[GUIDE] How to get a HIGH QUADRANT SCORE - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Halo!
Well I had originally started this thread to find a way to increase my quadrant score which was lying in 800's when i was on eclair 2.1, then i had a score around 1.2 K while i was on Froyo Beta 3 by Z. I had read so many posts in which people claimed to have a score of 2.5 K and above!!!
Now that i know how to improve your Quadrant score and make your phone fly, i am editing this post and converting it into a guide which aims to help fellow xperia users to get a high score.
Thanks to my friends here who helped me know the method! Love you
Okay now the introduction has been taken care of, lets start with the work at hand.
Follow these simple steps correctly and then enjoy remarkably high quadrant score.
1) Go to Xrecovery by Z
2) perform a full system wipe
3) delete dalvik cache
4) wipe battery stats
5) install a fresh copy of beta 4 by Z (this can be found here )
6) reboot the system
7) let your device run for about 15 to 20 mins, and reboot your phone a couple of times giving your phone 15 to 20 minutes time before each reboot so that the xperia gets adjusted with the new settings)
8) install gapps
9) install data2sd.zip by Z from here via x recovery
10) reboot
11) let the system get adjusted with data2sd
12) reboot once again
13) wait for some time
14) run quadrant benchmark and see your jaw drop down when you see the score
Additional Tweaks
Usage of d2sd, may lead to some sporadic lags unless you tweek vm heap and sysctl. Both can be adjusted using apps in market. The settings are posted below which should help you to eliminate these lags by a great extent.
1) SYSCTL SETTINGS
With the appropiate settings, this app can improve performance and battery life. What it does is that it modifies certain kernel parameters related to virtual memory management.
As a reference, the settings I used were:
min free kbytes: 16284
dirty ratio: 5
dirty background ratio: 3
vfs cache pressutre: 0
Oom allocating task: Enabled
(credits to burshturs for the settings)
2) VM HEAP SETTINGS
Keep it at 32
3) It is also advisable to clean your cache periodically, one such app which will help you in doing so is cache cleaner NS which can be found in the android marketplace.
4) You can also use apps like "set cpu" which is a paid app and is available in the marketplace. It basically overclocks your processor which makes your device more snappy. But use this app with care. Another alternative is "Overclock Widget" which is free of cost in the android marketplace. It too performs the same Function as SetCPU. But let me warn you before hand, use the over clock apps only for quadrant scores, they heat up your device if you clock it to 1GHz all the time. In additional to heating it will also consume more battery.
5)You can also put your device in aeroplane mode, this helps in getting a better quadrant score only!
ISSUES
The phone will lag a bit in the beginning, but as the day progresses, your phone will run smoother and smoother and then after a day or two you will see that your phone starts flying! You can follow the above listed Tweaks to remove the lags if they persist.
Additional Tips:-
I would recommendyou to use better quality SD cards, preferably class 6 to 10 since they are relatively faster in processing and rallying data to and fro from the SD card thus making your device more responsive and fast.
DISCLAIMER!!! The data2sd.zip is an experimental feature to play around with and is not supported by Z at the moment.
One more thing, Post your scores here and hit the thanks button if this thread helps you out! Please give a good Rating to this thread inorder to keep it alive so that future xperia users can also have a look at it.

try a optimized ROM
u can find a few for SE2.1 under Dev thread

quadrant with my 2.1 with jit and other mods = 850-880 every time. (highest)
quadrant with 2.2.1 ....check the image. (highest).. my lowest was like 1145 or something.
now you have to decide what u want haha.
my suggestions. cross over to 2.2.1. works flawless for me (besides the fact the camcorder isnt yet working on the rom) not a big deal for me.
if ur gonna stay on 2.1 try searching for the build.prop edits thread

I've installed GreenGlow, benchmark is about 1300 and above.

removed...

idk if thats possible.
i saw some threads about making backups using xrecovery and just restoring when u wanna switch being the "closest" to dual booting. takes about 10 minutes each time.

Hey I have now got 2.2. Beta 3but my device is (placed over galaxy s but its below evolution. What should I do now?

How did you get that hight amount upto ~1500? Im laying on 1175, got beta3 using galaxy theme

I have around 2500
Using Freex10 beta4 with data2sd
Data2sd really works it boosted my score to 2500 and it used to be 1500
Got to love that Z guy for making it...

Quadrant max 2622, SQLite 29.12seconds. FreeX10beta4 + data2sd http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900441&page=468. Backup apps with Titanium first, fresh install bets4, note: cannot restore app data, no need to partition SD, make sure you have a gig or 2 free on SD, BE VERY PATIENT while install and first couple reboots. Better quality SD cards recommended, higher class better too.

did it this way...
since u anyways want to try data2sd u wont be able to access the 'current' DATA partition.. so i suggest u just start off with fresh beta4 install...
*** be sure that u r having the latest baseband ***
1) full wipe
2) clean cache
3) clean dalvik-cache
4) install from custom zip -> FreeX10-beta4.zip
5) install from custom zip -> gapps_FreeX10.zip
6) restart/reboot the phone
7) wait for some time to let stuff settle down
8) do 2 or 3 reboots, wait 10-15 mins each time
9) install from custom zip -> FreeX10-data2sd.zip
10) reboot - 1st boot might take some time... even after boot wait for some time (10-15 mins)
thats about it... got it working and getting brilliant quadrant scores (2776)!!!!

Well now my score is above 2.1 K! A reboot helped me out. When I open apps initially the system lags, I guess its because of a slow SD card. When I unlock my screen nothing shows up. After I wait for 5 seconds then i CAn unlock my phone. Any tips?

Installation:
First of all you, you need to format your sdcard for App2SD. You can refer to the partition tutorial found here. The only difference is that you have to format the App2SD partition in ext3 filesystem. If you don't, the rom is not going to work properly (if it boots).
You also need to have xrecovery installed.
For the ones that have 2.0.A.0.504 firmware:
First install this.
For the ones that already have 2.0.2.A.0.24 firmware:
1)Put the IridiumPro.zip in /sdcard
2)Boot into recovery
3)Make a full wipe (factory reset)
4)Choose “install custom zip”, browse in your sdcard and install “Iridium.zip”.
5)After flashing finish, reboot.
First boot will take almost 5 minutes (setting App2SD). Once boot, leave it alone for another 5 minutes! (just to set up things properly!)

Dont quote the whole topic post please .
Look at your cellphone providers website, usually the internet / MMS settings can be found there, and entered manually into the phone, or sent as a configuration message - I entered my settings manually.

Hey D_d
Just posting here to show you the use of your rom, and some info about battery life, internal/apps2sd storage.
The attached picture is a screenshot of my homescreen, using Beautiful Widgets, SwitchPro, built-in folders & built-in wallpaper (alot of nice ones to choose from, thumbs up).
My battery life on this x10 mini pro is approx 16-20hrs of standby + 4 hrs of 'screen on', i.e. using the phone for surfing, mail, facebook, games.
I have enabled Draft-N wireless.
I'm a little curious, i still see increasing use on the internal storage, right now im using 39mb/211,7mb reported by Drive Watch - Is this due to configuration, saved sms/mms and similar things?
The ROM is ultra fast, both JIT & Apps2SD works perfect, and i havnt yet experienced any delays, everything opens instantly.
In Linpack i score the "standard": approx 7.5k MFLOPS.
just wandering do i have to do a full wipe can i not just update it.

Hello Raaert,
I suppose battery performance is similar to a same setup in stock rom. I can go ~48 hours without plug it in but with less use in games and web.
About drivewatch and internal space: drivewatch is not 100% accurate, however it shows quite close to the real space used/not used.
Internal keeps increasing because your applications store some data in /data/data.
I chose, not to implement, data2ext because it made the phone laggy. Now, with only App2SD and dalvik-cache to sd, the phone can ran Iridium even with a class 2 card.
We also save a lot of internal space in this way.
Read the last part of this post (it's about /data/data partition). It may be useful.

Elena17484,
App2SD needs to make specific installation and symlinks and it probably needs full wipe.
However you can try flashing it without full wipe and if this doesn't work for you, then try plan b (full wipe )

- Kernel include in this rom is default CM7 nightly build (OC MAX 1.13 GHz)
- I have no idea on battery life, assuming same on CM7 build,
testing on my n1 (Always on 3G), it gets around 5-6 hrs, to 35% drain battery
- I still not found bug on CAM, Video CAM etc.
- but found a memory leaks when connected to usb for transfer big files.
- I 've correct the date on this thread, ha-ha-ha
How are you getting quadrant scores like that? I'm running the latest CM nightly and I rarely get above 1300

Below is an explanation of "the wonk" provided to me by Redstar, who is a close bud here on XDA and is a kernel developer too that provides great support here.
Per Redstar:
<<Don't know how much you've read about the wonk, so I'll try to briefly explain things...
It has to do with when you answer an incoming call (or make a call) after the phone has been asleep for some time and it either freezes and reboots or you won't be able to hear anything.... We've been able to trace it to a race in the i2c bus so that the a1026 chip isn't getting initialized correctly... what that translates to is that something is keeping the i2c bus busy, and when the voice processor chip tries to start up, it can't... so that's where you get the "wonk" from... >>
Nevermind

are you using quadrant advanced or the new one from the market? ive noticed benchmarks to be 200-300 points lower with the new one from the market. dont know why quadrant advanced benches higher. also, if you have a2sd or data2sd enabled your scores will be lower. changing setcpu scaling to performance while overclocked would help. so would closing all running processes

[KERNEL & ROM] [RAY] Ray / Stock-based: kernel/rom Repack by 4pda.ru team

We are glad to present our kernel and ROM for Xperia Ray (st18i).
Stock-based ROM with cutting all no-necessary software. Kernel assembled from sources with usefull modifications.
ROM is very light-weight but powerful. There are NO any google apps in ROM. This is our rule. You can install it from "standard" GAPPS packadge from CM 7.2 topic.
You may use kernel with our rom or with your own stock-based rom including full stock, with any baseband. (we recommend 58 radio).
Both the kernel and the rom have passed test many weeks before we offer it to you.
ROM features:
- removed bloatware: google apps, SE anonymous statistics, adobe apps, ant+ apps, datamonitor, devicemonitor, facebook apps, timescape and all of their integrations. Thus, you have a lot of space for your programs.
- all other good and useful SE apps are still here: player, gallery, camera (including 3D), FM radio, TrackID, browser, default launcher.
- root and Superuser software are included
- useful switches in notification area, clean and precise battery indicator
ROM downloads:
primary mirror: http://narod.ru/disk/35145199001/ST18i_REPACK4PDA_6.zip.html
secondary mirror: http://www.multiupload.com/VAOQ83X1SX
Kernel features:
- kernel is assembled from SE sources with usefull modifications
- cwm recovery
- light and balanced overclock up to 1.4 GHz (we leave SE frequences grid) (default frequence range: 122 MHz - 1 GHz)
- deep undervolting but working under hard loading
- default and recommended governeur is SmartassV2 (we have been testing power savings for some weeks with many different kernel settings!)
- support for dual channel voice call recording (with CallRecorder software by skvalex)
- as a result, power consuming is just a bit higher in overclocked mode and usually much less than on stock firmware
- guaranted very deep sleep in suspend mode
- very stable work and all-sides-testing
Kernel downloads:
primary mirror: http://narod.ru/disk/36316696001/bootuv5.img.html
secondary mirror: http://www.multiupload.com/UKGMCCMX2C
Installation procedure is usual:
- download rom & kernel
- put rom into sdcard
- you can also put gapps package into sdcard if you want to install Google apps
- reboot your phone to "fastboot mode" (switch off power, press Vol+ button and plug USB cable)
- flash kernel with command 'fastboot flash boot bootuv4.img'
- unplug cable, power on phone, press Vol- when the screen becomes bright for entering to recovery
- select 'backup' option and backup your previous firmware (just for safety reason)
- you DON'T need to clear user data -- wipe is not required!
- select 'install zip', select our rom file, wait for installing firmware
- install gapps package with the same command, if you need it
- select 'reboot'
You get a new rom!
Our plans:
- we are constantly searching for new features to implement into a kernel
- we are testing a kernel with the new approach now, with new compression, with new init.d feature
- stay with us))
I'm considering flashing your ROM, but why wouldn't you let us overclock to 1.9 or 2.0 Ghz and "only" to 1.4 Ghz?
Just flash hartej/DoomLord Kernel if you want to OC higher...

Yeah I have that one flashed already, but I would like to know if this one is "better".
To Aire: What can the kernel of this ROM do more that DoomLord's kernel? In other words, why should I use yours and not DoomLord's?
I am so happy that aire post his great work here!!!!
I am using both kernel and ROM for more than 1 week and I can tell you that is the best in term of stability, speed and battery.
I so frequent checking the 4PDA forum for your work and use Google translate the message. So most of the time is guessing, and now you are here... thank you.. big thank you.

Actually you can just try it out yourself to compare the difference and tell us about your finding.
What I found is without further setting, compare to DoomLord's kernel, the battery life is much better in this kernel.

Great to see new developer joining us..!..Yay..hope to see stock with CM7 features ported....
thanks for your interest, guys!
while we prepared this first post (translate it) for bootuv4, aire has released a new kernel bootuv5. But translated features remained from previous ver. Now I will write up-to-dated features for you.
(so what you read 'in our plans' -- this is not future but presence release features)))
bootuv5 features:
- extremal undervolting at all frequencies
- filesystem support: ext2, ext3, ext4, yaffs2, vfat, ntfs
- overclock up to 1.4 GHz (work range 122 - 1024 GHz)
- init.d support
- default (and recommended!) governor is smartassV2
- ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7
- anonymous services support removed (from kernel)
- fota support removed (from kernel)
- bidirectional calls recording
about 1.4 ghz.. Guys, SE kernel has calculated the manufacturer a grid of frequencies, if we add intermediate frequencies or overclock frequencies in table pll2_tbl (in kernel settings) -- in any case we have increasing a consumption.
We don't know how DoomLord has calculate this expanded table but all our tests says that battery drains more rapidly than on the default table. EVEN IF you will set 'default' 1ghz frequency in overclocked (to 1.8-2 ghz) kernel the consumption will NOT as at SE kernel, SE frequencies grid. The reason consists in it.
In real tasks enough 1.4 ghz, guys! But phone perfectly sleeps)) Any percent doesn't spend for a night. Is this not enough?
About init.d. In last repack4PDA (rom) the training script which is in a folder /etc/init.d is added. It named 'Scpufreq' and consists some commands to init default frequencies range and def. governor. You may try to change it for you taste)) But note that names of your scripts MUST begins from upper-case 'S', and permissions must be as r-xr-xr-x.
We will try to answer your questions, because aire have no time to read this topic.
ps. Don't forget that we tested more than month several kernel assembles and give you checked up Emerald))
Good to see another dev here! I Was using your latest kernel with stock .42 rom from SE for a little week or 2. Worked brilliant. Now I have flashed this rom, the repack4pda .58 version, and I am experiencing severe batterydrain in standby. Overnight I lost 26% when the phone was laying idle on my desk. There were almost nog wakelocks present, phone was awake for 3 times. I had this once before, that was when I flashed the hongkong edition .58 rom posted elsewhere on xda for ray. I think it has something to do with the baseband of this rom.
I found another baseband here on xda (also provided by you, thanks) and flashed that. After the baseband I flashed your kernel. The rom you have made is very fast and sleek, so I hope that this will solve my problem. Otherwise I have to revert to stock .42 again and start deleting bloatware.
See this screenshot of my overnight drain:

didn't try this rom+kernel....yet.
I'm currently on stock rom + doomlord kernel (bloatware removed from ROM).
I notice better battery life (@same clock speeds as stock) after rooting "and" 'battery calibration' app (free from market).
So fully charge the phone, then when still on charger at 100%, press "calibrate".
Hopefully this tool will extend battery life further
Please send you comments/experiences about the battery calibration, I used this tool successfully on my previous samsung apollo.

I have used that tool before. On .42, I managed to last 51 hours with the phone. Now, when my battery reaches 10%, it goes to 1% and the phone shutsdown. I will try to erase batterystats from cwm as soon as my phone is fully charged again. I used to have a Desire HD, I wiped batterystats from cwm there all the time and that worked great.

Question is not for this topic, I think. Recalibrate battery statistics file need if you reflash cyanogen after stock or vice versa. If your rom is stock usually no need battery file deleting.
If your battery drains quick (as it seems to you) at first, once a month it is necessary for us to discharge the battery completely, then charge it _without interruption_. And even allow be at charger 20-30 minutes after 100%. (NOT at all night!) Repeats this twice. After that a new statistics will register to battery file and phone will 'know' it real edges of 0 and 100 percents.
At second, need to see which apps wake phone up. You may install any special app for battery and processes monitoring, e.g. battery mix, and see it statistics after some days for who eat battery)).

DoomLord's approach is probably wrong, but we do not know what exactly is wrong. His overcloclocking method looks like "brute force" leading to higher power consumption no matter how you are using your Ray, even if you are not using it at all.
aire doesn't modify any frequencies tables in source code, just cheat some part of a kernel showing it than it's not a Ray, but Arc S (oh yeah, you don't get an Arc S for free anyway ). So we get frequency range as it designed by SE developers. Than he add some good governers, apply extreme but stable and tested undervolting, and we got that brilliant... oh, sorry... pure emerald[1] kernel.
Combined with clean REPACK4PDA rom, this kernel give you good starting point to set up your SE Xperia Ray (which me personally assume as one of the best smartphone today) to work fast and long.
[1]About "PureEmerald" name, as we call this kernel on 4pda.ru. There is a tale by a greatest russian poet A.S. Pushkin, "A poem about tzar Saltan". This is a small part of this poem translated to english:
Here's a wonder, though, worth telling -
There's a little squirrel dwelling
In a fir tree; all day long,
Cracking nuts, it sings a song.
Nuts - most wondrous to behold!
Every shell is solid gold;
Kernels - each an emerald pure!
That's a wonder, to be sure.
Bluetooth again ..
.. like so often: nice image with cool features - but I don´t get serial ports from the connected bluetooth device on my pc (to sync with myphonexplorer, works good using stock firmware ).
Same issue in CM7: some versions creating these ports, some not. Maybe I have to change some settings on the phone, any ideas ?
I also have tried to install gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip, but the market did not appear in the app list.
But anyway: one day it will work and I say THANK YOU
Is there a way to get the quickpanel in stock firmware, just in case.. I don´t believe it is only the QuickPanelSettings.apk right ?

Flashed just the kernel, the battery life is great and call recording works flawlessly, so.. thanks!
I confirm the battery drain with doomlord kernel is very very very fast, even in flight mode without any activities and default clock of 1 ghz
now I will try your kenel

Hmmm... It should work. The only problem with gapps is the need to reinstall it each time after installing update to repack4pda. But after reinstall everything works fine for me.
Installed v5 kernel (on stock .58 HK ROM, which is manually cleaned from bloat).
Works fast and stable, but no noticeable battery life improvement. Still drains 1% per hour at night, when it is laying on desk idle (Wi-Fi turned off). So no deep sleep I guess..
Battery stat. is showing that 65% is used by "Idle process". Shall I adjust something ?
After installing gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip, you need to manually add a google account under accounts and synchronization. After that, the market is there

Just run it like my other scripts and be sure to have both ProcessList.smali AND ActivityManagerService.smali in the same folder as the script!

July 10, 2012
I found more edits to make the launcher even stronger!
I wasn't able to find a way to prevent other apps from getting ADJ 1 - UNTIL NOW!
When other apps have ADJ 1, along with the launcher, this makes the launcher weaker than it would be on non-ICS/JB ROMS!
Google Account Manager or Location Service, for example, would never have ADJ 1 on GingerBread.
On non-ICS/JB ROMS, the launcher and ONLY the launcher, could have ADJ 1.
===================================================================
And now.... the same can be said for Ice Cream & Jelly Bean!!
 ===================================================================
Obviously, the webapp has not been updated as of yet so stay tuned for that.
For now, the new edits can only be done manually, old school.
I marked the new edits in the tutorial with a -=NEW=- notification!
===================================================================
ICS/Jelly Bean Installation Steps - Easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Run the NEWEST V6 SuperCharger script as always.
Note: You may get Segmentation Fault errors running the V6 SuperCharger script on ICS due to a flakey su (superuser) binary.
To resolve the issue, you can:
A) Go HERE for a fixed su binary. No more fugly segfaults! - Thanks to wraithdu
OR...
B) Go HERE and get the SuperCharger Starter Kit!
2. Patch and install services.jar by whichever method you like best. Your options are:
A) Automagically - Use the latest Update 9 RC* and select ICS Service Centre's Automatic Transmission! (seemless webapp integration and installation to automatically make your launcher Die-Hard!) Actually, when you run V6 Update 9 RC* for the first time, this option will be selected by default... so you really don't have to do ANYTHING...
B) Semi-automatically - Make your launcher Die-Hard with the ICS OOM Priority Charger webapp (latest Update 9 RC* can install and apply permissions via ICS Service Centre's manual mode)
C) Manually - Follow the complete tutorial below or/and use Jelly Scream Smali Patcher script to automate the actual editing!
3.SuperClean & ReStart! (ie. Wipe Dalvik Cache & Reboot)
Notes: For decent launcher detection use at least V6U9 RC6.9 or newer and check the bOOM Stick to see if the launcher the desired ADJ value!
.......... - Boot will take a LONG time as it "optimizes all your apps"
.......... - If it doesn't boot (unlikely if you did the edits yourself), try wiping caches (not data)
.......... - If it still doesn't boot, you can always just re-flash your current untouched rom but do have a backup nevertheless.
.......... - If you get FCs, fixing permissions will solve that. (Use the "Fix Emissions" Option in the latest V6 SuperCharger Script! )
That's It!
========================================================
WebApp Info - Mod your services.jar instantly with the ICS OOM Priority Charger!
Just go to http://android.mimic.ca with your devices browser and follow instructions!
In case of upload problems: If your Android browser closes while selecting file to upload, use Opera Mini web browser because it lets you select a file from within the app. Just copy services.jar to the sdcard first
CWM zip option is available!
But if you don't get the CWM zip, and instead download the modded services.jar, you can:
A) Do Steps 8 to 10 below! But first In Terminal Emulator, just type su and enter, busybox mount -o remount,rw /system and enter (Mount system as read/write).
OR...
B) Use the ICS Service Centre's manual mode in V6U9RC*
Help for webapp: Go to http://webchat.freenode.net , channel #v6_supercharger and talk to blk_jack (or me if I'm there)
Important: The webapp WON'T WORK for ODEX roms! ALL Stock ROMS are ODEX (I think... ) So if you have a services.odex file, you have to do it manually as described below
ODEX UPDATE! - You can now have the process somewhat automated on Windows with a batch script courtesy of rexstor .
..................................... - See [Guide][Batch][Odex Rom only!] To get another 50% v6 Supercharged script for ICS!
Deodex and ODEX Note: You can now use the ICS Service Centre's manual mode in V6U9RC9 for Steps 8 and 9 below!
========================================================
OK I got ICS SuperCharged!!
The problem with SuperCharging ICS is that ICS doesn't read ADJ values from build.prop or local.prop - they are hardcoded into services.jar!
So the script alone can only give you a 50% SuperCharge Level with only the V6 SuperCharger script.
Patching services.jar gives you the other 50% along with a SuperCharged Launcher!
ICS users still have to run the V6 SuperCharger script just like before! Use V6U9 RC6.9 or newer for decent launcher status detection!
Note: Of course, the V6 SuperCharger script is ALL YOU NEED on all previous Android ROMS!
So the mod below is for getting the Launcher at a SuperCharged Priority on ICS!
This is akin to the ADJ entries in build.prop or local.prop on earlier Android ROMS which don't work on ICS.
What gets changed?
I rearranged Priorties on ICS like so:
Code:
System -16 (stock)
Persistent Process -12 (stock)
ForeGround app 0 (stock)
Home Launcher 1 (Die-Hard Launcher) (stock=6)
Perceptible app 2 (stock)
Visible app 3 (stock=1)
Heavyweight app 4 (stock=3)
Previous app 5 (stock=7)
Service 6 (stock=5)
Backup app 7 (stock=4)
Service_b 8 (stock)
Hidden app min 9 (stock)
Hidden app max 15 (stock)
As you can see, there are ALOT more app categories now lol
I also decided to give a new app category a higher priority - Previous Apps.
Users with low ram devices will definitely be pleased with that
I was actually able to load Angry Birds, ran a different app, and went back to Angry Birds and it didn't have to restart.
It's practically unheard of for that game to stay in memory like that on my device
I really don't understand the logic of making Previous apps more killable than some app that you were using awhile ago (ie Service) so I fixed it

So what is Swap?
A swap file allows an operating system to use hard disk space to simulate extra memory. When the system runs low on memory, it swaps a section of RAM that an idle program is using onto the hard disk to free up memory for other programs. Then when you go back to the swapped out program, it changes places with another program in RAM. This causes a large amount of hard disk reading and writing that slows down your computer considerably.
I can say Swap file is like Virtual Memory on your PC.
The Swapper can Work on Many Devices. I tested it on Neo V, Arc S and Samsung Galaxy SII
Just to make sure it supports this kind of Feature. Free to try it, its harmless.
Requirements:

-Terminal Emulator-

or Attached File

4. Open Swapper2 click ON it will show some Fail.
Just wait for few secs or mins and it will continue. If not, Click the ON again.
5. Go to terminal emulator type free and you will see that the "0" has been replaced.

edit: scratch that
Edit: also its reccommened to disable zram while using swap as the 2 conflict. Imo that is a bit of work if you dont have have swap running all the time because everytime before and after games you gotta enable and disable two scripts.

i also noticed this before the update, after installing Google Keep the phone never started again. i'm not sure if Google Keep was the problem.
Edit : i just installed Google Keep after the update and the phone is stuck in boot animation . back to recovery
Update to Prime_KitKat_p700_Gapps_signed_120413_180002
Fix bootup time
Left one launcher Google
Changed the look of many of the system components, frames, transparency, etc.
Gapps are already included in rom also you do not need to install them.
Recommended installation on a purely clean :good:

updated, Google Keep now working, no bootloop . white contacts from Phone/All Contacts fixed
there is a problem with the internet app, the screen is clipping, scrolls with no reason, its unusable. The real problem is when you try cu use IM+ to connect to facebook, because it uses the roms internet app to display the connection page to FB.

Roughly how long is the first boot? I've installed the latest version:- Prime_KitKat_p700_Gapps_signed_120413_180002
But it's been on the boot anim for about half an hour. How long should I wait?
