM7 , CM9 and Liberated Aria 2.2.2 . all roms with wipe and data del
and in all romes the GPS not work
can be the problem with GPS chip ? i can somehow reflash GPS/radio ?
Have you tried using the GPS Status and Toolbox app? I had the same issue on Winsuk's CM10. In the app, press menu, select tools, reset a-gps data, and then tell it to download a-gps data. That fixed the issue for me anyway. YMMV.
Hi , thanks for replying
This didnt help.
GPS suddenly stop to lock on nightly build CM7.2 . i know that was problems with 7.2 and gps.
then i tried CM7.1 that i know that was no problems with GPS. and still , can't lock
i think that something happened to GPS chip. I don't know how to check it
from dmesg(attached) log , i can't find something suspicious
