i just tried to install a theme on my xperia x10 mini..done all the process root,mount copy,paste etc....and when i rebooted my device it shows only the task bar on the top and a white blank screen.i know i did something wrong but i really need the telephone these days.the only thing i can do is to press the power button and turn it off....is there a way to restore the original settings?and try again later with the theme?
You are wrong to upload the theme on your x10 mini, most likely you build a theme other than that you tried to install, you must reset the phone via Seus. It 'the only way. Sad but true.

SEUS is sony ericsson update service, download it from sony ericsson website, update your phone and it will restore to normal. Or it it can't work, use flashtool device from the forum.
warning : read carefully before starting to use flashtool. , and yes it's pretty stupid of you to install custom themes without knowing any contingency plan
edit : and btw next time, use xrecovery, it's so much simpler than the copy paste method. The installation is in this threat title xrecovery
the problem is that i can't tap anything on the phone so seus didn't work for me..i can only press the power button and then switch it off...i'll try the flash tool..

Just download sony ericsson update service from sonyericsson website, install it and run it. Then you follow the onscreen instruction.

when you see the sony ericsson boot up enter xrec and reinstall... if can't connect your phone to pc and reflash using SEUS or SE PC companion...
Well, this is the mini forum, not the mini pro. So if you took a rom from this section it's probably not compatible with your phone.
Also, use the search function. It's there for a reason.
Lots of people have problems with bootloops, just browse the forum for a while and you will most likely find detailed help for your problem.
boot in xrecovery go to advanced options -> wipe dalvik cache
1. Replace your battery or press both power button and home button
2. switch on phone
3. if see SE logo, press back button 1000x until xrecovery window show up
4. restore your back up or try factory reset
5. reboot
if cant boot to xrecovery then your phone is totally brick...
repair it using SEUS... and start all over again

Repair a phone isn't a hard thing. If you've made a backup before install the rom just restore. You can use SEUS (aka Sony Ericsson Update Service) to restore the phone. Try to reinstall the ROM. Make sure you followed all the steps during the ROM instalation.

Don't use PC companion, download SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service), install it and follow the instructions.

I've broken my Xperia X10 Mini...
I tried to flash it using Flash Tool and firmare E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Sony Ericsson.ftf (I read that it work to E10a to )
And everting looks good, but after the process he can Turn On!!
When I push the power button, my cellphone vibrate, but don't appear anithing...
I tried to reinstall using SEUS but he says that there's no longer update avaible and don't show me any option to "install anyway"
Can anybody help me??
Try to find a way to unplug the battery.
I don´t know what the Xperia looks like inside but on the Mini there is a small rubber thing behind the cover that exposes the battery connection.
Have you tried hard reset?
And then SEUS?

I have shutdown the Battery and nothing...
Is that Hard Reset is made by Hardware???

I tried this steps but it doesn't work!!
The SEUS says me that "It allready updated" and don't show me any option to reinstall the software...
And the PC Companion 2.0, in the repair screen, after update his database, is returns me a error: "PC Companion Error: Can not install or start the components of phone update"

im actually facing 100% similar problem after flashing 2.1.1.a.0.6 rom.....and nothing appears after.... so what generic rom u used? and please write the steps for me..... i tried installing "Sony Ericsson X10i_2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897.ftf" but it gives error while flashing on start...process aborted... because i think the previous rom (2.1.1.a.0.6) was successfully installed... in the end it says to turn on phone and turn on option of debugging but the phone u know wont turn on...!! please help with ur experience

SEUS did not work?
I need to flash my X10 Mini, but I can't find the firmware for It anywhere with a working link. Anyone that still have the file and willing to share?
There are only plenty of links to sites that are down
I tried to install MiniCM7-2.1.9-robyn on the phone and then afterwards it just won't start anymore, so i need to flash it and then use SEUS to restore it.
UPDATE!
I found everything and fixed everything I needed by just flashing It with a stock kernel.
Just use the Repair option in Pc Companion.

They guides that teaches you how to fix a bricked phone got links to megaupload (that got shutdown not long ago) and multiupload (also got shutdown) for the firmware I'm looking for.
If you can't turn the phone on, then flashtool won't help you. You have to able to turn the phone on to get to download mode for flashtool, or Pc Companion, or SEUS to do their thing.
If your phone doesn't turn on, you've got a hard brick. Which is bad.

No, it can be a hard brick, he didn't do anything to put his device in danger (from what he claims).
He just needs a stock .ftf file for mini, which I was planning to do in the past, but did only for the pro... I am sorry my friend... There is only one solution -to make the ftf file yourself, which is something very confusing and you are going to need another mini to do this. But don't get your hopes down, it is possible, at least...

The phone it self comes to a point where there is some light on the screen, but i can't see the SE Logo anymore. I can charge the phone without problem from what it looks.
If I can get hold of another mini how can I make the ftf?

As far as SEUS is concerned, you DO have the latest software. It just doesn't realise that what you have doesn't work. Select the option to reinstall the software.

Only one problem here, I don't have the option to reinstall the software at all after it says that I already have the latest software.

There is a repair option in PC Companion, see it, please! The repair option on PC Companion is Support Zone --> Update --> Repair.
BTW, to hard reset :
1. Turn the phone off
2. Press the POWER button
3. Press and hold home key aprox 3 seconds
4. The hard reset is starting.
Hello there!!! I had the same problem just yesterday and I was about to get crazy in order to solve it...and then I found this post which was definately useful!!!! Just follow every single step and it will get back to work...btw I still can't flash the nAa-11 kernel with flashtool...it keeps on saying error and the flashing doesn't work

I managed to find the stock kernel so now I'm starting the device, but I get a SE logo and then It shuts off.
One problem when I try to repair on step 2 (prepare step) I get a error unable to start or phone update update components. (the pc companions is installed with the newest version)

I installed a Rom that went wrong and had to use flashmode with sony's update program, not sure how it's called these days. I if you install that and plug it into the pc holding down the Back button, it recognizes it and will all you what you want to do. Select restore (or something similar). It'll restore it back to 2.3.3. After that you can install xRecovery again with flash tool.
Be aware that this worked for my semi bricked X10i, no guarantee it'll work for you ofcourse.......good luck

Thks, i tried this for 2 days, but in the Pc companion display the message " no exist software update for your phone", later, put on the phone and noting, only one vibrate and the lcd is permanently black, i put again to usb/pc and display the message SEMC flash.... , pls exist a solution for this issue??? thks
You only get that message when you plug in the phone too early
Update>repair>select x10i>then press continue etc>THEN connect phone.
And run stuff as administrator if you got w7.

Yoy can try flashing a different kernel.Ive had all sirts of errors and failures,something always works.

I didn't install xrecovery before the wiping, so there are nothing that i could do even i had xrecovery
How can i install custom rom? Since it is my first smart phone.
Moreover, right now the phone can't connecting to a computer at all.
I checked a lot of topics that required the phone is able to connect to a pc,
In order to install any custom roms.

If your provider didn't change the software on your phone too much, this will work. It will work best if you leave your phone disconnected from your pc until step 7

Usb to Computer can be detected but not able to connect
U should try to connect to flash mode what I did when it was rebooting on self
1-removed battery till step 7
2-quickly insert it (dont even use back cover till ur done)then hold back button and plug the cable in ur phone untile led flashes(plug usb in pc b4 starting this)

If non of above helps ur last solution would be flashing stock kernel (which can be found on xda) with flashtool with the battery quick in and backbutton method but youll need ur bootloader unlocked
