Xfer Media Hub files from Vibrant to. . . . - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok i haven't been over at the Vibrant forums since i got the t-mobile tab and i have a question for all, since the Vibrant has the Media Hub i tried to install the app on my tab but it failed, so i went and set up an account to try something. So after the account was setup i rented a movie and i figured since i downloaded it it would be saved on my Vibrant i tried to look all over the phone for the file but can not find it. So my question is, is there a way to transfer movies downloaded Media Hub ifrom the Vibrant to the external sd card so i can the play it on the tab, or is there a way to install Media Hub on the tab?

ok i was able to download and install the app from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794310
but now it seems that it can not connect, i tried connecting while on running my tab wirelessly via tether through my vibrant and nothing, i have also tried it while running my tab on 3g only and still nothing, this is what i get:
There is no connection currently available. You need to be connected to the internet to view the Media Hub application for the first time. "Retry" "Cancel"
any suggestions?
EDIT: after an endless search i finally found my answer here" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909058&highlight=MediaHub.
installed and works great.

[Q] Problems with ereader and kobos

I tried to use the built in eReader app to buy a book from kobos. I successfully purchased the book on my tablet but when I try to download it, I keep on getting "There was a problem connecting to the server" has anyone else experienced this?
I've only purchased from the Kobo web site, and then download to the Flyer and that worked well.
I tried downloading the EPUB file from their website as well. Failed on my computer, but worked when i downloaded the kobos app for mac and worked fine when i downloaded the kobos android app. Oh well, ill be buying from Google books from now on.

Torrent app that can save to network?

Hi All,
I have aDownloader installed currently, upon trying to save to smb location. (i copy location path from ES file explorer)
I get "location unknown" or something of the sort.
Just trying to make it easy for my wife to be able to choose what she wants to download on my TFP, it downloads to my media centre PC. Then watch it on the home theatre
Thanks guys
I'm not sure if the client Transmission is available for PC but if you download that client and download Remote Transmission for your tablet then you can add torrents and it will download to your PC.

Like ayman07 said, a lot of the PC torrent programs have android remote apps that allow you to control them from the phone or tab. Search the market and see it your bittorrent client has one.
Get the latest utorrent.
Set up the webui by typing a user/pass
log in via https://remote.utorrent.com/ with your user/pass.
Now, download the utorrent remote app.
Add your torrents from your phone/tablet.
You can even transfer the files to your tablet/phone via wifi by clicking the phone icon.
This works the best for me.

This method sounds perfect.
Thank you very much
Well...
It might not be the same thing, but i personally have utorrent set up perfectly at home.
Sooooo i added a watch folder that goes to my dropbox. Now all i do is drop the torrent files in my drop box folder and my utorrent at home will automatically download the file.
No additional programs or settings.
Works for me, might work for others.
Trying out this E4GT...

That works too. I used to do the same thing with a network drive but i didn't think about dropbox. Good call.
I do like to see the progress of the download but that isn't necessary.

I had trouble too at first. For some reason the utorrent client did not update. Make sure you have the latest utorrent client installed.

I just really want to know that it finished, So i have it set up that when the torrent finishes downloading, the torrent file is removed from the dropbox folder.
You can also create folders within that folder, and have the torrent file moved from the main to a "working" folder when it is being worked on and then to a "completed" folder when it is done.
That way you can be sure that the file is being worked on and also when it is completed.
Hope that helps.

Allshare play is the new app i guess.
register your S3 there, then go from your pc to www.allshareplay.com to register your pc. don't use chrome, it's not compatible for some reason, i had to use... IE... yeah
you should now be able to stream between devices
I am havign the Same issue.
I have a Galaxy Tab 7 (original) Galaxy S1 phone, Samasung TV and ReadyNas Media Server. All of them work fine with AllShare apart from the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is as bought no alterations.
A little tut
Hey out there I finally got the allshare play to work after spending most of 2 days pulling my hair I called Samsung
We've got the new Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGS3) so we've tested it on 2 seperate units. Maybe it also works on other models.
I order for allshare to work proberly you need to assure that your pc or SGS3 isnt running any background internet application like downloading torrents, updating Win or other bandwith stuff..
So if you follow theese steps it should work (it worked for me and my wife)
1: Take your SGS3 and goto settings -> programmanager -> press the ALL tab
Now go in to all that have allshare in it. Like "Allshare controller", "Allshare play"... Anything with "allshare" in front press it and then press clear data and/or clear cache.
2. Take your SGS3 and goto settings -> accounts and syncronising -> press the one with your samsung account and press remove account
3. Goto "Allshareplay.com" (on your pc) and log in. Press settings (top right) -> press Registered devices (top left). Remove ALL your registrered devices. LOG OFF and LOG IN again. Goto Registered devices once more and register your pc FIRST!!!!
4. Take your SGS3 and run allshare play. Log in. Register your SGS3 and voila your allshare works :good:
I tried the above but still can't get it work.
I log in on my S3, and I can see registered storage (Dropbox), and 1 registered device (my PC) but shouldn't I also see my mobile phone as a registered device?
Instead, all I have is a constantly spinning circle like it's trying to do something.... ??

i9300 and Drive Link app

I have the i9300 with the Drive Link app from Samsung, it was working ok with 4.1.2 and I was using Sygic as Navigation app. Now with 4.3 and latest update of Drive Link, it's really ****ty, if I open the app without being connected to the car, I can select the navigation app that I want, but the moment I connect it to the car to use the mirrorlink, it changes and the options don't show anymore, and I can't use any app as if they were incompatible or if I didnt have any other installed. I've tried adding shortcuts, still no luck. Also with the contacts is happening, the moment I connect the phone to the car, all of them disappear from the Drive Link app. And also, before, I could connect the phone without opening drive link, but not anymore, is an automatic process, plug in the USB, and the app is started.
Any one has an idea of what to modify in the app? Or where to find an old version? ?
Thanks!
