our folio is hardcoded to use wlan0 device which will then "conflict" with you usb ethernet adapter, which normally by new kernel (DerArtem edition) will be assigned eth0 and all dhcp scripts are also pointing to wlan0 .
so it is not really supported unless you manually configure the new ethernet device. which is not easy if you don't have linux experience.
ok thanks and thanks for your mod
I am a happy Folio 100 user .
I have this system CM10.1 (4.2.2) Beta 1 - 3.1 kernel on my tablet .
I would to use an usb ethernet ( rj45 plug ) adapter on it instead of wifi .
Is there a list of compliant devices for this couple Toshiba Folio 100 / CM10.1 (4.2.2) Beta 1 - 3.1 kernel ?
Could I try ASIX chipset ?
Is there linux 3.1.10 support already included for it ?
I have just to desactivate wifi interface and after plugging the usb adapter to use on my Folio ?
Is that right ?
Thank you for work .

Hi,
I have cheap tablet with Android 4.0.3 (cpu arm cortex a8).
Unfortunately I have only one host mini usb port + adapter (mini usb - usb with host usb). I'm trying to connect devices by :
hama usb 2.0 hub (bus-powered)
unfortunately only first connected device is working properly next devices are not visible for the system. Is there any way to add drivers/software to use usb hub on android?
2nd question is that i'm trying tu run usb bluetooth v2.0 class 2.0 with BlueTerm software installed - but nothing works.
Which software/drivers are compatibile with usb bluetooth v2.0?
or chich usb bluetooth version I can use with BlueTerm??
Thanks
Now I'm in the situation that hub is working - I mean that when I connect external keyboard, pendrive - it's ok.
But.. when I want to connect 3G modem it works like that:
- if other devices are connected to hub before 3g modem, they are working correctly, usb modem receive power but cannot log in to the network.
- if 3g modem is connected as a first device (rest of the ports are empty) 3g modem connects with the network but if I try to connect any device more, those devices are not working..
Also still I didn't found sollution no my BT problem

How did you get the hub to work? I bought one, but is not working...
Hi all,
I've done a lot of search on how can i create a usb-to-ethernet connection (using a usb-to-ethernet adapter) for my archos 35 home connect but i couldn't find anything. After searching here i actually realized that the adapter is not recognized because of the rom which is made up like this from the manufacturer. I've read somewhere, here in the forum but for another device (i think it was for a mobile phone with android), that applying a rom made by that member who posted the rom, the device would recognize all usb-to-ethernet adapters.
My question is, is there any "cooked" rom around for archos 35 home connect which enables support for usb-to-ethernet adapters?
Thanx in advance
ps:viewing the change log of the firmware updates it seems that the adapter i own is already supported but for another device (copy from log Version 2.4.65 - October 20th, 2011):
"A101 accessory: add support for some USB Ethernet adapters (chipsets: RTL8150, ASIX AX88xxx, Davicom DM9601, SMSC LAN75xx, SMSC LAN95xx, NetChip 1080, MosChip MCS7830)"
It seems that noone has this device or it's impossible to do what i what... :crying:
Hi, I wonder if USB Hosting works on Nook Tablet?
Does it require OTG cable?
I have this type of keyboard that can be connected to Nook via microUSB cable, but it doesn't work.
I'm currently on CM10.1, but does any other ROM support USB Host?
I have an OTG Adapter that works at least on a Galaxy S3, but not on the Nook Tablet with CM 10.1.3.
Anyone knows how to get it working (if possible at all)?
AFAIK, USB Host is currently not supported on the NT.
FWIW USB Host is supported (for common USB device types such as keyboard/mouse, flash drives) on the Nook Simple Touch (running rooted stock ROM and a modified kernel version) and on the HD+ (running either CM10.1 or CM10.2).
Hi,
does any of the countless i9100 (not "G") ROMs have OTG support?
Best regards,
toshibashi
CyanogenMod does support OTG.
Just checked with CM12.1.
And when i remember correctly, Cm11 worked as well.
I have cyanogenmod 12.1-20160106 Nightly-i9100 kernel 3.064-cm-gd71763e [email protected] #1. I have enable Android debug brigde and usb debbuging but OTG is not working. The cable is tested on a sony experia tablet and works fine with usb mouse and usb flash drive. I have also download several programs like USB OTG Helper, Stick (something), and others i don't remember. One of them said s3c usb host driver is missing. Any idea how to fix OTG?
Thanks in advance
What is OTG?

OTG is the ability of a phone to connect USB devices with an adapter connected to the microUSB port. You can connect keyboards or USB sticks, for example.
Well I run stock CM12.1 and never had any problem with OTG. I don't know if it might be the problem that your USB OTG adapter is not from Samsung?
I have a kate SD with resurection remix on android 7.1.

You will need to include this in android kernel and then flash that kernel. First learn how to compile kernel, then learn adding additional drivers and then compile your own kernel.
