hi can someone please help i tried to flash my xperia x10 mini and failed badly and now when i turn on my phone the logo screen comes up and then just stays on... ive left it for about 20 minutes but still nothing its like its bricked on the logo screen i can restart it but it just does the same again. Ive also tried taking the battery out putting it back in then using the update service to lock it in flash mode while i use binarys flash kit but that doesnt work either. Also the update service just says no software update is available it thinks i already have the latest one please help i will be truely greatful x
Edit :
Ive already tried SEUS, PC Companion, Binary's Flash Kit.
Ive already tried connecting it to the adb but cant get adb to recognise a connected device and all the drivers are installed.
i guess you have, but i've to ask, have you tried the repair option in SEUS/PC Companion?
yeh i have seus says i already have the latest software version installed and pc companion actually wants me to load my phone up to connect it :/ any ideas? x
me too!!
i had the same problem with you...
how to get shutdown this phone?
phone must be shutdown when i want to flashing from SEUS..
and i don't know how to shutdown this phone because the battery....
edit : just connect your phone and use restart (hold power button & middle button)
after reboot, press back button and you will connect with SEUS...
but, my phone already get latest update...and i can't flashing from SEUS...
sob..
ive been shutting down the phone by taking the back off and unscrewing the inside cover. Then you will see the battery cable where you can simply unplug it from the motherboard and then reinsert it.
Edit: I also have connected to SEUS but it says i already have the latest software
Ive taken it to a local phone repairs shop ive given up... they said it'll be fresh and working by tomorrow morning it cost me £20 but its just one of those things en it :/
hey guys
all you need is to follow the instructions on SEUS,
when it tells you that you have the latest software press repair.
and when it say that you should turn off your phone and then reconnect it while pressing the back buttom do the following:
1- connenct the phone to the computer
2- press the 3 buttoms (power + mid buttom + back buttom) then as your phone restarts and vibrate remove your fingers from the power and mid buttoms but maintain pressing on the vack buttom
i hope this will help
Help Guys i have a paperweight!
My samsung vibrant is totally bricked! I have tried many different meathods and all do not work at all. I even bought a jig off ebay! That doesn't even put it into download mode.
Please help!
Can someone please make my paperweight work again?
I was flashing a new baseband on the phone when Odin stalled for some reason. I accidentally disconnected my phone and now stuck on the phon!computer screen only!
Hi...
I had a similar situation with my phone.
When you get the "phon!computer screen" you should only connect the cable and start the flash with odin....
Try this and you could solve your problem...
i did it doesn't do anything!
When you have odin open, usb in the pc connected.... when you connect to phone while holding both volume buttons, does odin show a COM #?
if so, you should be okay... from that screen you can use odin.
well try this with phone off 1.take out battery 2.hold volume up and volume down together 3. while holding buttons down put battery back in 4.still holding buttons plug usb into it and should be in download mode .see if this helps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqxearzXrVY here's a video might help to see it done
so i just got pissed and used odin3 and checked repartition and somehow after it failed. I pluged the phone in again and this time it finally went to download mode. Thanks everyon problem solved.
good to here
Hello there. My device is LG Optimus Chic E720, and a couple of days ago, I installed ROM Manager and downloaded a random ROM. After the download was complete, a window came out and I clicked on "Backup current ROM". After that the phone restarted and entered in fastboot mode with a black screen and an inscription saying: "Fastboot mode started udc_start()".
I looked around the internet how to remove that and i found this tutorial: http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/382525-guide-get-out-fastboot-mode.html and i did it step by step and it worked. The phone got out of the fastboot mode and rebooted itself. But after that the LG logo came out for 2-3 secs and the phone rebooted again and again. I plugged in the data cable so that the phone wouldn't turn off and pressed vol up+vol down+power button and it entered in emergency mode. I couldn't do anything. I looked around the internet again and i saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121 and decided to try it. I did everything it says, except that in the "phone mode" menu, i chose "emergency", because my phone was in that mode. So I started the software update and everything was going OK until it stopped updating (or at least i thought so). It just stopped, the phone went off and that's it. Now it doesn't want to turn on. It's practically dead.
I am asking you guys, is there any chance of me bringing it back to life and how ?
UP
come on guys..
I got the same problem with the same phone lg e720, and there is not solution at all! Unless somebody reply with a solution (impossible) This a a real bricked phone case, sorry to say that

Hi, I have a samsung galaxy s2 that I bought off kijiji. It is white and was originally from bell. I unlocked it and the phone worked great for 2 weeks I could charge it pull the battery out and put my koodo sim card and it worked. One night I went to sleep and woke up and it was dead. So I went to go charge it and it didn't charge or want to turn on... So I went to go buy a new battery that was already fully charged and I put it in the phone and it worked, it turned on and everything worked. Then it died again as I was at school and it wont charge or turn on again! So I gave both batterys to a friend who has the same phone to charge and then I tryed it in my phone again and it wont turn on. I made a youtube video of my problem so this my explain it a little better also. Here is my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=184adlrU9eQ&list=UUGtRGDv9GcPPEZS3_oLB8UQ&index=1&feature=plcp

Can you get to download mode? Hold volume down home and power on button. If you can go to www.sammobile.com and download a stock firmware and flash through Odin

Do you know if the phone is still on the guarantee? It most-likely is so you should bring it to Samsung ASAP and they will probably give you a refurbished one. The only problem is if you used a code to unlock the device, you'll pretty much lose it. Don't bring it to Bell, they won't give a damn because they're not your provider.

Bottom line is, if you haven't rooted the phone or run non-stock firmware on it, don't risk doing that now to try and fix it. If it borks, you'll end up voiding your warranty.
Send it into Samsung/an authorised repairer & have it repaired under warranty is my advice (contact Samsung in your country to get details of repairer).
Now, if you have rooted the phone/run non-stock firmware on it, and you can get into download mode then you can still fix it. If you can't get into download mode tho, there's no chance of you fixing it so don't even attempt to. Send it to a service centre & hope they don't notice you've been messing with it.
I cannot get into download mode.
No download mode, no recovery & phone won't boot = service centre/Samsung authorised repairer & hope they can't tell you used a bit of dodgy software to try & unlock the phone & borked it in the process.
I guess you could try a jig & see if that gets you into download mode as well.
This problem just happened to me... I did the soft reset mentioned in other forums and did not work... so I took the battery, sim card, and SD card out and put the battery cover back on, left alone for 1hour... tried soft reset again and worked.
Soft reset: Battery out, press ON button for 10 secs, put battery back on, turn on.
As I said yesterday I had problems turning on the phone and managed to turn it on by performing a soft reset... now the problem is that I usually turn it off every night and this morning it happened again, the phone won't turn on... did the same soft reset and there it went again but I am now scared of turning it off and never be able to turn it on again... Can someone suggest what the problem may be? would be a hardware problem? Or should it be a ROM/Kernel/Recovery problem?
Its hardware. I had this issue and it killed two batteries (mine drains battery and kills it, single use battery...) gave to Samsung and was fixed with motherboard and LCD change.
My Gf's Galaxy 2 wont torn on just keeps vibrating. Does like it going to turn on but it inmediately shut itself off. Please i need a solution!!
Sounds like a battery problem... get a new battery
It's not the battery

I have had same issue. I got a new battery and it still buzzes, doesn't charge and doesn't boot. It is probably a hardware problem.
i hope help
This happened to my phone and it really is a simple fix. First take the battery out of the phone for about 10 seconds. Then with the battery out plug the phone up, wait a few seconds, and put the battery in and immediately press power. Should be as good as new.
OR just plug in the phone when it's off and then power off

Same problem after having the phone on the shelf for a while
I guys..
Samsung Galaxy Sii GT9100-P
Not Rooted
Unlocked by using an unlock code (when adding an unrecognised sim) Was on Orange, unlocked it with a Voda sim in it.
upgraded the firmwareusing Samsung Kies last June.
then I got an S3 and put this on the shelf.
I have 3 Batteries for the S2 and charged them all with my desktop battery charger.
the phone will not power on if:-
Battery Out and on Cable with PC
Battery In connected to PC or Mains
Will not go into download mode
any battery charged and no cable.
I shelved this perfectly working and kept is as a "spare" phone.
now the time has come to use it.
anyone any ideas?
I know it is out of warranty, so I guess a chargeable fix will be required!
but I cant beleive a fully working S2 would due after being left on a shelf!
Thanks in Advance Guys!
Oh..
PC has been rebuilt since the Samsung Kies update, so I dont have the emergency or backup files to work with.
Cheers,
After an unsuccessful CWM flashing attempt, my phone it getting the infamous "SECURITY ERROR" message. Now, I tried the offline KDZ method, but like many other JB users, the flashing got stuck at 15%. So, finally I decided to use the online flashing method using the new LG Support Tool. But the sad part is that I am suffering from a low battery issue.
So, does anyone know how to charge a soft bricked Optimus L9?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
I'm just guessing but you could try removing battery for 15-20 sec then inserting it and connecting your phone to charger. If that doesn't work, try installing x and u using fastboot that try same process with removing battery...
You can always use another phone to charge your battery

I tried the fastboot method too, but I face a problem while doing it. The OAMP device which shows in the devices manager keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. So then I unplugged the USB and clicked on "show hidden devices" and then installed the drivers by clicking on the OAMP shown there. But when I plug in the USB again, the same reconnecting starts happening. Do you know a solution to this?
You should follow this post...
Connecting and disconnecting of OMAP device is normal, but it is important that it's recognized in device manager...
FINALLY UNBRICKED....
Sincere thanks to all those wonderful people who have made so many tutorials. I failed to do the offline KDZ flash as well as the fastboot method (as I have mentioned above). But anyway, I did unbrick my phone. I flashed using the online method as follows:
Download the latest LG Mobile Support Tool.
Connect your phone in "Software Upgrade" mode (by holding the Vol UP button while connecting the USB).
In the LG Tool, click on "Options > Recovery". Getting the recovery to open is a confusing task. You have to fiddle around with the USB Drivers options a bit.
Now, let the LG Tool do it's magic [In my case, it downloaded a 592MB file]
CAUTION: When the upgrade tool is in it's last stage, the phone will restart at around 93%. When it restarts, you quickly need to press and hold the Vol UP button to again enter the "Software Upgrade" mode, otherwise the upgrade will not succeed and you will get an error. If you get that error message, don't worry, the Tool will tell you how to "RETRY" (don't worry, no file will be downloaded from the internet this time )
REGARDING THE BATTERY ISSUE:
When my phone got bricked it was at around 65%. Now, when I finally unbricked it, I am seeing 83%!! So, either the phone charged when it was connected in the "Software Upgrade" mode, or it charged when I plugged the charger in the wall socket for half an hour. In any case, if your battery is dead (and phone is bricked) try to charge using a wall socket first. When you do this, the phone will automatically switch on and you will again get that sad "SECURITY ERROR" message. Just switch off the phone when you get this. Let the phone be plugged in for some time to let it charge. [NOW I AM NOT SAYING THAT IT WILL CHARGE AS I HAVE MENTIONED THE TWO POSSIBLE WAYS ABOVE, but hey, it's worth a try!] If your phone switches on, good job! Otherwise, try to charge via the USB by connecting to your PC/Laptop by going into "Software Upgrade" mode.
I just hope that the above points will help some unlucky soul who was stuck like me Remember, never give up!
Thanks to all for the tips my optimus was running fine at about 65 percent charged and just shut off. I bought a new battery charged all night in the wall still nothing. I can't get my computer to see it. when i hold power and vol down I can hear the computer make sounds like it recognizes it though

I don't think so, just now did it and I can here the computer making sounds like it recognizes it but nothing shows on the phone
p.s. guessing my board went bad, no worries though just first time I ran into something I couldn't fix if the cpu would read it or any software I might have a chance
If you still have warranty you should take your phone to service, if not then try installing fastboot drives and flashing x and u then try offline kdz flash...

well I did the fastboot option i found but not sure if I did it right, I downloaded the omna files but not sure if the right ones but I did get the screen to show a faded out lg symbol not sure if that means anything
Use fastboot from here. You have here how to install fastboot drives. Then follow instructions from this page.
Read instructions carefully and you should be able to successfully unbrick your phone.
