As some of you probably have read that Malata Zpad ships with an official (perfect fit) leather stand/case, i just wanna share that i have purchased it via the chinese ebay here: http: / /item. taobao. com /item. htm? id= 9003689863
Its 50 RMB so in USD its like 7 bucks. But because i don't have a chinese bank account (and many of you probably don't either) i have to go through a 3rd party (known as a taobao agent - google how to buy from taobao) to get this. It significantly jacks up the prices to about 20 USD. But its still cheaper than the ones unofficial leather cases you see on dhgate and alibaba.
My apologies if this has been posted before (though there are no similar posts showing up).

What I don't like is that it doesn't look like it has a hole for the dock, and you can't get to SD and Full USB without taking off the whole cover.
Anyone have this? Can you confirm?

I think my Zpad is already coming with one of these and the dock.
Might cut a hole in the bottom and get my wife to sew it neatly so that I can use it with the dock.

If they tell you, will be come with all of them.
because now the standard Zpad not includ one DOCK.

Even if it had an opening for the dock, I seriously doubt it could be docked while in the case. The case would simply make it too thick to allow it to dock.
As for the USB and SDcard access... I don't think it that big of a deal for day to day use. You could always cut the case on that side to allow access if you REALLY REALLY wanted it that bad.

I've seen other covers for it with holes for the docking port. So maybe it will work with the cover on, will have to try it out and see.
It is a nice looking case -- but I've already ordered a Kindle DX case based on other recommendations...
If it doesn't fit properly though, I'll definitely consider this one...

Ok so I took the plunge and ordered a "G" to replace my iPad... I know I'll be needing a SD card (obviously) and am wondering what brand and class the majority of you use. I'll be using mine for storing videos and music... possibly running a few apps off too. Anyone have any really cool cases they have found and would like to suggest? I would recommend going to a craft store and getting a dish stand. I got a wooden one that folds and it workz great for holding the tablet. Plus it under 9 dollars
Great list, I appreciate it... have any of you used that keyboard case? How is it on the battery? I would think that it would really shorten its life, but then again I know bluetoon really hits the iPads and my current android phone too. So maybe this would be better. What are your thoughts?

I have everything on the list I provided except for the Malata case. This usb keyboard case does the job. When you get it you may have to move the left tab down or remove it completely as it may block access to the usb port on your gTab. Some users have said that if you tell the seller you need the one for the gTab they may send you a case that already has the left tab moved down.
With that said, these cases shouts "CHEAP". It is made of shiny plastic pleather. The keyboard is also not coated with silicone so it can rub against the screen of your gTab and damage it. Finally, the case doesn't feel secure. It feels like the tablet is moving around a lot. Some users have added velcro to their gTabs and the case to hold it more securely. It does come in handy when you need to type a lot. It doesn't seem to draw the battery much at all.
As for wireless keyboards, some users have had success with wireless bluetooth and usb keyboards especially the ones that use a dongle plugged into the usb port.

That first one is an IPS screen - 1024x768, so not the same size. The other one might fit, however.
I'm already working on getting one of these here to see if they fit! If so, expect a full review and for me to look to start carrying these as well. (M2 maybe?)

I have white one on my hand. The smell is because the surface of PU paint.
If you do not put your nose close to the CASE, you will not smell.
However, it is really smell.

Looking forward to your review. Where can we buy these at since your initial impression is "pleasantly surprised"?
AFAK Zpad T8 and T2 (GTab) have the same size. At least this is what I have seen in their respective web pages thec spec. If this is OK, I understand that Gtab will fit well in T8 case.
Could some one please confirm this. I do not live in USA so I cant buy from it2steve warehouse and have to buy directly from taobao

Well thats what I just did and there isn't any to be found, and I can confirm that non ever existed (on ebay or amazon) beside pyro's (which I have linked).
For some strange reason these clip cases is still off ebay the only way to get one is to just order it from Steve or get it from source (Aliexpress / DHgate) when he is OOS.

I found this on amazon. Thought maybe some might be interested. It's a cheap alternative and I've already placed my order for it. 9.58 isn't alot to spend and that's all i figured I'd lose. I ordered the brown one but there's a black one too. Might be a cheaper alternative to the tuf-luv case since some were worried about the bulk. I'll update this once I receive it and give you some pics.
Since it won't allow me to url tags or give out the url, search for Navitech + Asus and you should see what I'm talking about.

This looks JUST like the Elsse Premium Synthetic Leather Case (there's a thread about this elsewhere in this sub forum). They were having a discussion there about whether or not the case would work with the dock as well, and I guess the answer would be yes, if you unfasten the velcro?

Yeah...that's what I was talking about...apparently they must have had a huge messup with the price because I got one yesterday for 4.99 + 4.49 shipping....they've sent it and it looks like it's coming from the UK...anyhow...the 4.99 are gone and they've got only the 19.99 left. I'll give a review once I get the case...even if you undo the velcro, you can still to a material store (joanne fabrics, etc.) and get a longer velcro strap to hold it together. Thanks!

roocase does not do the samee thing at all; this has a case for the tablet, then also for the docking port and then they finally work together somehow.

Looks like the reviewer may have a legit point. If you look at the sideways pictures, you can tell the tablet is not docked. The tablet hangs over the edge of the dock by almost an inch. Anybody who has the tablet with the dock knows that when it is closed, there is almost no overhang. I know I won't be buying it.
With that said, if anyone knows of a better case. Even one that would store the dock and tablet separately, I'd like to know about it.

If you're interested in a sleeve case, I recommend this one:

It has two zippered pockets, handles, a removable shoulder strap, and pockets on the front and back,
and it fits the Transformer and keyboard dock (separately) perfectly.
The handles can be slipped into the pockets, but that adds "bumps" that I didn't like.
I wanted the thinnest possible case, so I cut off the the handles and the triangular clips for the shoulder strap.
I think this is one of the best solutions for carrying the tablet and keyboard separately.

FWIW - I grabbed one from best buy for an HP Mini 10 and it works perfectly. Fits very snug with the dock, and i feel safe carrying the tab around in it. Also has a zip pouch for a cleaning cloth, HDMI adapter, headphones, and other small items.
Was about $25 iirc... so a little bit more than what you're looking at here.

I have the exact same one, mines black and kinda has a 3D cube kinda pattern on the front. Anyways, I'm an employee, so mine only set me back $7. BBY employee discount is changing though, so that won't be the case in the future.
Anyways, case fits great, holds tab or tab+keyboard excellently.

Are you guys taking about a case or a carrying bag? Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the OP is talking about a folio type case for both the tablet and dock - kind of like this Tuff-Luv combo case.

The Tuff-Luv's are very nice and well made but also pricy. This might be a good folio alternative for cheaper one.

A lot of people say they found the case too heavy. What did you think?
I have to apologize, this case is the Portfolio case not the 360. I looked it up on my original order.
I thought it was a really nice case, and not too heavy. The additional stuff on the 360 is the reason I bought the lighter weight one than the fancy one.
It does allow you to put the pad in several different positions. You can set it for typing or watching movies, and it works fine in portrait or landscape.
