TV listings, Canada - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On the anniversary of my Nexus One purchase, I ask quizzically: Why is there still no app for Canadian TV listings? Or is there a super obvious choice I'm missing out on?

I've written one
market.android.com/details?id=com.sonicPenguins.tvGuide
It uses Zap2It, so you have to register with them first and add your fave shows.

Thanks for the necropost but I don't want favourite shows. I want the entire listings for the channels I get.

Expected a little more taboptimization. Not that much of a difference compared to the normal version. Thanks anyway

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
Is anyone else getting an expired time warning? Maybe some with a P-7500 cpuld be so kind to check samsung appstore for an update and post the apk here ? The normal (non HD) version on getjar had same problem. Fixed it with an update.
The one I had from getjar said it had expired this morning. It actually made me very happy. I found that XDA Premium HD app is in the market just released today and on sell 50% off. It's been running great! There are many differences as to where and how to do things so it's taking a bit to get used to and find where to do what I want when it's in a different place, but so far I've found everything and more! It's great to know I'm supporting XDA again also. Even though it so little money.
I don't know why the other said it expired, but thank goodness it did.

If you hit the back key you can get rid of the expired message. I also decided to purchase XDA premium HD! on sale for 99ยข and I am proud to say my very first market purchase, after 2.5 years of Android!
Awesome app compared to tapatalk HD, and loving that I got to support XDA in the process.
First post from my new app as well, come on guys for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a cup of coffee support xda!
I know boosting paid apps is prob against some xda forum rule, but this is for xda's own appp........and it's awesome.

Sure there is... its called supporting xda with by getting one of the paid versions.
Really though I suggest the HD version highly and for only 99 cents right now for no nag screens and a free ICS upgrade when it comes out. Couldn't be more worth it.

XDA Premium HD vs. XDA Premium app

So i want to buy the XDA Premium app but then i see there is a XDA Premium HD app as well. The price on the HD one is 50 cents cheaper but that isn't my concern. I know it says the HD one is for tablets but being that the EVO 4G LTE has the nice 720p display, how well does it work. Will the HD version look any different? Better? Worse? I would think the XDA Premium would look very similar other than no ads compared to the free XDA app. But how does the HD version compare?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i thought it would be fitting since my question has to do with how the app(s) look on the EVO 4G LTE.
Thanks!
I could be totally wrong, but i remmeber that the iPad apps have an HD at the end of them. Maybe its optomized for tablets. But i knwo the XDA premium app works on tablets. So i could be wrong

You're right, it is for tablets as I've said already but some of the reviews are from non-tablet devices. I'm trying to figure out what looks and functions better for the EVO LTE though.
Does anyone have the HD version on their EVO LTE?

It's funny you guys are taking about this, because I have xda hd on my evolte ,and it works great, it kinda makes me wonder what other tablet apps might work on this phone
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Well I just bought the non HD version as there were not many reviews for the HD one and they were mixed. There was only one from someone with a EVO LTE and it was bad. No regrets with this version.

Ir blaster with apex tv

Hey guys, love my new phone and love the ir blaster feature. It's fun to mess with my friends and just watch the TV turn on. The one problem is with my home TV is an apex and I can not get my one to control it at all. I've gotten tons of other tv's to work. My same TV is at work and my coworker tested the apex TV with his s4 and he experienced the same problem. Give me a minute to find the model. If anyone has an idea of how I can get my TV to work I would be very grateful.
Update: TV model is APEX LE3242
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
If you go to the manufacturer not listed option when selecting the manufacturer you can learn the IR code - if you have the factory remote anyway
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Okay will try when I get home thanks.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
No problem. I was also going to suggest trying manufacturer from the list, however I found out that Apex makes Apex TV'S. Sometimes you'll find that for example, Toshiba makes Westinghouse (I believe).

In a serious note, have you tried factory reset? Does any other application show this graphic problem around this area? If your rooted you can find the weather app from stock ROM and replace the faulty one you have.
