That’s right, guys. Just download from your phone’s browser and install like a normal app. It’s currently working great on my Evo 3D although I’m not sure if this will work on phone’s equipped with Android 2.1 and lower (per Google) but I don’t think that will stop you from trying, right? Let us know if it works for you! Enjoy!
Oh — and if the new Market ISN’T your cup of tea or starts to act a little wonky, you can always go back to the old Market following these simple steps:
Go into your phone’s Settings
Select “Manage Applications”
Select the “All” tab at the top
Scroll down to Market app and select it
Select “Uninstall Updates”
Now have your old Market back!

Since the Last Two Market Updates, has anyone noticed that there's a Limited amount of Apps that get Shown when Typing in the SearchBox... Even though its says that there's about 3000+ apps to choose from!
For Instance I Typed "ROOT" as my selected word to search, and with the Old Market there would be Dozens to look through, but Now its Definitely a Shortened List...
Anyone Experience this?

If you are rooted use the application "OldMarket" by chris idea team
That's what I use to switch between new and old market easy.

This!!!!
The first couple of searches that i did only showed like 4 apps and I was confused. But, just click the number of results found in the upper right hand corner and BAM, the rest of the list of apps show up. I don't see how this doesn't work for some of you. Video your Market search and post it here to show us what you're doing

I flashed a nandroid back to 2.3.3 stock from cleanrom just to use the old market for the bill to my account option, could of been a result from cleanrom, could be my noob status(learning new stuff daily thanks to xda) however either way it goes the old market rocks, and Google only reveals failed attempts at making the old market stick when trying to revert from the new one, the apps suggested above are the best bet at using old market. The new market seems to be a step backwards

what else would i be clicking on?? it says "3343 results" and i OBVIOUSLY clicked on that..
i love the way this market looks... but it sucks.. and half the **** i want to download says its not compatible with my device.. (and yes i have cleared cache and data.. fixed permissions in recovery... still nothing)

i was able to install certain apps from the market without any problems. but when i uninstall them and decided to install them back, i'm unable to. i get message in market that says that the app isnt compatible with my device... i dont get it! how can i fix this?

sorry it was late when I post this but the runny v3.3 rcmix3d is in the desire hd thread. But yeah it could be in the build prop settings but be careful with the change but im sure it has something to do with the I D of the phone in your file explorer in the sys folder you will see the buil.prop once your their you will see all the way to the bottom stuff like ro.model.= as example. I also have inspire 4g and i had this issue but when Capychimp updated his rom it was fix

hi negrobembon.. i didnt change anything in the build file. but i did install 'font changer'. and this does change the dpi. but, i changed the dpi back to normal and i still get the same issue.

I was getting same problem and it was getting annoying. I fixed it by logging into the android market on the web and tried to install an app that said not compatible. Hope that helps.

Also your market problem is very weird, try to restore and old backup from before u deleted the apps

orb i appreciate your work on xda.. but keep in mind that i put my question in the forum that i thought best. there are many forums here and many times ppl dont know where exactly to put their question or issue. honestly, i dont know the difference between q&a and general forum. to me theyre so similar that theyre the same. i thought i posted my question in the forum that i thought best. you cant ban or punish someone for posting a question in the forum that they thought was a good fit . its not theyre fault.

Thanks to the encouragement of a fellow XDA member (BearW815) I have finally decided to flash CM7 for the Photon. It was a adventure getting there. I already had my phone 1 click rooted - so all that remained was to unlock and install CWM. So I thought. Apparently the 1 click root and installing CWM do not jive together. So now I had to unroot and do the process all over again. The process has just been finished and chills shot down the spine to see CM7 on my photon. Not all sure what works and does not, but it is exciting to see it yet again!!! Oh how I missed you CM7!!!
Thanks to Cybik, Shabby, Mrinehart, QBKing, and BearW815 for all there help. You guys (or gals) rock and I am very appreciative. Now I have to create a quadratic class for my programming class and my phone is a huge distraction now!!!

Glad you got working. Now go through the thread and find the few fixes you need (and I do mean a few). I only needed the mms and YouTube fix and it's running 100% now.

will do, I saw that going into root explorer and adjusting the build prop to 0's. The one thing I am having a problem finding is how to sync account, and I am not able to find how to get Market installed - any suggestions??
Search xda for the newer market app and try flashing that. 3.3.12 i believe

I had a brain fart - had to think back to the Hero and EVO days - there was always a seperate file for Market - thanks to you both - I have it installed - downloaded themes - I'm doing everything except my damn homework - Damn you CM7.

Open Apns using voice search.. delete the three already there and do the rest according to this attachment.. Scroll to apn type and put mms reboot u should be good

whoops - I received a picture mail - assumed that meant I could send them as well - and we know what happens when we assume!!! So I read through the link for the MMS fix - downloaded Voice Search and said Open APNS and it directs me to a Wiki page. Am I doing something wrong??

should have came with the gapps I believe. I over looked it as I just used the search on my phone lol
i tryed flashing the cm7 from cybik but i think im stock in a boot loop .the cyanogen droid comes from the side the arrow goes round adn the screen blanks and repeats been doin that for 11 mins now how long did your first boot take?

Make sure to do a full wipe first before install. Data reset.
Anyone have it or know if it works on sense 4.0? I hate the space bar on my current keyboard but like Everything else. I always hit the comma because I am use to a larger space bar. DNA keyboard looks right up my alley

I was mire looking for,someone that had a DNA an Judy pulled it from system app. I think I will check their forum and see if any type of Rom is,posted and I will try to extract and install. Just checking to see if,anyone posted the apk or had it

The new RUUs are protected... We cannot decompile and make roms from them anymore... And I'm 99.9% positive the keyboard won't work being that its made for JB and our sense 4 roms are ICS

Damn. Thanks for the heads up. I never snatched from an ruu so that's my bad. The download never finished so I didn't get to try, bad host seems like. Worth a shot thanks for the help.

HTC started protecting the ROM.zip files that can be extracted from RUUs on all the JB ruu's... And football(guy with all the latest ruu leaks) claims he's cracked them, but he is the only one and I'm sure he does not plan on sharing any info about how

this rom claims it has the JB IME i cant see img's at work due to there filter but you can check it out and see. (it might just be the N4 one though)

please make sure you pull the userdictonary and anything that uses the IME just in case they change target names on the apk.

I will. First Rom I found was deodexed but it won't open in root explorer. It shows 770mb data there but I open the folder to a blank page. So now I'm trying to download the Rom from the dev sun that someone linked here. What a long download. I will try to pull whatever i can find pertaining to the keyboard. I thought it was just the ime but I will dig thru it once it finally downloads

You might be able to get away with just the imie if you're on a sense 4 rom
