i got problem with "barcode scanner". It doesn't work correctly. On xperia x10 it works fine but on x8 it doesn't. Is there any way to make that working?

Why did you post that link?
I use this app and it works perfectly, so it's not the lack of auto-focus that is the problem.

On the x10 it works like a charm, so I posted the link to reinstall it.

Pls, show me a barcode scanner on X8 working - I tryied many ones.
The lack of autofocus is a big problem...
you can scan qr codes but normal barcodes and other stuff is nearly impossible!
In perfect light conditions it works but without autofocus in camera its really limited.

Not really.
let me rephrase myself..
I didn't mean that its always usable .. It tries to read a code but a blured picture from camera makes it hard to process image ...
but sometimes it works.. Try ShopSavvy4.

i think x8 Creator don't have autofocus in their brain..
QR codes are working.
But not barcodes.
Autofocus is missing, this is the problem.
Guys try neoreader app from market for me it works properly

Navigon
Navigon works fine I think.
Ndrive is alright. Froze up once but I think it was due to the phone overheating whilst sitting on the dash in my car.

what version are you using ?
cause mine freezes all the time, untill i disabled autorotation
I will test mine (Ndrive) this weekend, so I will report if it is common. I have an UK generic 2.1 unbranded.

Definitely Navigon. Never seen a more flawless piece of GPS software and I've tried TomTom, Route66, Autoroute, Ovi Maps and many others.

the name of the software is aura from sygic. i like more than navigon because it seems smoother.
Anyone with compass integration?

You said Google & Sygic when OFFLINE - Google doesnt really work offline, only on cached tiles.
Waze gets my thumbs up, and google navigation is up there also.

Is there any 2.2 rom that really the camera/camcorder fully works ? Or a way to fix it to use common apk like barcode scanner and microsoft tag ?

What could be done, has been done.
Devs used the 2.1 drivers to make the camera work in 2.2 so it's not perfect, but it's still usable and pretty decent. As far as barcode scanners are concerned, ScanLife works!

Yeap, there are quite a few! Vignette is said to be the best, although for me it's a little slow! Magic Hour is also nice!
Cam works on every 2.2 ROM except zoom and flash. Vignette is good alternative.

Yes flash doesnt work, the stablizer is good and besides they dont recommend the larger resolution was good...comparing the free editons vignette has low resolution but pictures are good (for the size) and flash works

Trying to use this app but soon as I start to pan, it stops. Not sure why. I make it about 1/3 of the way when it stops.

This is a seperate app. When you want 3D use the stock camera.
I have the Sony one that was on the xda homepage... Works pretty cool, Might have to give this one a try now.

Works fine on my S
After playing about with it its more hit and miss.
It will load up fine and work on an image, then ill try another image and it will crash. Ill load it up again and try the first image that worked and it will crash

Yeah! I think i understand why this app have a bad rate!

same here, it force closes after using whatever camera app (I used stock camera and Camera 360, both resulted to FCs). I'm suspecting that it's a ROM compatibility issue. Haven't tried it yet. I'm on MotoGinger II.
Anyone else having same problems on other ROMs?

After last update 1.0.2. I no longer have FC.

I managed to install it by using my pc to find it and even though it does lag a bit it works fine
I'm sorry I'm completely useless lol I'm using cm9 20406 from eppy works well. They just updated it, claiming they fix to force close problem

anyone else have trouble with the blur/tiltshift photos? When I apply the filter, the blurred part is just grey.
