[Q] Anyone got Spectral Souls running on their X10? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm about to pull the trigger on this game but wondering if anyone's made the leap yet?
It runs well on the Hero, and the X10's hardware is better than the Hero, so it has to run better if not as well on the x10.

sound like a good plan... oh.. BTW.. i'm playing N.O.V.A on my x10

wow, lol i've got nova, moder combat and brother in arms running on my x10 btw it should work on the x10 since it works on desire

Alright thanks guys, i'll let you know whether I get it running or not. Fingers crossed!

How many FPS are you guys getting on the game considering that the streak is limited to 30fps?
i tried FF8 plays good but the squall was running it seemed like he was actually walking lol. but on the world map it kept getting stuck
and there was also the sound issue damnit and when changing screens from one room to another there wasa vertical line on the rightside. jus 1px... anyone else same problem?
thanks

dont gag too much ^^ but i got mine from pirates!! yo-ho!
anyone else with similar issue? i will try ff9.. and 7 tonight
how is sound on all the green games up there?
If there in green it means they play just like they did: ) if there blue it mean they run but might be slow or crap sound, Red just don't work. GREEN I would say run at full 30fps cos its just so good ill up date more tomorrow.

haha this is great!
I've just been playing Colin McRae 2.0 on my Streak. Bananas!
Admittedly it's only JUST playable and you can't use the in car view really but the view showing the bonnet works well enough. Didn't check the framerate (can you?) but i'd estimate maybe 20ish? It responds to input well enough at least. CMR 2.0 used to push the limits of the actual Playstation so it's quite impressive seeing it running on a mobile device
btw screen refresh rate worked best at 30 and scaling set to 2x
looking forward to trying more stuff out with this! My Streak gets better by the day at present!

X10 or Captivate for gaming?

Just wondering what you guys think about how these phones compare for 3d gaming, ie. gameloft games, dungeon defenders, psx emulators?
Im somewhat of a noob on the subject and have an x10, but i can switch it out for free for a captivate. Now that the x10 has dualtouch and a plethora of roms, and seemingly dedicated devs, is there any advantage to the captivate?
How do the processors compare, is the difference in ram noticeable? Has samsung locked the captivates fps, and does that even play a role in 3d gaming? Is there a great advantage with samsungs multitouch over the x10s dualtouch?
I really do love my x10 and dont mind flashing it into oblivion, but if the captivate has alot more power ill go over, if not ill stick with my x10.
Thanks for any input you guys have for me.

Realistic HD Zombie FPS - Aftermath XHD

Ok, so if youve read any of my previous game posts you probably realize that i like first person shooters and that i love zombies.. ive been waiting for a game like this for quite awhile! "Aftermath XHD" is the best zombie game ive played on android and it runs beautifully on the nook. its a bit pricey at $5.99, but well worth it.
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.jakyl.aftermathxhd
More of a 3rd Person Shooter but looks much better than Gun Bros, Minigore or GuerrilaBob. Thanks for the heads up!
Looks sweet, I love zombies.
Are there options to play with a bluetooth controller?
How far have you gotten? I bought this about a week ago, and I love it. But I can't get past Fattie's Ruin. The explosions from the grenades freeze the game.

im on the level right after fatties ruin. everything ran fine for me.. what setup are you using?
edit: it wasnt until i hit a group of 4 or more zombies with a grenade that made it crash.. small groups of 1 or 2 are just fine. anymore than that is askin for a crashin :-(

Scummvm on android

For any people who miss the old pc point and click adventure games like maniac mansion, Monkey Island 1-3, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, King's Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-5,Discworld 1 and 2, Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Broken Sword 1 and 2, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Gobliiins 1-3, The Legend of Kyrandia 1-3 etc.
There is an app that works on android that will let you play these right on your atrix get it here. http://www.scummvm.org/ then go grab the add ons found in the market.
This has been around for awhile but I wasn't sure how many people knew this actually worked on our phones. I've tested a good portion of these and most work. I even had 7th guest running on this at one point!! The only thing that was off slightly was the sound.
And don't forget Full Throttle

Yes! Isn't this awesome?
I'm playing Day of the Tentacle and it's flawless. Our phone is amazing.
Where can i find the games? Just Google it?
Sent from my CHERRYπ-ed Atrix 3G v.06
I have the PC version of the Day of the Tentacle and that's the one I'm using. I'm sure you can find the games in file-sharing networks.
I wish we could get old games like Myst, and Riven to work on this phone! Those games were the ultlimate in stragey/puzzle solving.... highly addicting!

Really excited about this, but stuck. Installed from the website, got the plugin from the market... next?

[Q] Should Get the Xperia U?

Hi i was just wondering somethings about the xperia u before it replaces my wildfire
Here are something i would like to know.
1.Can the xperia u play extremely graphic intensive games such as N.O.V.A 3, FIFA 12, MODERN COMBAT 3,etc and how is the overall experience on playing these games on a small screen?
2.Is the screen size been ever a problem for typing, playing games ,etc (especially for people who got big fingers)?
3. How much can I overclock this phone safely too?
The storage is too low, thats why i wouldnt buy it personally

1. Yes, all of them. It's a freaking duel core processor, don't underestimate it
2.Screen is perfect ! i have big hands (my hight is 1.90 meters).
3.1200mhz would be stable and give decent battery life
In portrait its very small you cant type.
But you can type in landscape with ez.
Screen is small for playing good games..
All of these games you've mentioned runs flawlessly on my XPeria U.
Over all it's a good phone for 230$ budget go get it, It will be getting ICS in this Friday in India/Asia and in Europe next week.
If you think I helped you press thanks button

So do you use the phone in landscape mostly then because of the screen?
Thanks for the quick reply guys i am moving to the xperia u soon (keeping my wildfire tho) hope to see you soon on the xperia u forums
One more Question though the phone has a 3.5" screen the same as the iphone 4s(sorry about mentioning the iphone) but why is it considered small and cramped when the iphone is easy to type with?

How would it bear with the storage though. I'm not denying that it's a good phone but don't all the new GL titles have around a1.5gb download?

get sola bro.... storage is the one thing if u have less u will always be longing for more.... storage is a Pain in the @$$ in U if u consider gaming..... my friend has it...... i have a sola and all of them works well along with a bigger screen......
hit thanx if i helped....
1. i've played both nova 3 and modern combat 3 with XU. true it's not buttery smooth but coming from a less capable phone, the XU offers me more than enough gaming capabilities.
overall experience is what you'd expect from playing games on a phone sorry if that doesn't help much but hey, you've had a droid before, you know how it feels. only this time, boost the framerates higher and the display sharper.
2. for people who got big fingers, I imagine it might be. since I'm not one of them it's not a problem for me, both in landscape or portrait.
3. I can't help you much on that, because personally this phone feels fast enough it doesn't need an overclock. I wouldn't mind if somebody managed to undervolt it though.
as for storage problems, I only have one of those games that requires gigabytes of data installed at a time. Once I've finished them (or got bored), I'll simply delete it and install another. but I do kept a large number of casual, small games like temple run though.
Ok gonna move to xperia dont care about memory right now!
