I did a Google and XDA search and only found one other person reporting the same problem I have over on the DroidForums....
I am using ADWEx and the AndroidPhone7 theme. I had to manually assign icons to my dock and the icons are not being used in my app drawer at all. I've double-checked to ensure that "Use Theme Icons" is checked, but no dice.
I've used DarkEdge themes previously and had no issue.
Any ideas?
Doesn't work on my phone either.
The Gingerbread theme works great.

its a brilliant app, however there is one feature i still cannot figure out/dont know if its possible. I like the feature that allows you to place shortcuts in the notification menu. pretty basic. but everytime i do, the ugly ass default icon shows up in the bar, even if i apply a default/custom icon to the app.
does anyone know how to change the notification bar icon for those shortcuts?
What launcher are you using? I'm using launcher pro and have two folder organizer links on my dock, one for my android tools and another for internet stuff. The launcher lets you customize the icons for anything in the dock by long pressing on the icon/app. Give it a try.

Try barcontrol, you're limited to their icons but there a few decent ones.

im actually running bar control, i have been for quite a while, i just really want to be able to set my own icons. i mean folder organizer allows you to associate custom icons to apps, but for some reason it doesnt resize the icons to fit the notification bar
I want a launcher that I can have the option to hide or remove the dock and icons so I can place a widget in that area is there any such option in launcherpro? Or do I have to get something else.

Adw has this option. launcher pro does not.

yes, and ADW Ex has even more customization. definately worth a few dollars
Alright I found the setting
Is there any way to have a shortcut or something that would pull up the app catalog without having the dock?
The only way I could do it was by enabling one icon but that defeats the purpose of me doing this since Im trying not to have any icons on the bottom of the screen where the dock is so I can make my own shortcut with minimalistic text

You should be able to set that as a swype gesture in the adw settings. Or set the home button to open close the app drawer.

Yeah I actually figured out something I was doing wrong in trying to get the look. It wasn't minimalistic text it was actually a dock and with launcher pro i just made some blank icons and set swipe feautures and it came out how I wanted. Thanks

My phone has transparent issues. I'm running superclean 2.6. My icons are transparent but as soon as I set them up on my phone. It doesn't recognize it as transparent you can see the icon background . Even my notification drop down bar isn't transparent either. So I'm not sure if its the phone not detecting transparent or what. Please help.

Gonna need a little more info than that. What Theme are you running. The transparancy is determined by that.
I'm using launcher pro. You know how you can change the bottom dock icons? I've been using same set icons. Droid icons and on my x they were always transparent. Now I set this this phone it shows the icon background.

You mean like the icon background you see in touchwiz app drawer? Never seen that on launcherpro...

Yea. I'm not sure why my icon docks wont recognize it as transparent. I can see the icon I set up including the background black color. Wish I could link a pic.

I am not sure if this existed before root and p-rom, but wanted to ask. If I view a new text msg through the notification window (actually click on it and open messaging) it doesn't clear the red bubble on the messaging icon on the dock. Is this normal?
On gblur 4.5 with launcher pro.

With LP+ that happened to me all the time.
Lately Ive been using ADW EX and it has an add-on app called 'ADW Notifier' that uses accessibility options to display the "bubble" as you called it. Works much better.
On my iPod Touch 4G, I really like the 'Poof' app available in Cydia. It allows the app icon to disappear from the springboard. You can type the app name in search bar and it appears (You can turn that off too).
Is there any similar app available for Android ? I searched alot but haven't found one.
I am running JellyBean 4.1.2 CM10 tytung's ROM on my HD2.
i'm running cm10.1 with apex launcher. I just hide icons of apps I don't want to show in my app drawer and then use the google search bar at the top of the screen to find hidden apps by typing their name in or saying open "app name".

I tried Apex Launcher, it was slow and consumed more battery than CM10's default launcher Trebuchet. You running it on HD2 ?
Trebuchet is getting a 'hide apps' feature soon too. The maker of Trebuchet posted it on his Google+ page along with a load of other features.

Use 'hide it pro' app from play store to hide anything from your device. It's also available on the ios app store
Sent from my HTC Salsa C510e using xda app-developers app
Installed Hide It Pro but didn't worked for me. Now installed Nova Launcher, and now I am able to hide apps. Plus its very fast and smooth than any other launcher.
Thanks for the help guys.
