I am looking for a Gingerbread 'looking' rom for my LG Optimus S running 2.2.1. I would create one myself but as it happens I am unable to attain my original firmware through any of the posted methods. Does anyone know of a rom that would satisfy my desire? Thanks,

I'm a developer for the Optimus S over at Android Central. Go to the ROMs and hacks section for the LG Optimus S and look for my theme thread. If I could post a link I would but XDA wants me to post more before it allows me to post links..

Hi all, I just received my HTC Hero. It currently has the default android 1.5 rom.
What is the BEST rom update that is stock, no changes and which version?
There is 1.6, 2.0 and 2.1
What do you advise me to get and why?
Also, lastly, please could someone send me a link with instructions of how to update rom/software needed for update as I don't want to brick a brand new phone.

Vanilla: aHero or AOSP VanillaEclair 1.3
Sense: VillainROM 5.5 or BeHero

hasn't been developed on this forum....? Just check the HTC website for your latest retailer's ROM. They have instructions on there, if you're unable to follow "double click the exe to update" then please post somewhere else..... anywhere else..... preferably far away from here
I don't really know why your asking which stock rom is best on a forum which develops customised roms... on the other hand, if you want a guide explaining step by step how to install a customised rom (which are often far from stock) please read the first guide in my sig.
It is entirely up to you which ROM you pick but if you're going to create ANOTHER topic about which rom is "best" please read the Q&A section first and post in one of the hundreds of topics which have already been created in there!

Does anyone know how to root the updated 2.2.1 Optimus One without downgrading it? Has anyone tried SuperOneClick on it? And if you have, is there any difference in the method for installing ClockworkRecovery Mod on it? Is there any way to install ClockworkRecovery on it? Final question for now: Let's say that somehow, the phone get rooted etc. How can I use ROM Manager on it?

As of now, no rooting method exists for 2.2.1
Super one click and z4 both do not work on 2.2.1

Just read everything. All the models are about the same so there's not much difference in directions. Some threads will detail one step, and another some other step. And of course, pay attention to the specific readme for the rom you decide upon.

Hey I have a rooted Lg Optimus M version 2.2.2 and it works fine, for some reason i cant post links yet but you can just google "root optimus m 2.2.2" and its the first link on google that says "[ROOT KIT] Optimus M2.2.2"

one of our p500 forum member ARNAB321 just made a app to use multirom to boot diferent versions of android meaning now the roms only need new BB
