I am looking for a smartphone meeting these criteria
- fully hackable (.i.e unloacked bootloader with possibility to install custom rom (.e.g 2.3 even if the official release is not out yet)
- flash 10.1 enabled (if not, flash lite but can flash lite display all flash 10.1 content?)
interested in x10 mini pro mainly because of its price although it looks a bit too compact. Does the x10 mini pro supports these 2 criteria above? and can u load the x10 normal rom onto a x10 mini pro?
If you are looking for a fully hackable device, sonyericsson is not for you (yet).
U should try a htc device mate

Hi all,
I am planning to buy a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini soon which has a Gingerbread installed.... Can anyone tell me if theres an official update for ICS for the same device or any unofficial roms without custom mods?? And one more question, is it possible to disable the corner interface ??

Yes there's an ics update, but ics isn't very good on our devices. Gingerbread is much better, faster, more games are working
You can install custom roms, but only a few for locked bootloader. If you want to install custom roms like cm10 you need to unlock bootloader which voids warranty.
You can just disable it if you install another launcher from playstore/apps, theme section or you root your device, unlock bootloader and install a custom rom :good:
Hello all...i have 2 questions 1.i had an xperia x10 mini pro i root it and i install a custom rom. now i have an xperia x10 mini with stock 2.1.1.c.0.0 i root it but i do not want to install a custom rom...i only want the launcher with the 4 corners in which every corner can take 4 elements i search the site nothing found i rememder that before rooting the x10minipro i use this launcher with the stock launcher as a second option. here is my 2 question i also want to put a boot animation sound and i search a little bit and i found that i have to put a file android_audio.mp3.bak in the system/media folder with the bootanimation or put an .mp3 file and then somehow run a bootsnd.sh file....which is the best way to get a boot animation sound? thanks for the help.
Hi guy...
I am trying to port some custom rom from other device which share similar specification for example, screen res, processor and gpu to X10 Mini Pro
Now my target are some rom from Galaxy Mini or LG Optimus Me by following this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
After I follow every instruction on that tutorial, i can flash the ROM on recovery with no prob, but the phone stuck on nAa kernel screen...
Can anyone guide me on what is required in X10 mini Pro in order for the phone to boot up?
I have try deleting the apps, fonts, framework and media and replacing them from port rom folder as shown on the tutorial...
Are there anything which are specific to X10 Mini Pro that should not be delete?
My current kernel is nAa 14 ...
My base rom would be MiniCM7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
And the rom i am trying to port is LG UI 3.0 (based on CM7) from LG Optimus Me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995399

Shouldn't this thread be in the Q&A section? Not in General.
