I tried the MIUI music player...it works fine on my X8, there are a few bugs but it doesn't affect everytime..
To download it jus go to the HTC Wildfire section and use the search option
MIUI is a cool app, but I prefer PowerAMP. Clean and simple.
My Player is Winamp and I am happy with it

i downloded the black mod and extracted the apk but when i go install it i cant any help

yes all of them exactly match the firmware x8
kernel, baseband, build number, all the same ...
even the root was the same way with x8 ...
Different is the walkman player application and beberpa new features (may be different in each country) and a screen lock button,,,
but I feel the firmware is more smooth and waste more memory (I do not know, may be different in each country)
This firmware original firmware from chinese, but there will be any language, because this firmware is already included in all state language pack ...
but unfortunately there is no Croatian language,,,

Now that's just pathetic... SE made my day - they created a "new" phone (which will probably be more expensive) with unlocked N standard (or so I read on some sites), new music app, which in fact is a mere skin for the old one and a new wallpaper... Even the framework seems the same... Geez

installs itself as an update, so it easily can be removed

how to install:

Put the APK on SDCard
set permissions(look at the picture at the botton)
install/copy to system/apps/*

how come this one, when i already installed it in my device, its package name says <com.miui.player.apk>? checked it, and actually uninstalled it using Root Explorer. that's how i found about the package name.

this is not walkman music player from w8, this is just a mod of miui, thats the secret behind apk name when you installed it miui!!
the walkman player of w8 is same as minis just the it looks orange, check out the screenshots in this thread

to install w8 music player backup your SemcMusic.apk just in case, copy the attached files to system/app and set permission to 644 reboot
for some weird reason it will install two players one w8 walkman and two theme miui music player
in widget list you will find two widgets one that works in miui music widget, the w8 walkman widget doesm't seem tobe working
i have extracted this stuff from above post seems like its not the original rom some one has made changes to files in system/app

Dat is for official 2.1 users only... It wont work on gingerbready.... But i need to confirm here, whuever gt the mini pro system dump... Try the SEMCmusic.apk n tell me the results..

The music player from W8 its the same from X8, with a orange skin, and no equalizer.
I want the original from X10, that have a equalizer and its from a 2.3 platform.
I think that once the SE X10 update to Gingerbread is actually live and not just paper-launched, there will be plenty of developers trying to port the newer apps back into custom X8 ROMs to make them look more spiffy and cool. I know that's what I'd do if I were a dev.

I think it can't be ported with any easy way. This app need a special rom and special kernel. Both of them must support drm. We've got kernel - nAa 14 but I think the only rom with drm is SEMC debrand rom.
it willl be hard for it to be ported since it's an app that came from ICS phone. but who knows, someone is very knowledgeable to port it as the best as it can be.
@up There is a gb version of xperia s music, not only ics.

That's not sony's music player, thats a bad themed miui player
I'll say this nice as I said to a identical thread many months ago
For gingerbread apps like xperia keyboard and sony music player NEED without any exception the sony DRM, and you can't just add it to cm7 so just say thx that you have SDE and if you want sony music and kb just use ics/jb, they don't need drm on those(and I'm talking about ics version of the apps not gingerbread)

I have no permission so this thread can be removed at any time.
I have the WalkmanICS for ics and jb.
in ICS works well except that the display does not work.
in JB does not work in the equalizer and display.

Album art isn't loading for me. also no sense me channels as shown in ss, does come up with notification toast saying you can download album art in my music/options but this doesn't seem to exist either.
I can only install the apk SemcMusic as normal?

SemcMusic put the apk in System / Apps gave the permissions and gave the Dalvik cache, installed good, but does not change the background colors in accordance with album art

Widget and player working well you need to have the SDE Anchotjan's Rom., otherwise it will not work as it should be
make the widget like stock one with something like visualization! I have seen it somewhere but I dont remember
