Hi,
Are there any custom ROMs out there that will flash to x10a and not x10i? I use Rogers as my carrier so I need x10a in order to use a 3G connection. Alternatively, if there's a way I can connect to a 3G connection with Rogers on an x10i, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have an X10a and i haven't had any single issue using Claro's HDSPA connection after flashing some "X10i" ROMS....
I have a x10a, and I flashed x10i freeX10 2.2 rom onto my phone. I've never gotten the 3G icon since, only hspa. But as you can see, performance is fine.

The phone is laggy and wifi is unstable too.

Well you should have been aware that it is only a beta rom.
Use SE 2.1 or Z's 2.2 if you want something that is more newbie friendly.
I recently downloaded the Eternity 2 ROM for my x10 and it flashed to x10i. I'm unable to connect to the internet now without Wifi. Any way to get around this? :/

I purchased my p500 in Canada using the default Canadian ROM.
I would like Chinese UI on it (Canadian ROM doesnt come with Chinese language display), and was wondering if I can flash it with HK/Taiwan ROM? I am planning to send it back to Asia as a gift anyways...
Will that work? If so, can someone PLEASE point me to the right direction doing that?
Thanks a million. This is very urgent. I apologize for the trouble.!!!!!!
P.S: It doesnt have to be HK/Taiwan, if there is any custom ROM that supports Chinese UI, I can go with that too.
U colud try a cm7 rom.

oh great!
this is a life-saver!
so once i flash it with cm7, it is a completely "different' ROM - meaning it doesnt matter what region/stock ROM was, originally?
and I still keep all the original baseband / radio band (whatever you call it?)
sorry for being a noob.

Baseband does not Change just by flashing roms if you were on original gingerbread before you have the new baseband or if you were on froyo you have the old one.

Right, ive noticed a few prople have had similar problems but nothing that is the same as what im am experiencing.
basically, about 6 weeks ago i flashed the Alien v4 rom (wanted to retain webtop else i would have chosen cm7). this has worked flawlessy till now. Ive suddenly started having issues with wifi and data connectivity.
When connected to wifi i get internet access for aropund 2>10 minutes. then i lose it, although my phone still says im connected to the network. When i turn off the wifi, i check the wireless setting and it says that mobile networks are not connnected. when this happens, the data icon in the task bar is grey not green, ive noticed i only get a connection when its green.
System version:
4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US
Baseband:
N_01.100.00R
Webtop:
WT-1.2.2-110
Kernel:
[email protected]#3
I had the same problem before, a few months ago. Think it was just an issue with the ROM I was using. Have you tried a different ROM?
Not yet, will be when i get home. I was under the assumption however that alien was the best (webtop rom) in terms of speed and stability
Just backup your ROM in recovery - try out as many ROMs as you'd like to try. You might find one that both resolves your problem and suits you better, and as long as you have that backup you can just jump straight back in where you left off with your current ROM.
I have a backup anyway. Always make one once I know a rpm works after flashing. Been flashing for too long with many a handset to not keep backups. Ive learned the hardway with this haha

I have the latest CM7 with CWM running fine, I am on baseband .71 and I just fixed my Wi-Fi but my signal still remains at zero bars. I've been using my x10 since release date and am no stranger to this but never had this problem persist. Please help me, thank you! Oh I'm in Canada Ontario with Rogers if that helps!
Please reply soon because I need the phone aspect back!
Any tidbit of info helps!
Cheers!

Your on AT&T? We use the same baseband-ish. What do you use? Can someone re-upload the .65 baseband for me? there are no more working links....

As you can see the flag on my profile, I am just a student from Hong Kong studying in the States, so I actually got an X10i, and that I know, means no 3G in NA.
However since the 2.3.3 update all phones use the same baseband (.71), which means if you are on a stock based rom you should not be having problems with GSM radio.
On the FXP rom, HE HAD SAID THAT SOME DEVICES WILL NOT RECEIVE GSM SIGNALS!!! Is that clear enough for you? It's a bug, which of course if you have the ability you could fix it. If you don't, then just flash back to a stock based rom and wait for the next update.
i have a bigger problem now... in a new thread.
I have a problem. I flashed a Huawei Ascend 2 cyangenmod 10.1 rom on my Huawei u8650 and the flash went fine and the rom works perfectly all except the network from T-Mobile is not recognized.I have searched Google and been through numerous forums and threads and have yet to find the same issue or a solution. Most of the solutions ive seen say to switch CDMA Subscription from NV to Ruim/Sim but when i try that i would select Ruim/Sim but it will just switch back to NV without even trying to switch. I really need help. I can make calls but i cant txt or use my mobile data plan and i cant figure out whats wrong. someone please help, i want to keep android 4.2.1 on here but i want the phone to be able to connect to te network too.
Thanks to all those who help, i greatly appreciate it

It would be great if somebody can create a fladhable zip with the latest Baseband Version. I don't know if it's Rom related or Radio - when I quit a call, my cellular connection get lost for a few seconds

Its because our device does not support VoLTE (voice over LTE)yet. so whenever you receive a call, your device jumps from 4G to 3G to make you available for call. Once call is over, it will again switch from 3G to 4G. That's why there is minor connection switch. No need to worry about that.
