What’s the best calculator for NC? - Nook Color Themes and Apps

Any advice? Thank you.
Sent from my LogicPD Zoom2 using Tapatalk

RealCalc from the app market is amazing. It was on my phone, dont see why it wouldnt be even better on a larger device.

I really like the TI clones (TI-83/85/86), although they are overkill for many uses.
They are a bit cramped on a phone, though, so I'd really like to run them on my NC. However they won't run on the default 2.1 OS; they require Froyo.

The TI calcs look and work great on nookie froyo... fyi

HandyCalc by far is the most capable, easiest to use. Does graphing, multi-variable calculus, and on top of that, you can do currency conversions in it that are calculated using live and daily updated conversion rates.

Yes handycalc is also a very good one! I love the fact that it graphs, I just wish it had graphing lines, or grid lines if thats what you call them.

Droid48 all the way.

TI-86 on Froyo Nook.

I'm looking for a simple calculator with better interface, handycalc or some others don't fit well with bigger screen, they are best for phones.

Windows Compact 7 on Gen8 Devices?

Hey,
I just see "Windows Compact 7" at the net

Thats it, cool, isn't it?
It has ARM support, so i thought we could try it
I read at Microsoft Page that everybody is allowed to develop his own version of Windows Compact 7 (Open-Source)
It has even Usb-Host support!
You can read it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsembedded/de-de/products/windowsce/compact7.mspx
I can't do this, i dont be a developer, but i just want to know how you guys thinking about this and maybe a developer could take a look at this..
Greetings,
Lennb
I'm sure this all can be replicated in a home replacement app.

That wasnt my question
I know that this design can be maked in an Launcher but the other features of Windows Compact 7 does look too
What do you want/need from that? (it's not compatible with Windows desktop apps, none of the windows apps could work)

I know, but maybe in the future there's an app market for that
Its a pretty young project, but it got my heart
Joking^^ But its very pretty and Microsoft made (nearly) just good OS's
Edit: Apparently theres an "App Market/Store" (Look at the Picture i've posted)
I started playing with this a few weeks ago. Put together an initial test NK.bin using the SDK for a cortex A8, but could not find anyway to get the archos SDE to boot the nk.bin. if someone knows how to do this I would love to play with this a little more, unfortunately I know a lot about windowsce software, but very little about boot loaders.

Flippable agenda?

I'm looking for an agenda with flippable pages, like the one of ipad. Does such a thing exist for our tabs?
Try the pro version of the Wizz widget from the Market.
I meant something eye candy, with flippable pages like a real book. Like the ipad one

Can you be more specific? I believe most of the colors are customizable other than the tabs and some of the buttons.

[WatchFace] TrombT1 - a very nice watchface i made (FREE only here on XDA)

Hi guys, recently i had some time to learn some Java, and since there was not any watchface i liked in particular i decided to make one by myself.
SCREENSHOTS BELOW
APK ATTACHED TO POST, SEE BOTTOM
My objective was to make a watchface as realistic as possible, and i achieved this with reflections based on hand movement, realistic minutes and seconds hands that smoothly move following force law and high res textures.
Even if it looks an heavy computing app it is butter smooth in my G Watch R and cpu isn't much stressed.
It is the closest to real smartwatch i've seen.
I'm giving this to you hoping you all like it, if you want you can help me keeping up with this just by downloading and rating the free app, which is the same as the paid one except for advanced effects like reflections and force based hands movement:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wear.trombettonj.trombt1steelfree
And here is the paid app, with the lowest possible price i could set in play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wear.trombettonj.trombt1steel

Never mind. I have located a bunch of watch faces online. But what I meant by "realistic looking date" is the small glass bubble located on real watches to magnify the date number (like on a Rolex or a Panerai). Thanks anyway.
Thanks for giving the XDA community exclusive free access. Its pretty cool of you
Also, this is completely unrelated to the topic... But could you make a digital watchface? That would be awesome! I can't find any digital watchface that I like.

What do you want to see made first? A package installer or an app launcher?

Poll is at the top of the thread. I've looked at the UWP classes and realised that these two projects are possible. I'm not sure which one I'd like to start first though so I'm leaving it up to you guys to decide. Do you want to see a package installer or app launcher for Windows 10 Mobile first?
P.S. After the app launcher is made, maybe we could replace the start screen completely?
(They will work on Desktops too but these projects make more sense being for phones only).
Poll has been added now. Sorry, forgot to add it earlier. Now you can vote!

Background tasks are still super limited though. Even with restricted/special capabilities being used. Sorry it just wouldn't be as good as the one on Android :'(
Well the majority voted for an app launcher so that's what I'm going to do. I'm also working on an app store if you haven't seen it already: https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/creating-party-windows-10-store-t3640719
It's pretty much your standard home screen. Nothing super revolutionary, well not yet anyway...

Until Windows 10 Mobile gets cracked open completely, those apps aren't going to be made any time soon.
I actually got it to work!
Here is a GIF of the app launcher in action: https://i.imgur.com/wOEckrK.gifv
Well I've basically finished the App Launcher. (Link to thread about it is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/wi...d-games/uwp-app-launcher-source-code-t3667562).
Next up is the package installer

I'm fine with Emui, but the widget are so... big, I guess by increasing DPI they would looks better.
Can you explain please?

The huge widgets are one of my biggest issues with Emui. The huge icons I can live with, but the widgets are downright horrible, and are forcing me to use a different launcher.
I hope it's a bug (and therefore can get fixed) and not intended behaviour.

I'm using the Microsoft launcher which I find really good, especially as I'm a heavy user of microsoft apps and services.
You need to install fluid NG though, as default gestures don't work well with other launchers... Provided you use gestures, of course
I like it too, I've used it years a go (Microsoft launcher)
Under Developer Menu there's a voice about
Minimum length doing =423
(Sorry for the translation, I'm with Italian language )
Maybe by reducing it we could obtain smaller widget too?
