I recently purchased the HTC Mozart, I'm happy with it but the only problem I have with the phone is that the only text input on the device is a full QWERTY keyboard, every phone I have had to date has had alphanumeric with predictive text or in many cases the choice to choose between the two and I thought it was standard on a phone, I find the lack of this on the Mozart quite annoying because I have always inputted text on phones this way and I find the QWERTY keyboard much slower and tedius to use. Does anybody know if this will be addressed in an update at any point, or if not would I be able to install software on my device to enable me to do so?
Thanks.

I have tried several times to talk to t mobile tech support about my pictures being resized and they say they dont tech non t mobile phones. Whenever I get a picture message it does not fit to screen like a branded phone and I can not zoom in its very small. I am using a s740 unbranded and un locked, does anyone else have this problem? It really annoys me
many things may cause it.
the maximun dimensions and size (kb) supported:
1.by the receiver's phone
2.by the sender's phone
3.by the receiver's provider
4.by the sender's provider
any of these factors may cause a resize...personally I used to own an unbranded s743,but I have never used the mms service.
My advice is to try to find out which of these 4 factors causes the problem and if it is your phone then you can ask again for help here.if it is the provider that does not allow big pictures, then you can't do much...
I think I accidentaly found it!

*a similar setting must be configured at the sender's phone too.
Has anyone been able to successfully send Japanese characters in an SMS using their Atrix?
I've tried 3 or so different IMEs (Simeji, MultiLing, and something else), with no luck. The characters appear and enter fine, but when I hit send, nothing happens...
Also, the characters appear fine in gchat, and emails and such, and are able to send just fine. The only problem is in sending SMS.
I doubt it's AT&T, as the iphone can send and receive said emails, and a buddy of mine is using an HTC EVO, and he is able to send and receive using the same IME (MultiLing) that I'm using... I can even receive his texts in Japanese.
Upon further research, I came up with a thread on code.google.com http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3393 . A random fellow (in post 55) stated that he fixed it by changing the input mode in Messaging-->Settings--> Input Mode to Automatic (or Unicode)...
Now, the Atrix doesn't have a setting for this in the settings menu. Does anyone know if there is a secret registry setting where this could be toggled?
Anything helps!
Thanks,
-Casey
It's AT&T. They strip bits so that all that gets sent are the lower 7 bits. Pointing to e-mail doesn't apply, as that's a completely different protocol (SMS is the only one piggybacking directly on GSM).
If you take your current phone over to Japan, you'll magically find that you can start receiving texts in Japanese... until you go back to AT&T.
Have fun!
not the case my friend sent me a text in japanese because i am japanese cant read or speak it since i was born here in the states but i used google translate figured out what he said and replied in japanese if u long press the translation it copies and simply paste in text
i installed gingerblur 2.3.4 uae arabic on my atrix 4g 3 months ago. it was a roller coaster for me.
when i enter in the dialer codes like *100# to check my balance it gives me a message in gibberish. this message is generated from the network to show directly on the screen balance and units used during phone call after ending call. or requesting balance info by entering code in dialer. this is not a sms.
under settings.
wireless & networks
cell broadcast
notification languages. theres only English French and 3 others.
im not sure if there is any relation.
i own a laptop dock. i dont want to lose this feature. if it werent for the laptop dock i would remove gingerburb in a heart beat.
i dont have alot of time to fiddle with the phone. im hoping there is a rom that covers arabic support for everything with laptopdock feature. and get rid of gingerblur if possible..
Hi,
I've been using the Max for a few days and have very much enjoyed the fingerprint feature, however, since enabling storage encryption two days ago this feature now seems to have been disabled: the option has disappeared from the settings and sliding my finger has no effect, is this intended?
Also, a quick second question, I had my phone imported to the UK from the USA, upon receiving it the language was in Japanese, I've changed it to English, but when rebooting, the encryption password dialog is still in the default language, and there is also some Japanese bloatware on the phone that I can't remove, is it possible to flash the phone to a European/American variant?
Thanks.
Hi there. I recently got a bluetooth keyboard and have nearly set up my tablet to be perfect, however i was hoping someone could tell me how I can have the enter key to send messages on the keyboard?
