If you are looking for an inexpensive case that will give you good protection, I had bought this case for a netbook but discovered it works pretty well for the G-tab. It is memory foam padded. It has two clear vinyl straps that will hold the bottom of the G-tab in place and which allow you to still view the screen. It can actually function as a stand in landscape mode but it can't handle more than light taps this way unless the back is propped against something. I have attached a couple pictures.
Price is $7.21 shipped if you have amazon prime and $9.20 if you buy from third party amazon seller Senyx.
Outer Dimensions: 11-3/4" by 8-1/2"
Inner Dimensions 11" x 7-3/4".
link: http://www.amazon.com/Booklet-Netbo...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1295738870&sr=1-1
$4.21 for similarly sized cases of the same brand
The following two cases are cheaper ($4.21) and have the same dimensions (11 x 7.75 x 1 inner compartment and 11.2 x 8 x 1 inches outer shell) despite being marketed for smaller sizes netbooks, they are same brand (case crown) and provided by same seller (fulfilled by amazon as well).

I have ordered the above two, one for the GTab and one for a netbook
Thanks for tip OP.
From the single review of 8.9" case:
I accidentally browsed this netbook case and though it says it's for 8.9" netbooks, I was able to fit my 10.1" netbook comfortably.

sanvara: can you please confirm your amazon case dimensions ? Thank you in advance.
Good research. I didn't consider those since they seemed to be made for smaller netbooks. When I bought the case above a couple months ago it was on sale for $4.21 shipped too!
The outer dimensions on the case I have are 11-3/4" by 8-1/2" and inner 11" x 7-3/4". There is a fairly thick ring of padding around the edges which accounts for the difference between the outer and inner dimensions.
I personally like black and the slim design version over the double pouch for daily use but I may pick up the double pouch for when I want to carry the power cord somewhere.

I got mine the other day. It fits perfectly. The only thing to be careful of is remember the the "top" of the case is actually the "bottom." I already opened it once and forgot the the straps to hold it in are up by the handles. Luckily, I caught the tab before it fell out.
But I've already used the case to take the tablet on the road and it works and stands great. Watched a movie with absolutely no issue at all in this. I'm thinking about ordering the other one aasoror listed as well for the extra pouch for accessories as the tablet is taking flight this week.
Great find on these guys!
Thanks to both of you!

I looked at my local sears. They have the EXACT SAME case in the store, under the Case Logic brand for $15. But if you buy the G tab case online, it's currently under $5.00. Honestly, I think you're insane NOT to get this case for the price!
Agreed and its padded and the quality is good.

I just received this case. It doesn't fit. The inner dimensions are roughly: 9.5 x 7.25 inches. The G tab is roughly: 10.5 x 6.75 inches. So the case is about an inch too.
aasoror, where did you find the dimensions when you searched. They aren't listed in Amazon's page. Maybe they sent the wrong one?

Thanks more letting us know it doesn't fit. I almost ordered one. I wouldn't have thought it would fit since it's marketed for a 9" netbook.
The case I posted actually has a bit of room. When my case with the keyboard comes I'm going to see it it fits in there, I think it will.

Recieved my Amazon case today. Fits well and is a good deal for the $7
I am thinking about purchasing a basic neoprene sleeve to put my G-Tablet in. I don't need a normal case, as I have a custom carbon fiber weave on the back, and prefer holding it without a case. I just need something to protect it while it is in my book-bag. I was thinking about the following sleeve, but am worried about the size.
(apologise for the lack of proper link, I don't post very often)
amazon.com/ Neoprene-Netbook-Fujitsu-Samsung-Gateway/dp/B002TSCL2G/ref=sr_1_14?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296573496&sr=1-14
It lists for 10 inch netbooks, and its listed dimension is 11x8.25, which theoretically should work for the tablet. What do you guys think? There are similar sleeves for 12 inch netbooks, but I don't want the tablet sliding around inside too much.

Advent Vega Folio Case
I have had my Advent Vega for around a month now and have been concerned about keeping it safe. So a trip to Curry's i picked up the advent vega folio case.
First impressions of the case were good the device slides nicely into the case (although it could be a bit tighter) Giving good protection to the edges of the device. I am confident it would protect from light knocks and possibly minor drops.
There are cut outs for the i/o ports, even the microphone is visible. One of the few bad points is there is no cut outs for the speakers, so the volume needs to be increased.
The material is similar to my v-smart Armour case for my desire hd, a matte black with a textured finish. The pinstripe design inside is odd but not unattractive and there is a compartment for paperwork. The case also doubles as a easel, which is great for propping on the desk or coffee table for movie watching.
Overall, I think this case adds a small amount of bulk for the level of protection and for anybody with any worries about damaging there beloved advent vega, this is a must buy
Edit: Added some pics. Sorry for the poor quality
I am searching daily for a TPU gel skin/case for the vega or its various other variants, but so far I've had no luck, If anyone sees any around then pls let me know!
Hello all
The stock case from dixons et al was to expensive to ask for me xmas pressie.
Is it worth it?
Ive seen other cases at a similar price with a usb keyboard build in, anyone got any experiences of those? (with the usb fix obviously).
or, is the std vega case worth the outlay?
Im also more interested with pound shop ipad screen covers than the 12! pound dixons/curries/pcw ones.
Again, any personal experiences?

I got one of these HP Sleeves from DIXONs, about £21
this was after hearing that the cost v quality of the Advent case wasn't all that..
Its a well made sleeve, its neoprene so fairly water resistant I assume and the Vega rests on it nicely at the right angle for viewing and typing into without slipping off..
I'm really happy with the official case as it offers some decent functionality and a good bit of protection.
Just need to get a dock now!
Definitely looking at getting a folio style case like the official Vegas one, though that one's a bit expensive at the moment. They should really realise that people paying a budget price for the device itself aren't likely to pay a premium for the accessories.

Two days ago I tried the official Toshiba Folio 100 case on my Vega (Mobii 10) and it fitted very well!
And it serves as a stand too!
(look here and click on accessories)
I didn't buy it because of the price: € 39,99 (about 33 GBP)
And I would really love a case with a USB keyboard...
I guess there's none yet that fit's the Vega perfectly without blocking the USB port...

Advent Vega Folio Case
I really dont think £29.99 is a massive amount for a case. Most cases i get for my mobile phones are between £15-£20 and they are about 1/6th the size. I think the official case offers good value for the protection it offers.
Hey
I have the Advent case. I got it from my brother as a Christmas present. When I got it the Vega fit pretty snug and I didn't have to worry about what way I carried it. however after not even a month the Vega now slips out quiet easily.
For the price I'd have to say not worth it and I'd hold off for alternatives

Hi
can I to buy this case if I live out of UK??? dixon, pcworld, etc, don't send to Spain anythink...
saludos
So now that everyone's GTabs are on the way, lets focus on the goodies!
Im curious, whats everyones favorite cover/case?
I know I want the dock, but what else is a MUST HAVE? I've even read about a screen protector that improves viewing angle?!?
If you have any good suggestions, please let me know, post the URL for people to purchase etc!
Just received my Skinomi carbon fiber skin. Was very impressed with the material, looks to be the same 3M stuff that "dash kits" use in cars. 24 shipped on amazon. I've heard it sucks to install - but my tab won't be here until Thursday to find out
Right now I have just purchased the "Skinomi TechSkin - Black Carbon Fiber FILM Shield & Screen Protector" from Amazon (Skinomi.com has a larger selection and coupon codes can be found online), based on the reviews there and in a thread over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=904814) I believe is the best we can buy right now to protect the screen, I went for the full body kit as I have not yet decided on which case I will end with but will most likely be one with a keyboard so I can use it while in class.
I may pick some cheap capacitive pens down the road too just because you can get them pretty cheap and shipped straight to South America where I live
....I am a nOOb so can't post outside links yet....
I'm pretty happy with these...
Arkon Portable Fold-up Stand
Carbon Fiber ThinSkin in Black
CLIP - Folio Case
I bought a dock but didn't really find myself using it after I got it so I sold it off on eBay for a tidy profit.
I also had one of those cases with the built-in usb keyboard but found it looked way too cheap and didn't keep the gTab snug so I got rid of that on eBay for a tidy profit as well.
If you want a case with a built-in bluetooth keyboard I highly recommend checking out it2steve's web store for a case he calls the BlutO.
See link here.
As for a small bag to carry all of your gTab accessories, I recommend the Targus CityGear bag for 10.2 inch Netbooks. It fits everything nicely. The only negative about this bag for me is that the shoulder strap is not removable.
I almost forgot about the Skinomi Screen Protector. It is fantastic as long as you follow the directions and let the damn thing sit until it's completely dry after you've applied it (like 24 hours if you can handle it) and you will be rewarded with a screen protector that you can barely tell is there.
I would dearly love to get the BlutO but it's my understanding that it stays sold out.
So far I've ordered the dock from merimobiles, $42.75 with coupon code bienvenu
Needed the lan port for work since we can't turn on wireless due to sensitive client files.
Messenger bag from Bensoutlet dot com $7.98 shipped. Got one that looks exactly like this for my netbook from 1saleaday last year for $10 shipped and hope it's the same one, great little sturdy bag.
Lenovo usb keyboard remote w/ trackball, don't know if it'll work w/gtab or not but for $27 I can use it with something else if it doesn't.
Have a neoprene sleeve to put it in until I decide on which screen protector and cover.
Dern, why did I type all of this out? Now I know how much I've spent LOL

But. I picked this up and it looks great:
http://www.amazon.com/Acer-AOD250-1...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1299249594&sr=1-22
Very professional looking and holds the accessories fairly well. There is only the one outside pocket, so things just get thrown in. For under $20 (with amazon prime), who can complain?
I have a Wenger Swiss Army 12" laptop bag that I used for my netbook. Got it at Walmart for under $15. it too has removable strap and a side pocket too.

Belkin is usually a good product. But here's what I use (in neoprene), just bought another two pack in fact:
http://www.meritline.com/flap-laptop-sleeve-neoprene-black---p-36331.aspx
Velcro flap closure, perfectly servicable and I've always been happy with them. Free shipping too, but you have to be sure to select that option. It does take a some time to deliver due to the fact that it ships from China. Also, these are a bit roomier than the usual stretch-to-fit neoprene sleeve. My netbook won't fit in that kind due to the extended battery.
What can I say, we wimmins love a sale ;->
I plan to wait to get my hands on the tablet (fedex will get it here on Thurs) ... play with it long enough to be certain I want to keep it ... and THEN ... shop for stuff. Else, getting rid of the tablet and all those accessories will be an humbling experience.
BTW, my CC. has a program where they will take back a product if the store does not accept it back. I hope I don't resort to it in this case.

does anyone have this case? from what I can tell, the tab goes one side, the keyboard dock the other and it's a hard shell carry case.
however, nowhere to put your cables.
does anyone know of a similar case to this but with an pouch as well for cables? I know it's a TF101 case, b ut considering the prime is a small item it will fit this case easy.
I am looking at this case as well as I read about the reviews on the office transleeve having all the problems with the tablet and the lack of availability online. From the pictures on amazon it seems that its quite thin to carry around. I read a review somewhere maybe from it official website saying that this can carry a dock with the transformer so i assume this is okay.
i have this case! it fits very well and you dont even have to take the prime out of the dock. also, it is a hard case, so it protects much better against falls etc.
on amazon germany it was available immediately

Thanks for the info! just a quick question, since the tablet is very thin and so once you put the prime into the case does it get really fat or huge to hold with one hand?

of course its thicker, its not a neoprene sleeve. but thats why it protects well and you can still easily carry it with one hand! i really like it. didnt expect much for the price and was pleasantly surprised!
i also ordered a 10'' netbook case from case logic to compare, but the prime has too much room in it and its more of a thin neoprene, so its just scratch-protection...
I bought this hard case:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Internal dimensions now that I have it in my hand are:
Case: 26.8cm x 19.1cm x 3-4cm
Prime: 26.3cm x 18.1cm x 2cm
As you can see, it's a pretty close fit in theory. Have to wait 5 days before I get my Prime to confirm it's a good fit.
Alternatives to consider
Hey guys,
just like everyone else, looking for a proper case for my prime
since eventually (in the near future) I plan on getting the Dock, i'm looking for a case/sleeve
- looked at all the cased and couldn't find one I liked
- Finally found a case, but haven't had a chance to try it yet
it's the HP VX403AA / VX404AA it's a mini neoprene sleeve for the HP Mini netbook
- price is 32$ as low as I could find it. pricey but nice
- Has 2 smaller pockets on one side and a big one on the other side
- Plenty of storage to keep the charging cable/charger/micro USB with the tablet wherever you go.
- I'll let you know how it fits as soon as I try it, you can find it in local BestBuy's so if any1 is interested in trying it out before I get to it, by all means post your results.
Thank you,
Rodi

Yes, I received it on Saturday and it was a quick delivery as well. It's originally designed for the BlackBerry playbook and slightly smaller in dimensions in comparison to the 7.7
Some photos soon perhaps...
Another option is PDAIR, they also have pouch type case :

IIRC, their case got some positive reviews before
Here are some photos attached to this post
I ordered a Noreve case for my 7.7, to hold me off while I wait, I picked up a Blackberry Playbook Zip sleeve. It was on clearance at a local store, got it for $10 vs the $40 it originally sold for!
It fits as if it was custom made for the 7.7, it's an absolutely perfect fit and nice quality! Getting this for $10 almost makes me feel like I wasted $100 over at Noreve, lol.

Ive already got this one and it works pretty good. I originally got it for a HTC EVO View, but it works good for my 7.7. I also just ordered this, only $7.45 shipped and the embroidered "Galaxy Tab" logo looks great. It also has a pull tab that lifts the tablet out of the sleeve. I know it will fit with no case on, but Im hoping it will fit with a snap on case I ordered from Brando. Probably wont, but Ill still use it.
PSA: The black Tab sleeve (ET-GTABBSSGSTA) doesn't fit the 7.7. Not wide enough.

I can confirm this. I wrote a short Amazon review so other 7.7 owners will know.
I went for the BlackBerry PlayBook case too - Only £7.50 delivered from Amazon UK.
It is a perfect fit and is made of memory foam. Quality.
Ahhg - it's only £4.41 now! Still - it was good value at £7.50.
Black, Grey, Orange or Sky Blue
Not sure if it's the exact one, there's no label on it and I've thrown away the packaging. But, using a Belkin Kindle case works well for me.

I've also got the Samsung book case, which fits nicely into the Belkin case for some extra protection when it's in my bag.
I got the blackberry one as well today. Is quite nice
Sent from my GT-P6800 using XDA
Nook Color/Tablet sleeves work as well. So you can add those to the list. Accessories are pretty scarce at the moment so I'm reusing my Nook sleeve until my case arrives in the mail.
This is the one I'm using:

Is the Belkin case you're talking about actually for the Kindle Keyboard (3rd generation)? I have a sleeve for my kindle 3 and while I can slide the tab in, the top sticks out a bit. I should see if I can find my old kindle 2 case.

Well to be honest I know nothing about kindles so no idea which is which. The cover I have is pretty much the exact size of the Tab, it fits perfectly.
Actually, just found it on a local Aussie site. It's this one: http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/...78149/belkin-grip-vue-sleeve-for-kindle-black

Thanks for this post. EVO view case fits perfectly
Not to resurrect a somewhat dead n' buried thread, but I'm on the hunt for a sleeve to protect my 7.7 while keeping the OEM bookstyle case always equipped on it.
I'm utterly disappointed at the lack of sleeves specifically designed for this tablet considering its made by Samsung, a top tier mobile computing company. Kind of reminds me why my next PC build will be Intel and not AMD, less third party vendor support - simply better chipsets and mobos. Maybe we should all get Ipads just to get some proper accessory support?
I'm kidding, but suggestions are appreciated. I even checked out amazon uk and can't find anything decent. I'm not too crazy about using a playbook branded sleeve either.

I am currently using this one, pretty good nice. works fine, shipping very fast
Just an FYI, the Blackberry Playbook Leather Sleeve, also works well with the Tab 7.7.
I just got the zeroshock III 8.9 (for netbooks). It fits perfectly for the Prime + dock, still fits pretty good for the Prime itself. It has the best padding of any sleeve I have had my hands on.
I'm not taking credit for finding this... I actually saw it first on YouTube.

That's only b/c you haven't seen these:
http://www.youtube.com/user/GFormLLC
This one works well with just the Prime Tablet and/or dock:
http://g-form.com/product/ipad-extreme-sleeve2/
This one works well with the Prime w/ a case on it (11 inch): <-- what I currently have
http://g-form.com/product/extreme-sleeve-for-laptops/
To each his own, I find the g-form adds too much bulk and the 11" leaves too much room in the sleeve.
But it looks like a good product.
do you think that the Zeroshock III for iPad might fit better? I saw someone's ipad review it looks like it still has some room, but its actually slimer profile with 1", but the for netbook one has 2" thickness which seems be be more than necessary for the prime + dock?

Does it smell like some neoprene sleeves?

I think the ipad and the netbook has the same thickness which is advertised to be 1.5" but actually, when closed, the sleeve comes out to be about 1.25" thick (see photo). The inner dimension of the ipad sleeve is spec'ed as 9.5" by 7.5" and the 8.9 netbook sleeve is spec'ed as 10.5" by 7.5". I have the 8.9 netbook sleeve; (take a look at the photo) there is only about a quarter inch or room left on each side.

I'm not familiar with the neoprene smell but this is not made of neoprene.
I got this one, and love it.
I got this case, which is for a macbook air 11, and I love it. The tfp fits great with the dock attached, which is how I keep it. I got mine from ebay for a bit less than what knomo charges. Worth it though, well made, and super sharp imho.

I've been looking for a Zeroshock that fits my TFP. Where'd you buy yours? Otherwise, do you still have the packaging? If so, what does it list for internal dimensions?
Has anybody seen or tried the Asus VersaSleeve cover?

Civilian Lab Manila 11
This sleeve looks nice and I was thinking of buying it, but not sure if it fits the Transformer Prime with the dock. The outer dimension shows it's 0.6" thick. I'm afraid it might be too tight for the Transformer Prime with dock.

Anybody bought this?

I would like to get this one but can't seem to find a place that would ship to Australia. I like how it can fit the Prime with the dock also.
I picked up this Targus Zamba netbook sleeve today from a small computer shop
