Hello,
i tried to buy root explorer / titaniome backup / ADWLauncher EX.
when i press buy a checkup popup pops . i choose the device it tells me :
" this item cannot be installed on your device "
any tips ?

Do you try to install the apps from a website? I read somewhere else it can give this problem.. The solution for these people was to download the apps from the market via their phone.

Don't know never had to use it myself. Guess the number is your carrier. Might be important so I would write is down somewhere. Then emulate some US or European carrier and try again. All at own risk.

i did some googling .. i found out that Market enabler is for countries that google didn't add but my country is added by google which can be found here
any other tips ?

i don't know if it matters but i cant even see it in the market on my phone .. i can only see it using my computer.
Is there a way to download from market, without a googleacc ?
I don't think so unless you try the slide me store which I believe uses paypal not sure

If you use a2.2 rom just look in the wireless settings. If you don't use a 2.2 rom, then flash one, I recommend wolf breaks rom

Hi guys , i just installed cynogenmod & found that many google apps like market arent working correctly . In my case whenever i try to download any thing from market it says that therewas some problem in downloading & nothing seems to happen. I would really like if someone can help me out . Also , i seem to be missing the multiple delete option and themes in messaging app from Samsung. Any way i can use Samsungs messaging & contact list ?????
the sms theme is not "missing", its how the way its is in cm messaging app. no u cannot use messaging app from samsungs rom, it require its own framework, wont work with cm. use other third party messaging app like gosms, handcent or chompsms. those third party messaging app had theme customization till the very font color, not just bubble color like default samsungs messaging.
btw i cant understand why u guys had that many problem with gapps. for me its working flawlessly.
It's because they don't bother to read. Google apps are already in the rom. Market for example is frozen on first start but defrosted when you connect to the internet.
There is always problem with new market application. Better u switch back to older version. I advice version 2.3.4.
(Version 2.3.4 is for Andriod market version and not Gingerbread 2.3.4.)

Dude didnt you read ... I never said that it aint installed ... Its that even after connecting to internet & trying to download it gives me an error that there is some problem with download ... I tried restarting & connecting to internet 5 times but still same ... I even went on android market without the app ... but still the same error is persisting !

i already installed the Cyanogen but when i try to connect my SGA to PC,it doesn't work (it says that my SGA is not recognized) . i'm usually using Samsung Kies to backup and restore my contact list. but now, i can't access it to restore my contact and can't dial any number, just emergency call .

I would say that happened because you flashed gapps. It's not necessary at all to do that. The market works fine from the original zip.

Kies doesn't support CM.. Next time synchronize contacts with GMail or use some other third party app..

You have to convert kies backup contacts into .vcf format and import it to contacts from SD card.Follow this ...

He doesn't. And richorich, I recommend you going back to whatever ROM you had before and wait until the CyanogenMod port gets more stable. This kinda testing's a little bit tough on newbies, so don't stress yourself and trying reading around the forums so you can learn; I recommend you surfing on the Dev Forums. Cheers.

Idle mode ? WiFi going silly as in takes up a lot of battery ? Sorry , I don't get you :/

is there any application that called superuser or supersu ?
On the home screen you will see tools folder, open it then find permission (the icon like paper script) open that then choose manage root permission

I did that but it doesnt work , Also I flashed the superuser in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=997581
It always says superuser deny the apps.
Also regaridng battery I see you mention that it stays for only 5 hours , it stays with me for 20 hours with regular conditions & I am using battery deffender.
If I have any other comments I will mention it but we must root it

This rom is already pre-rooted no need to flash any thing as we generally do in stock roms.......
I think you have flashed some superuser.....so i think you need to re- flash the rom-(***do make a clean rom flash asper rom developer***)
Now after rom instal just instal root explorer......
Now as soon as u open root explorer a menu popup will apear it is just like superuser pop up ...(only the diffrence is this pop up will apear for 20sec...and contains so many warning message all u need to click next every time) (****refer attached images ****)
After this step you can see root folder .....
For every application which asks for root permission. U need to do this .....

Now that weird, I have no issue with su on mine, maybe you should reflash the rom?

I followed what jyeshta001 mentioned and it goes fine with me.
The point now that the screen turnes with some colors ( you can enter VPN and you will see it ). also it is very laggy and it make many restarts. aslo headset problem still exists,the automatic brightness & buttons lighting during press on it.
I have a question abour RAM as most of time it works with 100MB free only ( can we make any thing with that )

Open the build.prop(this file is in system folder) in text editor of root explorer and add following lines at the end of build prop page ...
ro.product.model=GT-N7000
ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
Then save &exit ....after that you should do a reboot.
Now check ur market compatability .... if this is not working then change the model number and manufacture name to some other one..... on above lines....
Give us the feedback if it is not working.....ok

Regarding market also LCD density modder pro willl solve the problem
New problem appears , Viber & Tango are not working after searching I found some body mentioned a problems with mic ( in custom roms)

okay, so did you try that trick, i think after trying you shouldn't have said that, even though what about those who does'nt want to credit there accounts, also ive mentioned about 4.0.4 roms, i know that they won't work on them since they're still on development stage so its better to stay on 2.3.3 for frequent voiper's

I have airtel xstream box (Hybrid box),i deleted the UI apk file com.airtel.tv , if any one has this box then please send/post apk the file.

You can factory reset box by pressing power button on Box while box is starting and selecting factory reset option.
Is it possible to remove subscription check on this device? If yes, Help Please!!!!
It would be awesome if someone post a custom os or hack for subscription check for free apps.

Not very convenient but I have a way to enjoy apps without recharging DTH, Go to settings ---> apps ---> Airtel Xstream ---> Force Stop
Now, press back button and move back to apps list -----> Look for play store and open from the settings, to your surprise play store will open.
Now, search and install ATV Launcher (Or any launcher of your choice) -----> Open ATV Launcher from app store
Voila you can see all apps there and they would open normally.
Actually the check is done by their Launcher so if we could root and delete that launcher and install android tv home ( Google launcher for android Tv), then theoretically that would bypass the subscription check also.
Unfortunately, you have to force stop Airtel Xstream every time till then. Also I would recommend not to upgrade your box as they may fix this vulnerability and use some other method to check for subscription. Till then enjoy!

You saved the day. I even have a long email chain going with Airtel and these guys are continually repeating to recharge. Don't even read what I'm saying in email.
If the subscription is over. .. there is no way to go to settings as well ... Help please!!!!

What do you get when you click on Android Settings?
Do you've this home launcher apk or the airtel tv apk that is available in box. i would like to test that on firestick
