I've taken all Generic Kits for X10i and converted them for FlashTool.
All Branded Kits will follow in the coming days/weeks (there is 92 of them).
And all X10a kits will also be up in the same timeframe (30 firmwares).
If you're not quite sure what the abbreviated names stands for, then have a look here (some Sony Ericsson abbr. is for whole regions like NCB is for the Nordic countries Denmark, Sweden & Norway)

You will need FlashTool from 0.2.4 and up to use these FlashTool packs.

To use these files in FlashTool you will need to
unpack them to your FlashTool firmwares folder.
The path will look something like this
(the X's represents the version number, which ofcourse differs from each user):
FlashTool_X.X.X.X\firmwares
When you have unpacked the zip file to the
"firmwares" folder in FlashTool you are now ready to flash your X10 in FlashTool.
When you start the program there is a Flash button,
when pressed all firmwares in the "firmwares" folder will be
listed and ready to be flashed.

Yep this is due some disagreements between the governing bodies and Google in this area.
But as they say it comes with Slide Me. And I've also added the Android Maket in a xRecovery package so you'll be able to use market again.

You just gotta long press a picture in Mediascape till a + & - sign appears above and below you finger, then move up or down on the screen.
After tis update,can i go back to custom rom?when i tried the x10a version i can't restore my freex10.so anyone tried it?

yup same problem
restore of freex10b3 doesnt work (i get stuck at boot screen)
fresh install of freex10b3 also doesnt work (no radio n FCs a lot)
So if like that...iam not goin to update....better use freex10.

i wrote this so many times and you guys just don`t read, search, etc...
with this new FW you just CAN`T install anything through xRecovery! period.
so...if you want to install something, get rid of this FW install other, install xRecovery and voilá

Here it is, 2.1.A.0.435 for xRecovery / Flash tool.
This ROM is pre-rooted with JIT v2, Busybox, and xRecovery installed. Everything else is untouched.
Instructions:
Download and extract 2_1_A_0_435.tar here.
Navigate to the folder that was extracted.
Move 2_1_A_0_435_Update.zip to your SD Card and flash with xRecovery.
IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY ON 2.1.A.0.435: Flash the files in Flash_Tool_Firmware with Flash Tool.
Expect a kX10 release soon

To change the firmware to generic (or in theory to any of the firmware listed in post two -although this has been untested at this time - only generic UK has been tested) follow these instructions:
Follow the instructions here to obtain root. If running "adb devices" at the command prompt lists no devices when the phone is actually connected download the USB drivers from here.
Download the attached build.prop file which is for Generic "Customized UK/Black"
OPTIONAL: Using notepad replace 1238-0199 with any of the values from post two (the CDF number) to change to another variant
Push the edited file to your phone's sdcard: "adb push build.prop /sdcard/build.prop"
Then: "adb shell" and type "su", grant the root access on your phone and then "rm /system/build.prop" and "./busybox cp /sdcard/build.prop /system/"
Lastly use the Sony Ericsson Update Service to install the new firmware

So we can use the uk black for our vodafone branded mini pros without problems?
cannot copy modified build.prop
No permission, but i have root permission, my phone is rooted.
build.prop deleted in system folder.
Cannot copy from file explorer on the phone.
adb Shell works, cannot copy from sdcard to system folder.
Any idea?
@x10minipro, apologies I missed a few commands. Follow the last few steps of the guide in post 1!
Caution!
Don't delete build.prop and reboot your x10 mini (pro)!

Tried with all the dk roms from post two, and none of them works, flashing generic UK no matter what digits you change in the build.prop. :/
Hmm thats a shame, I wonder if its anything to do with the following line:
ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R11A
Maybe try changing that line to: ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R1A
It's a long shot but might work

I own a simlock free T-Mobile *dutch* X10i that I debranded to UK Generic firmware with the Flash tool.
Is there any way to debrand to Generic Dutch firmware? I want this because of the Hyves integration on the phone.
I have the firmware files on my PC buth these aren't .sin files.
Any ideas?

I just updated my firmware or the X10i from Netherlands/Vodafone to Netherlands/customized. Or in other words dutch unbranded.
1. Root your X10i/a (See other posts)
2. Download Root Explorer
3. Open Root Explorer and navigate to /SYSTEM
4. Push on white button in the right top corner of Root Explorer (This wil change R/O in R/W).
5. Long Press on the file Default.prop and choose "Open in Text Editor"
6. Change in the folowing lines the XXXX-XXXX (scroll for firm codes):
ro.semc.version.cust=XXXX-XXXX
ro.product.name=x10_XXXX-XXXX
7. Press "Menu" and choose save and exit
8. Reboot your Phone
9. Open PC Companion
10. Choose Support Zone
11. Choose Repair (Your phone will be reset and will update with the newest firmware)
12. When done check your settings in de lock screen (menu-back-back-menu-back-menu-menu-back)

As soon as google accepted the country android 2.1 version for your country, the update will be available. If you have a branded set, it will take a little more longer because the operators(orange, vodafone,t-mobile) tweak there versions and this wil take time (1 or 2 weeks).
Can anyone who's on Nordic Generic give me the number codes they have? Atm I'm on "1232-9897" and I'm not sure if that'll give me the 2.1 update or not.

I just updated my firmware or the X10i from Netherlands/Vodafone to Netherlands/customized. Or in other words dutch unbranded.
1. Root your X10i/a (See other posts)
2. Download Root Explorer
3. Open Root Explorer and navigate to /SYSTEM
4. Push on white button in the right top corner of Root Explorer (This wil change R/O in R/W).
5. Long Press on the file Default.prop and choose "Open in Text Editor"
6. Change in the folowing lines the XXXX-XXXX (scroll for firm codes):
ro.semc.version.cust=XXXX-XXXX
ro.product.name=x10_XXXX-XXXX
7. Press "Menu" and choose save and exit
8. Reboot your Phone
9. Open PC Companion
10. Choose Support Zone
11. Choose Repair (Your phone will be reset and will update with the newest firmware)
12. When done check your settings in de lock screen (menu-back-back-menu-back-menu-menu-back)

Wow, that's awesome! Such an easy way to debrand! And a nice, comprehensive list, too.
Sounds like this could make rooting a lot easier too. Most people struggle with the flashing (a.k.a debranding) part, not so much with the actual rooting (unless they're using the old method). A new method could be this:
1. Go to the Exploid One Click .apk Root thread and download X10Root.apk (currently version 1.0.8).
2. Using whatever firmware you currently have, install the X10Root.apk file. You can copy it to your SD card and use ASTRO file manager, or use "adb install" command, etc.
3. Run the X10Root app. This roots your phone.
4. Install Root Explorer and follow the above directions to debrand your phone to any version you like.
5. Not sure if you need to root again (by repeating steps 2-3). From my experience, it's not necessary.
6. Install necessary root programs and apps like "su", "busybox" and Superuser.apk.

NCB is generic nordic. However after using those codes SEUS didn't offer me the reinstall option..
