Lg Optimus T / One touchscreen bug fixed!!! No more lag!!! - Optimus One, P500, V General

http://tablet-crunch.blogspot.com/2011/01/lg-optimus-t-one-touchscreen-bug-fixed.html
All of that lag when playing games from the touch screen bug is fixed by a new kernal update! Touch screen input should be further improved with gingerbread 2.3, but the main bug with CPU usage spiking to 100% when touching the screen is fixed (down to 15-30% usage now)!!!!
I will be posting a video soon comparing two phones side-by-side. One with the fix and one without.
Now the thread you can find over in the android developers section of this forum, and the reason i'm linking to my blog above is because soon i'll be posting a video there giving a direct comparison between two LG Optimus T phones - one with and one without the fix.

By the way u are usin mik os kernel, giv him credits.say thanks to mikos..

Link to how to flash Kernal?

Im glad that you blogged the touchscreen solution, but i havent seen any reference to mik whatsoever... credit him plz

He's credited in the first sentence:
So a clever user "mik_os" over at the XDA developers forums have gone and fixed that pesky touchscreen bug with the LG Optimus T / One that has been driving everyone crazy.

Which dev(s) (if any) are working on porting the leaked captivate froyo rom?

Hey guys, while I understand that questions don't normally go here, I figured this one was ok because it hasn't really been asked before and it seems like a pretty important question. I was wondering which devs were porting the captivate froyo rom to the vibrant? Unfortuanantly, I can't code, but I'm certainly willing to donate and beta test if someone is up to the job. Fyi, I know this is already posted in q&a , I'll request its deletion.
-thanks, bobofosho123
Eugene373 is working on it. But apparently it suffers the same issues as the i9000 leaks.

I've used it, but the wifi doesn't work, there still isn't a "bug-free" enough version of froyo for the vibrant to justify me flashing it, which I've done in the past only to revert to some other 2.1 rom, all i really want is flash though...I don't care about froyo too much beyond that.
Eugene_373 tweeted he had it running on his and he would have an upload soon.
*Shrug* past that.
All I know is that I'm running Froyo_R3 on my Vibrant, and have yet to really run into any problems besides the fact that randomly the messaging app will open something else random. That got fixed with ChompSMS

And, you have broken GPS and a bunch of other important things
Whats your lin pack + quad scores running that rom?
Thanks
But GPS was always broken in the first place.

Yes but the leaked builds have working gps.....
I thought wifi was still broken on Eugene's latest froyo rom, correct? Last time I flashed the froyo_r3 rom it caused my phone to spazz out and keep cycling through off and the lock screen. Has that been fixed?
GPS is going to be Broken until we get a Leak, it's not like we have source!
Linpack? Quadrant? Sad if you Depend on those score's to consider it Fast
Regarding R3, Key mapping issue & GPS is Broke, that's about it.
Regarding the ATT build, I have it running fine, but why Post it when it has the same issue's as the I9000 but worst! The key mapping could be fixed on the ATT but the ATT kernel has Sounds issue that can't be fixed as it's kernel related..

You guys don’t get it…so maybe we will need to start banning people for breaking the rules. If there is a thread that is posted in the wrong section DO NOT personally attack the OP and start using foul language.
…just report the thread…I will move it.

sorry about posting in the wrong section krook, and thnx for the heads-up, appreciate it man.
Yeah, until we get an official kernel source for the vibrant, porting the captivate 2.2 will still be buggy.

Franko

Not a noob......just not really a kernel person.....I stay on custom roms ....so what is franko ...kernel..why do some many people have it

its the heart of our device....
hes releasing a new heart soon.. u should try that =)
because of franco's fixes, continuous support and maniacal dedication to improvements and tweaks.
just look at its changelog...
also, stop posting a million threads with simple questions... read-up and use the search button.
Essentially what *Franco's Kernel does is gives you great ability to overclock to what? 806? Also give amazing battery life, fixes the touch screen error where your phone kills itself when you touch it (or is that just you? ).
So essentially, IT'S A BEAST.
P.S. *You spelt his name wrong -_-
Thanks ...and yea I plan on flashing it tomorrow when I wake up look at the time well today... I wasnt going to cause some. Guy said it didn't work ..but FK said the Guy was wrong so yea.. sorry if you had to read that .. and I guess ur still reading stop

From My LG Optimus P509 CM7

Let us take some Pressure From Racht.

Hello People, I'm Moon And trough my world of android have i gotten lowend devices for own use. i love them because they're so cheap and still Great.
I have come from the GT540 Optimus to the ZTE blade and now the x8,
(I kept the Blade trough.) I am a big fan of Racht and his sense ports, what i want to ask you people for, since Racht seems to have disappeared should we do what developers and friends of him do. We finish what he started.
Most important is currently The GL Drivers I think, Maybe some RAM Management. The free ram is very low. (about 40\50mb) This causes Rosie to reload after coming from other apps. this would be cool to fix.
I asked XDA MEMBER # Kenia1234 (he ported it to the SGS)
About 3d\open gl and wifi. this was his reply.
however as regards 3D I fixed it using my device's libs under system/lib/egl or under /vendor/lib/egl and of course using a CM7 powered kernel...
as regards the wifi, it's a little bit more complicated...you'd need to have the bins of your device under /system/bin and the firmwares all in order, as the kernel wants to...
hope this was useful!!

I think he needs a little rest...
racht said that he will port HTC kernel and that means fully working Sense rom as soon as he's back.
I don't know where he is or what is he doing, but he's on xda often. (last activity today).
And I think he's getting Xperia Ray - his post here. Also that's the last thing he posted.
Anyway, the man will spoke, and we shoud donate to him a new device if he's selling his one. To continue development. But, we need to wait until the man spokes!!
I appreciate racht so much, and I hope he doesn't forget our X8.
OH.

I See, Thanks for Providing this information to the masses.
The Ray is the best Choice after the Arc, For me, Since i like big screens.
But yes. Lets just hope for the best. the Guy i updated on, (On the op) is doing GB sense too. We should let Racht Rest and hope for the best.
In racht's last Sense Port there is a lot of bugs. I really love that rom but it has a lot of bugs.
I was without SIM Card and in the Notification Bar it was showing that i used %S(something like this) tries for the unlock key and blablabla.
SD Safe to remove bug in ROOT Apps
I tried to connect the phone to my car radio and it doesn't show anything in the phone, only the icon changed to charging, but no led, no popup for connecting, nothing. And the radio does not recognized the phone. (i think it will happen the same in the computer, i think)
3d, wifi, 3G and vibra not working, as it shows on the original topic
So this is what has to be worked on
I cannot help you so much because i'm not a good java developer, i can only understand some parts of the code, but i cannot write it. But if you want a beta tester i'm here to try to find the maximum bugs i can
I will love if someone could continue what Racht did
I am following the news.
As I have said some months ago, X8 is now added to official CM tree, you can see here :
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=shakira
So, I guess thats the end of CM story (even that I prefer tweaks by doixanh).
Sense rom depends on kernel features that do not work on .29 kernels.
See HTC threads, all new roms require .32 or .35 kernels, lets hope X8 will get a new kernel ported.
And thanks again for support

Great to see your alive Racht! And whut o:? does this mean that this rom is a fully working CM7 release like my Blade has?
And Yes, I've heard about the basics of porting sense.
Even trough you would be the best teacher.
Does this mean That Your Leaving the Shakira forums now racht?
wow! is this ROM stable knowing that it came from cyanogen?? please can someone confirm this? it doesn't have any details of its features included on it...

As he wrote, he wouldn't be developing sense on X8. That's bad. Anyone want to take care of this project?
Blagus said that we have to port HTC kernel first, but it's .32 or newer kernel. We have only .29 now. Therefore it follows that we can't have sense on X8 now.

Camera development for X10/ICS

Hi
As this is the Q and A section of the X10 forums I thought this would fit right in!
Since I last installed FeraLab v.20 Final I've more or less cured myself from the flash-fever I had earlier. As a direct consequence of that, my visits to these forums has been quite sporadic to say the least. And now, when I return I find that the camera development for ICS based roms has taken a huge leap forward!
Now 6mpix seem to be functioning as expected and the full 8mpix is more or less fixed, apart from issues with rendering (huge over generalization). Video also seem to be more or less on a highway to becoming fully functional!
Questions:
How did this come about?
Who did what?
Was Sony themselves involved?
How much is left before we have fully functioning camera/video/hotspot features under ICS in our X10?
Might JellyBean even be possible as a direct result of this development?
The questions are many, but these are really interesting times!
+1 on those. We'll wait patiently, hope all the best effort from XDA developers. I don't think any SONY involvement on this kink of custom development, but our support by Donate would be great beneficial..
Cheers

I can answer few question
Sony was not involved in it.
Zdzihu was the one who started it giving giving wvga camera working firstly. Here's the post . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28818020&postcount=1028
he came out of nowhere and posted that lol He always does that and has done in past and hopefully will do in future p
Then championswimmer tried to compile camera and after few tries he was able to get 6 mp camera working.( I guess zdzihu's camera fix helped him)
No one knows how much time will it take for complete working of cm9.( FXP is involved in cm9 so hopefully they will be able to do it)
As for JB AFAIK FXP isnt going to develop cm10 for X10 but someone else might
I guess your doubts have been cleared

New Kernel Development! New features we all would like.

With the release of the bump website imminent many New Kernels are being developed. I just wanted to create a thread where we can focus on Kernel discussion. We can talk about requests and features we want added. We can talk about removal of screen sharpeneing. There is a lot on the Horizon with this phone and I'm super excited for development.
Delete . I posted on the wrong thread.

I'm slightly confused.
Maybe he is saying he misses those and would like a developer to look into adding them back in randomly ?
We are Android, we are diverse !

lol That was great. If anybody spots this thread in the wild and is testing for an aosp Rom. I'd like to ask if they've corrected screen sharpening? It's a pretty annoying feature.
Dunno if it's related to kernels or not, but I'd really like a permanent fix for the voicemail notification issue. I've tried most the solutions floating around here, but nothing seems to stick.
