Hi everyone,
I recently receive my new SE X10 mini pro from Vodafone, and I already updated it using PC Companion!
Model: U20i
Version: 2.1-update1
Kernel: 2.6.29
Compilation: 2.0.A.0.504
And now, How can I root him?
I read that we can use z4root and found it in Market, but I did not found that program.
Can someone please help me?
Thanks
It seems that google have removed it from the market. You can find it here instead:

I tried to root just about an hour ago with Z4Mod... it seemed like it worked, superuser installed.... but when I tried to download to titanium backup to make sure busybox was installed it said I did not have root.
Verified this by typing su in terminal emulator as well.
What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!
Also, are there no custom ROMs for this phone?
How can I make it faster?
Is there support for apps 2 SD?
No custom roms yet.
Apps 2 SD is supported.
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Z4Mod says the phone is rooted... superuser installs.
However, I do not have root. Titianium Backup states so, and terminal emulater su does not return a #.
Anything i need to do to make this Z4Mod root my mini pro?

I fixed that by enabling USB debugging in the settingss from the x10. maybe it helps for you too.
Try downloading busybox from titanium backup (click "Problems?")
Sure! I have just rooted using it. Type z4root in the search box here in the forum. Someone put a link to the app. You download it to your computer and then to your phone. Install it and it is ready to root a**!
Hi
I know this sounds noobie but I can't install non-market apps anymore. I tried to install X-recovery today and it keeps saying error parsing file?
Yes I have the unknown sources checked and I'm rooted.
The only thing i did was was SE repair because my SD card failed on me last night. I had app2sd so when it failed my phone went to ****. I'm using another card now.
I'm still on 2.0.A.0.504, so I don't know whats going on.
any ideas?
Thanks
Edit, sorry I posted in the wrong area, should be in X10 mini pro.
To install non-market apps, you have to find the android central sideloader machine program. Search on google for it.
I have rooted my phone using SuperOneClick and I can see the SuperUser app icon in my app drawer. I downloaded Titanium Backup and it prompted me to Allow/ Deny SuperUser Access and of course, I allowed it, but it keeps giving me the same error message below:
"Sorry, I could not acquire root privileges. This application will *not* work! Please verify that your ROM is rooted and includes BusyBox and try again.
I only know that Busybox comes with xRecovery since I have rooted an SE X8 before but I do not know how to install or boot xRecovery in my LG p-690. Is there someone who can help me out on this one?
Thanks in advance.

Hi and thanks in advance for any help...
Well...I'll installed MiniCMSandwich AOSP yesterday and I'm very happy with it so far...but today I tried to update youtube many times and always happens the same error which tells me the app package is not signed correctly and that I should uninstall the version installed first...I looked every where but couldn't find a way to uninstall this apps (and others)...
Another problem I found is that I can take snapshots..I tried with the power button + volumen down but nothing...
BTW my cellphone is a SE Xperia Mini ST15i...
Thank you again
Solved...just have to use ES Explorer rooted and delete youtube.apk from /system/app and restart to finally install youtube v4 from the store...Now I all is cool...just need to solve the problem with the snapshot
