is possible to port the arc rom to xperia 10? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

THe sony ericsson xperia arc have a similar hardware to the xperia x10, is there any developers that is trying to port the xperia arc rom gingerbread 2.3 to xperia x10?
thanks.

To my knowledge the arc isnt out yet so ...
But they are porting gingerbread. Its in alpha right now but it is in progress.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

nope, not yet.
you'll have to wait.

the porting of gingerbread is now in beta version and looks quite well, but there are the camera and sensors not implemented. ok i could work without sensors and usb storage which was buggy is availble on reboot in xRecovery. So i just installed the froyo rom, which is very stable evrything except camcorder working and it looks very similar to gingerbread.
Nowdays there are those problems going to be solved (in progress). That means in a week or so we will have a good rom, and i think in two weeks a stable one with everything working.

Once the Arc is released I'm sure some devs will be able to port it over or at least components that could be used on our X10s. I certainly hope they can because that would like getting the update from Sony Ericsson they've neglected to give us all

not giving us official Update, SE follows a strategy to sell new phones, becouse no one would upgrade from X10 to Arc if SE would update the X10 to Gingerbread.
I'm so happy that the xda-devs are doing that great job porting original Android 2.2 and 2.3. And anyway the original rom, not branded by SE is better. It has not so much rubish system apps and saves the ram and the internal storage.
But in the future, when xda-devs have allready made a stable 2.3 rom, they will grab the original from Arc and port it too.

For sure the Arc's ROM will be used to make stable ginger for X10.It will take some time tho, but you can be sure about it

is the cyanogen mod stable/recommendable for xperia mini?

Hello community, this is my first post. I'm no complete noob. I 'm coming from the symbian s60v5 modding community. Now I own an xperia mini and would like to know if the cyanogen mod is stable and recommendable for it.
Btw: Is German supported by the cyanogen mod?
yesterday I test Cynogenmod 7 (CM7) and install it on Xperia Mini Pro but I got some problem such as:
> touchscreen not working
> bootloop (yes, I already clear the cache / data / system in CWF but still-)
so I will say 'no' because its still unstable
most of cyanogenmods have bugs. i have used it in my x10 mini pro. i'd no recomment it because xperia mini have 1ghz processor + 512 mb ram which run hvga screen. you dont need to overclock it. + androjd version is latest. so better stick with stock rom
Thank you. Maybe the Cyanogen 9 will be better. What about the FXP - Project? Any experiences with that? What mod are you using? Or do you use stock rom?
i m using stock and pretty satisfied with it.
FXP is also based on cyanogenmod.
We still have 3 newer firmwares from Sony (4.0.2.A.0.58 , .61 , .62 that not have yet been released worldwide. And in 3 months official Android 4 is coming. Why bother with unofficial ones? What are the benefits ?
On older X10 mini was logical because Sony didn't upgrade past android 2.1.

agreed
and also sony ericssons stock rom is best looking rom in my opinion
Maybe you are right. Sounds all pretty logic. Is it possible to OC the CPU? Is it dangerous?
(I think I need to mod something. I 'm addicted to that. Even Symbian was crap, I could do a lot of modding with it. It was easy and it was fun. I 'm unsure if I would be able to sit on stock and wait for ICS)
What about languages and keyboard that has always been a big problem in symbian modding. How is that here?

yes you can overclock but only in custom rom. thats not dangerous if you know the limits . but right now people are experiencing some problems with custom kernels like screen doesn't responds after flashing a custom kernel. so you better skip it for now.
dont know about what do you meant by keyboard and languages but that's never been a problem to me.

[Q] android 4 on xperia x10 mini

I have a question. Is SE planning release ics for x10 mini? Or it will have Eclair forerver?
Eclair forever, only 2011 devices will get updates to ICS

eclair forevarrrr at least that you use a custom rom.
use a custom rom.
Ics Works well On X10 mini Or Not?
nAa's ICS Works Too Good As Per Many Devs But Hw Acceleration is not there When It's expected to Be Stable....??
It is expected to be stable as soon as nAa posts that the issues are fixed
No ETA's, it will be ready when it's ready.
No way. No ICS. No GB. Only Eclair from SE but everything from xda !
X10 Mini Pro was abandoned by Sony Ericsson a long time ago. This phone was released with Android 1.6,and in 2011 skipping Android 2.0 Sony Ericsson updated us to 2.1.1.Then,SE started to release Xperia ARC,Xperia Play,Xperia Mini and all of the others of the 2011 line.Froyo was skipped. All of them shipped with Gingerbread. Then,ICS came out for them.No ICS for us from Sony Ericsson. There is ICS for us from XDA,I think that Jelly Bean will come too!nobodyAtall along with paul-xxx and some others with many knowledge can do ANYTHING!I believe in them.
So,X10 line (except X10) gets stuck at Eclair.
In order for updating you need to unlock your bootloader (first you have to make sure it's safe to do so,you may lose capability of radio,i mean radio for music and radio for calls!) and then flash E10i_nAa-ics_02.ftf and MiniCM9-3.0.1-robynn.zip and voila!A partially (I use it everyday, even though it's slow as hell ) working ROM on E10i!(I have U20)

[Q] is there any flashable stock firmwares for x10 mini?

i want gingerbread 2.3 sony stock rom , is there any flashable zip files for it ? or atleast i want the stock firmware download link? can someone plzzzz giv me that
All 2010 devices from sony ( x10, x8, x10 mini, x10 mini pro and whatever i forgot to mention ) have been given an update to Android 2.1 (Eclair) and that's it.
There is no Stock Rom for our devices from there on, so no Froyo or Gingerbread. The reason this site exists is to allow us to bypass the limitations set by the hardware manufacturers and run software beyond what they give us.
So, if you want Froyo or Gingerbread.. run a custom rom, you can find many of them in the development section of this forum. If you want Gingerbread or ICS stock.. buy a newer device from Sony

Just in case you're not aware of it, your phone needs an unlocked bootloader to do that, pay very close attention to see if your simlock-certificate is supported, otherwise you will lose the capability to use it as a phone.
Kernel: nAa kernel for gingerbread
Rom:MiniCM7-2.2.0
Sony style: Sony Ericsson Stock Mod
Have fun with it

Optimized ICS Rom for Mini Pro with Sony Stock look ?

So there are plenty of great ROMS out there that are ICS optimized with this and that but they are always themed a way or another. I'm searching for a full Sony Ericsson stock look (yes, that includes the notification bar !).
I'm a stock guy and I don't care if it's HTC, Motorola, Miui or CyanogenMod, I always use the roms with their stock look when I can. In fact, I always thought that devs should always release their Roms with a stock look and make the themes an extra (through zip or aroma option). You know what they say about tastes...
So is there a rom out there for the Mini Pro based on an official Sony release with a stock look ?
Thanks !
this might be what you are looking for.

Looks nice but the accelerometer is not working in there...
Is there a way to flash the Xperia framework on some of the themed roms ?

[Request] Port CM7 to Xperia U

First of all, I'm not sure which is the correct forum to make requests.. So excuse me if I'm in the wrong place
Yes, I know GB is really old nowadays, but ICS+ roms leave very few RAM for user, including AOSP.. That's why I stick with original Sony GB ROM (rooted and manually debloated)....
It works perfect for me, but anyways I want more features, more customizations, better performance, etc!
I tried to port official CM7.2 for Xperia Arc to Xperia U (both are ARMv7, hdpi and have GB roms to use as base), but process is too hard for me..
Can anyone do it? I'm pretty sure many people would flash it
its not possible dude! arc s has different partition i think and xperia u has totally different! plus xu is novathor! so not possible! try installing cm9 on xperia u it is fast and stable! u gonna love it!
Already tried, and what you said is true, but free ram is still low for me..
If you know another phone similar to Xperia U to try to port cm7 from, let me know!
