Hello guys, I wanted to start a collection of bootscreens for Wildfire!
Guide on how to make/use custom boot-screens by melvinchng.
Also a quick guide on how to use these bootscreens in post #3.

Earth Latest Screen (still tweaking on this one)
This is a Bootscreen I did for my buddy daddyspud's Ds ROM
Google bootscreen loader created by djdevine2
This current screen is a first of many that I want to give out to the community.
Lets fire up the phone!
Aurora streak
Here are the N1 style bootscreens
_____
Download both N1 screens and additional files here
N1 CyanogenMod Bootscreens
_____
Please let me know what you think of the screens that I upload. Also all suggestions are welcome!
The animated previews you see on this page are low quality animated gif images which are set to loop through the whole sequence, the final files that you get will have good quality animations with proper loops.
Hope you find these useful.
So here is a video of a few select bootscreens. Just wanted something better than the Gif's above, (still not that great) all these look even better on the phone.
How to use these Bootscreens.
First off this is a basic guide, if there are easier/better/correct methods, please do let me know
Please read the full guide before starting.
Theory: So once you have the bootscreen.zip downloaded, you need to send it to your phone's internal memory in a particular location. Generally this location is data/local, but depending on your current ROM the location may differ.
Things required:
Rooted phone
Root explorer (or any similar app that gives you access to edit the internal memory eg: super manager)
Procedure:
Copy the downloaded bootscreen.zip file to your sd-card.
Open root explorer (or anything similar).
(backup) Just in case anything goes wrong or if you want to keep a copy of the original boot animation, copy to bootanimation.zip file you find in data/local directory to your sd-card.
Long press the bootscreen.zip file that you downloaded and copy it. (in root explorer long press open context menu, may change depending on your app)
Navigate to data/local on your phone's internal memory and paste the file. Accept the prompt about replacing the file that already exists.
You're done!
Reboot and enjoy.
Note: If the bootscreen.zip file is not found under data/local run a search through the app or on the ROM zip package that you have installed to get the location.
For those of you running CyanogenMod 7, you dont have to replace the original file, placing the bootscreen.zip file under data/local is enough.

Hey I like the N1 animation alot, but it seems to go too fast... if I simply change the 30 fps to say, 20, will that make it slower? and will it take longer to boot because the animation is slower, is there a set amount of times the animations run before you enter the OS itself? Or does the animation run untill the OS loaded up?

Petitdroid resized
Hi there, the petitdroid animation is stretched because the size in "desc.txt" is set to 480x800, it should be 320x480. I had troubles to install ist as a ROM, so I just included the file "bootanimation.zip" which contains the animation itself. It has to be placed into /data/local, root needed.
View attachment bootanimation.zip
Of course I am referring to the thread you just mentioned. However, I can't post to dev forums yet. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705279
I designed a custom boot animation, but I need some help to get it up and running.
Can someone take a look here please: Why is my custom boot animation not working?
Hey guyz i have ported the Modern warfare 3 boot animation avalaible for various smartphones. Now you can have it on your galaxy 5 as well.
How to
1) Download the boot animation from this link (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CT3ND1C8)
2) copy it to your SDCARD root (copy as it is please do not extract)
3) Use root explorer to paste this file in System/media folder (remember to mount as r/w)
4) reboot and enjoy.
I am willing to port many boot animations if my work gets acknowledged so please hit thanks button if u like my workd and do post with any requests of boot animations to be ported.
THANX
You need a custom rom to do this and also need to name it 'bootanimation' and rename the default one 'bootanimationOLD' (or similar) for it to use the custom one?

This is the new cm9 boot animation. Official version is out now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-5Av_EVpyI&feature=player_embedded
Ok the miui version is a bit faster as i had to reduce the length of the animation because the miui boot animation is faster than CyanogenMod......
I take no credit for this i just edited it for Miui users.
Good news I have made a flashable zip..........
Installation
For CyanogenMod users flash the Cm9Bootanimation.zip in recovery
Reboot and enjoy
For miui users just apply the mtz in theme manager
Reboot and enjoy
Credit to sahibunlimited for making it awesome work and PurpleFries for his edited version which i used for the miui version.
And Akilldema for his smooth but small file size which i used for the flashable zip.
Make sure to thank him for his awesome work - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511501

nice animation!
I previously had disabled boot animation under the performance stub in settings. Now, I don't see the 'disable bootanimation' option anymore! Since I'd like to install this bootanimation, how do I re-enable it?

U need to mount /system Rw
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
Use Root Exlorer, press and hold the Zip and select Move.
Go to system/media and paste. then change the permission to rw-r--r-- by pressing and holding the zip file. Easy
And I must say, this animation looks wonderful.

Sorry about that, I don't have enough posts yet to post links. Just add "www(period)" to the beginning of the mediafire line and replace the space before "com" with "."
The same goes for the link for the preview GIF.
Would have responded sooner but work interferes with my free time.

Even easier to install with AOKP
Just figured I would let you know, I'm running the PAC 3.0 ROM and in the AOKP ROM control they give you an option to use a custom boot animation. All you have to do is click that option and choose your zip and you're done!
I wanted to know if anyone here had time or knowledge of how to create a boot animation off of a you tube video.
Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNKFMt2xHVg
Thanks in advance
Sorry no knowledge of how to do this myself. If I remember right you have to have a kernel compatible with custom boot animations. Could be wrong. Anyway pm me your info if u wanna play sometime (pc), I have a 325k dps unbuffed barb.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk. now Free

It's been awhile since I made one but here (updated). I'm on the stock kernel so I can't test it.
Google "How to make bootanimation android" its easy and fun!! This is the link to the tutorial that I used to make them.
Do the search and use the bootanimation in the above link to help you learn by making the proper adjustments you need to get it working properly for you. If you still need help I'll do the best I can.
How to Apply: Go to System/Media/ and paste; set permissions to rw-r--r--
If it doesn't work its one of two things or even both.
One: your kernel doesn't support .zip bootanimation
Two: I made it wrong
If I remember correctly there is an insecure and secure kernel. In order for .zip bootanimations to work you need the insecure kernel.
I'll make this in the qmg format once I learn more about it. In this format it'll play on the stock kernel.
Edit: Let me know how this works. I think I got the QMG format to work. Download here: Diablo3
It's a zip file just extract then place the two files on phone copy n paste in system/media set permission rw-r--r--
Edit2: I made edits after the first bootanimation; if you downloaded it just delete it and dl under updated. This one should work and look better
Good Luck!!!
The stock kernel uses special Samsung .qmg files for the boot and shutdown animations. Luckily, Samsung did release a theming tool for old feature phones that can be re-purposed to make these files. Unfortunately, it a bit of a tedious and cumbersome process. Regardless, it does work and you can convert .zip boot animations to .qmg once you get the hang of it.
Here is the link to the tutorial on how to use the Samsung theme creator to make .qmg files for the boot animation. It is in the Galaxy S Advance section but it worked perfectly on my S4.
ALRIGHT!! No feed back. No problems
