Problem with brightness - Wildfire Themes and Apps

Hey all...
I installed CM nightly no. 18 and now I got a problem with adjusting screen brightness. I turned auto brightness off and when I adjust it from settings, the screen brightness does not changes.
Can anyone help me plzzz..???

It's probably a Nightlies related thing I presume. I am on #15 and it works here perfectly.

There was a brightness issue with 18, but it was resolved in 19. Im running 19 and its fine

thanks for feedback.
yes, perhaps it is nightly related. i was using nightly 2 previously. re installing it fixed the problem.

In regards to nightly 19, did anyone else have a problem with data connection?

And avoid using the argument that it's different because its name has a "RC" and not a "NIGHTLY", because they are the same thing only with different labels.
In case you intend on talking about something more specific, then it's fine as long as you give this thread a more appropriate title.
Not trying to break any rules or be a s*#t disturber. I have checked the nightly discussion, just didn't see to much for feedback on rc2. Thanks for setting me straight, I'll just keep an eye on nightly. I did think they were a little different as rc1 doesn't have updates thru cmw but the nightly's do?

Yeah, it is true that there is not much feedback on the RC2 release right now.
there are some minor changes specific to CM, but no noticable change from last nightly, btw, bluetooth wakelock seems to be fixed
i think there is not much
Major improvements include:
New baseband support
Better 3G Reception
.35 kernel support (only)
Offline charging
Quicker GPS lock
Smoother Accelerometers
Better 3G signal
Better battery life
CyanogenMod Updates
stuck on lockscreen
m using "CM7 RC2" in LGP500. sometimes it stuck on lockscreen for too long while an incoming call comes. it is ringing and ringing. later appears a msg "in process com.android.phone is not responding". i have to disconnect the battery and reboot the phone.
anyone can tell the solution.

in RC1 we have to flash additional zip files to correcting exposure (and rotation) problem...there's several files in this forum.
how about in RC2, are these problem (exposure and rotation) still exist?
then we have to flash the additional files again?

Vanilla Rootbox V3.9.1 Camera Flash Bug

Hello XDA. This ROM (rootbox 3.9.1) is supposed to be stable, but when I turn on flash or automatic flash and I touch to focus then shoot, the camera app lags and force closes (and doesn't take the picture). This is annoying in so many ways, and makes it virtually impossible for me to take pictures in low light. Please help me address this issue for it is killing me and I don't feel like downloading a whole new ROM, flashing it and reorganizing all my settings all over again just to fix this issue. I also had this issue with CM10.1 (but that was normal, cause it is a nightly).
Anybody else have this issue? And possibly a fix?
Thanks in advance.
Also: inb4 "search the official root box thread". I did, and nobody seems to have this issue.

As far as I know this issue was fixed a couple of days ago in the CM Nightlies so maybe the Vanilla Rootbox base hasn't been updated yet or you aren't using their latest update.

Didn't work. what version of this aosp camera are you using? And with what ROM? I got the latest version. And it still crashes.

Actually I've found a way to bypass this problem. If I turn on the volume key to take pictures function, autofocus with flash on and take the picture with the volume key, it doesn't crash. I guess I'll just have to live with it like this for now, oh well.
OK now how do I close this thread? Or there's no such thing? Can any mod or janitor or whatever help me out here? I'm new here

[Q] Auto rotate won't work?

I recently updated r0m from beans16 to beans17 and completely lost screen rotation function in every app..
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know a quick fix? (I googled it and came up with nothing)
Thanks ahead of time

I had to reflash to get auto rotate working on CleanRom. It wouldnt work to begin with after I made sure all the auto rotation settings were turned on, which I assume you have went thru all the settings and made sure all the auto rotation settings were on, and the advice I got was to reflash. Hopefully reflashing will work on Beans too.

If most people have it working on Beans 17, which I am assuming they do since there haven't been a slew of posts about it in Q&A, then the most likely culprit is something happened when flashing. The usual advice before further troubleshooting it is to reflash the rom, you can dirty flash it and see if that fixes it, and if not then something else may be wrong but thats almost always the first step when most other users have no issues with it.

Cm10.1 screen flicker

I'm running flyhalfs latest cm build and I'm getting screen flicker like crazy. I'm running crpalmers latest kernel and I have tried the stock kernel and it does the same thing. It won't do it for a few hours and then I'll turn my screen on and it will be flickering all around the edges . doesn't matter what brightness. Wondering of anyone has any ideas or if it's just a bug for now. Thanks.

Other people have been reporting the same thing. I think I read someone saying disabling hw overlays in developer options helped. For some reason I'm not having this problem on carbon... Running crpalmers latest

Yea I found that and tried it out didn't seem to make a difference. It's so weird it sometimes it won't flicker at all and then I'll pull my phone out of my pocket and it will be flickering big time for a couple hours and then be gone again.

add script on your build.prop (need root access) ;
hwui.render_dirty_regions=false
if that appeared, then change to :
debug.hwui.render_dirty_regions=false
No need to do that. This thread is from June and crpalmer has worked out the screen a flickering bug about a month or two ago.
And, for the record, the fix is in the current CM 10.2 and 11.0 but not 10.1. If someone is on 10.1, please update!

[Help] Wi-Fi will not turning off

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is correct thread, but I have strange problem with wi-fi. Few days ago I do a clean install of PA 3,99 RC2 but since yesterday I have strange issue because even if wi-fi is switched off in battery usage screen is still visible as active.
If it's important I'm on Googy max kernel.
Any ideas?

In WI-FI options turn off "scan always enabled" or similar.
