Hey guys need your help immediately....i used the recent Blackframework-res.apk and tried to install it manually (because Xrecovery is not working) i replaced the file using a script (reframe.sh) and apparently i did not have enough space in the System/framework folder so now i cant get past the Sony ericsson white logo....
Please help me...i dint make a backup of my other files but i made a backup of the original framework in my SD card
Edit: I fixed the problem with Xrecovery, it started working finally....through that i just mounted the system and then used adb shell to push the framework

On your Xperia U you have to delete those files with a root file explorer:
/system/bin/recovery.tar
/system/bin/chargemon
/system/bin/charger
/system/xbin/sh
This is not the most awesome tip on xda, but it may be useful for newbies =)
Want to know how I found that out?
I searched this on google and everybody said that uninstalling clockworkmod is impossible.. THEY WERE WRONG!
On Xperia X8 I had to install XRecovery manually by rooting and CnP-ing files with a root file explorer..
Xperia U CWM installers do the same thing automatically via ADB..
So I thought this: If CnP-ing files installs CWM, then theoretically deleting those files should uninstall CWM..
Then I made a nandroid with CWM (ironically xD), booted to android and deleted those files with Solid Explorer..
Final test: Turned it off, turned it on, pressed volume- continuously and CWM didn't show up, but android booted up with no problems! =D

Don't delete them! Replace them with stock files (On ics you can do that...on jb and other custom roms there is no reason for unistalling it and you can't!) These files are there for a reason!
mm
++
step by step process needed

When you install cwm from atis it will replace some modules (chargemon) which are needed! Try to charge your phone offline when you have it deleted...I doubt it will work

What does atis stand for?
Tried to charge while turned off.. Phone booted to Android automatically and charged.. I'll upload original files for xperia u GB and ICS stock roms as soon as I can!
Thanks for pointing that out.. I didn't realize about that

atis is the user that ported cm9 on locked bootloaders and cwm on lockd bls. Just upload them from ics. Our devices don't have a dedicated recovery partition and that's why those files where used to "pack" cwm!
Sorry for being late.. This is what you have to do to remove recovery ON STOCK ICS
File needed is extracted from 6.1.1.B.1.100, but it may work for other stock ICS compilation
Delete:
/system/bin/recovery.tar
/system/bin/charger
/system/xbin/sh
Download attached file and unzip it. Go into a root file browser (or adb) and replace
/system/bin/chargemon
with the downloaded one!
Procedure FOR STOCK GB is the same as ICS, but using the file attached in THIS post..
File was extracted from stock GB 6.0.B.3.184.. It may work for other GB compilations..
Hi
I have a Prestigio PAP4322 and yesterday i decided to root it.After rooting I deleted the settings.apk (accidentally touched that) and now my phone is kinda useless.I dont have a backup.
I searched for a backup and found one.Extracted the settings.apk but that didnt solve anything since it couldnt be installed.Than i tried to install the rom manager to restore the backup that i found, but my device isnt supported clockworkmod and i cant boot into clockworkmod recovery to restore that backup.
Than i found somoene that told me to put the setting.apk file in the system/app folder and than restart the phone. After restarting the phone,he stuck in the loading screen.Tried a lot of times and he still stuck at loading screen.
So i decided to boot into system recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
And now my phone is unrooted, cant access play store (after selecting to log in with an excisting account the app crashes),settings.apk is still missing and i cant turn on usb debuging(since settings.apk is missing).
Pls help

it's kind of difficult
but, if you can rooted it again, maybe you. can try to push the system.apk to system/app folder again, but don't forget to give the same PERMISSION like the others Apk in that folder, then reboot your phone
if it's still doesn't working, use adb to push the system.apk into system folder

I have a samsung note 3 sprint smn900p
I want to translate the system apks like framework-res.apk and secsettings.apk
then I found one of my friend has a same mobile note 3 sprint already translated and same android version 4.4.2
so I copy all of his files completely ( all system files and system apks ) around 2 GB .
and I make a backup of my system using TWRP recovery .
and now I try to install his framework-res.apk , so I copy it to my sdcard and using rootexplore then change the permissions to R-W-R-R and paste the framework-res.apk file to the system/framework folder and it already replaced the old framework-res.apk with the new framework-res.apk which already translated . but the problem I dont see that the mobile make upgrading for the new apk so I go to the new framework and try to install it from rootexplorer but always get a message app not installed.
I change the mount to RO then RW but nothing change only app not installed.
so how to install the new framework-res.apk ?
my second question, can I make a new rom using my friends complete system files and flash it to my mobile ?
thank you
This "upgrading" on boot only happens if you wipe dalvik cache. Try to flash some other rom here from xda as if you do something wrong then you can brick your device. One possibility is flashing his efs partition to your device. That would probably be a hard brick.
Help please!!!!
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060) running on a CWM Recovery (Philiz).
Earlier in the day I has tried to deodex my /framework and /app using Android Kitchen. However, to replace the deodexed folders I first deleted the /system/framework and /system/app folders from my phone. Upon doing this the phone stopped responding and afterwards is not booting at all.
So I decided to restore a nandroid backup thinking that it would solve the problem but it always finishes with an error
can't mount /system
I don't know what to do. Please help :crying:
