I had an HTC with android 2.1 and It was possible to send only text MMS, without any images or sound. I had to create a new message and insert some text in the "Object" field and system detected the message as MMS. Is it possibile to do this in the x10 mini?

I have a Alltel model of the TP running on VZW. I was able to get the MMS working when someone sends me a picture via the Alltel-arcsoft-mms cab file. But I am unable to send Picture messages.
I tried by clicking the envelope in the picture menu and sending via MMS and it never is received.
I tried inserting a picture through the Windows messaging program and the "insert picture" button is grayed out.
Dear all members,
Not sure anyone having same problem as me when receiving MMS, even if you send a MMS to yourself, you will receive 2 MMS messages?
Anyone know what is the problem?
from what i hear it's an issue with your carrier
I know what is the problem as I tried sending a MMS to myself using the default messaging client and I only received 1 MMS in return. When I view in Handcent SMS app, it also show one MMS instead of two MMS.
Guess the problem lies on the latest version of Handcent SMS app.
Hey Guyz, whenever i write a message on my xperia e10i, the problem is that when the it goes to 160 characters my text message is automatically converted to Multimedia message and i can't write long text
Any Suggestions?
On the sms stock app after writing more than 5x160 characters it automatically converts the sms to mms.
Is there a way to disable this without using another sms app?
And when the phone is turned off the messages that have been recieved during this period show the time which the phone was turned on
not the time which they were send. Is there a way to change that?
thnx
android 4.1.2 rooted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192532)
when someone sends you a picture, video or group text message, it comes in as a multimedia message (MMS). when connected to wi-fi only, the message comes into your messaging "in" box, but the audible notification does not ding, nor does the message text completely download. (this on the stock android 4.4.2 text messaging app.)
however, as soon as you turn your data on, both the audible notification rings and the full message text comes thru.
my question: is there any setting available that will automatically turn the data on when an mms message arrives? if so, where is it found? or is there a workaround that will do this?
if not, well, that's just dumb.....
thanks!
