Foreign languages in SMS - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi all.
I have X10 mini 2.1 rooted and just decided to mess a little in the system directory.
So here system/usr/ I found 2 folders with foreign languages I will never use.
In the first folder the language files were with .xml so I deleted the unneeded.
In the second folder the languages were folders too and i deleted the same languages.
So I restarted my phone and checked in SMS but the languages were still there...
So tell me, have I done something wrong by deleting them?
And how can I remove them completely?

Hmm, I got the same problem after I downloaded some programs from appxxxx.net or when I installed some GPS-programs from other sources.
All my SMS, and in the keyboard shotcuts (t9) shows now also with "czesh" letters aswell when I type.

Is there a way to "save" the xT9 words you add?

Ok, what i'm wondering is; Is there any way to save the words you add to the xT9? I'm using it and its irritating to spell every word once again after a "Hard-reset"
Please, it would have been great to have some kind of backup on the words
"Sorry for my English, from Norway"
go to windows folder and save these 2 files. eT9Cdb.Cdb and eT9Rudb.Rdb. after hard reset rename the original files in windows folder to anything you want then copy your saved files to replace the renamed ones.start a message or any text document and add a word.you'll notice the words you stored from before the hard reset will still be there...

[Q] Persian Localization Problem

Hi there,
I tried to localize my Xperia by adding those three language library files to the "lib" folder, but after trying to restart, the device won't work.
What are my options beside flashing the device?
Thank you in advance

[Q] Change layout for external USB/OTG keyboard

Hello,
I have been the happy owner of a SGS2 for 3 months and the recent need of having an external USB (for the moment, Bluetooth will come later) external keyboard connected to the USB/OTG port. So I bought a keyboard, connected it, and it worked like a charm !... except for the layout which cannot be configured in something else than QWERTY.
So I started my search of a way to change the layout and I found several ways, one of which seems to work well : changing the .kcm.bin and .kl files in /system/usr/keychars and /system/usr/keylayout directories.
I rooted my phone, installed the android sdk and started to adb push and pull several files, and heres come my question : for an external usb keyboard, WHICH .kcm.bin and .kl files are to be modified in a french SGS2 ?
If it is possible, I would like to keep the qwerty.kcm.bin original file intact. I tried to modify a qwerty2.kcm.bin that was there, without success. Is there a way to add a layout, and tell the system to use it for any external USB keyboard ?
Thanks for your answers.
All right, now I'm desperate... I even changed the qwerty.kcm.bin file, and it still didn't work... In fact I changed every possible kcm file present in the keychars directory, along with its corresponding .kl file in the keylayout directory... no success. I'm really wondering which file can be modified or added to let an external keyboard have its layout changed...
Any idea ?
What ROM do you use?

[Q] Import custom dictionary into LatinIME.apk

Hi,
I found a custom dictionary for my language and I just can't get it to be recognized. I unzipped LatinIME.apk and created a new "raw" folder for it in res, there already was the xml layout present in the .apk.
I signed the zip using this tool(mass apk signer) and copied the new apk into system/app and set the correct permissions. However when I go into keyboard>input languages I can still only choose the layout, the dictionary is not available.
But if put my main.dict into and existing raw folder, for example "raw-it", and go to choose italian the dictionary works. However then I don't have the special characters for my language.
So there's some link missing, something to link the newly created raw-hr folder to the layout.
Below you can find the original LatinIME.apk and the main.dict. If someone can fix this for me, I'd be much obliged.
Thanks!

I'm having the same problem.
I'm trying to add the Hebrew dictionary from CM to the stock LatinIME so suggestions and swype would work in Hebrew.
I've pulled the main_iw.dict file from the CM LatinIME.apk and tried inserting it to the stock LatinIME under "\res\raw" where all the other .dict files are and then replaced the modified LatinIME.apk with the original.
This has no effect.
I wonder how CM solved this...
Any luck with your attempts?
