I dont know how to solve it, I've checked everything cable with PC and HD2 with cable..it plugged together and I still can sync my outlook..problem just appear when I try to upgrade to new radio?
Any ideas! If this problem can not solved ? it means I can't run android on NAND!!..
I'm using HD2 global and PC windows7!
Thanks and BG!
leave the phone in bootloader (three colour screen) with USb at bottom, click exit on hspl.exe and run hspl again. (dont forget right click and 'run as administrator') if fails again change usb ports (dont touch phone, leave in bootloader) and try again.
oh and when you say ''I have just upgrade my HSPL 1.04 to 2.08'' (no such spl as 1.04), , did you mean 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl? do you know the difference? just saying 2.08 misses out the most important piece of info, and makes a massive difference, on .0000 you cant flash,, on .hspl you can.

That dialog box usually due to bad connection between your phone and PC. Possible solution is to try using different USB port and when run the custom rue, you must as administrator, and don't forget to turn off all Internet, Bluetooth connection and disable your antivirus and firewall.
if still not working, try using win xp ( you can ask your friend who still using it)
Or otherwise you can try using micro sd card method.
But, are u sure you have SPL 2.08. HSPL?
Good luck
thanks man
I have tried many times to up new radio but can not success..!
I'm sure it's 2.08 HSPL..I'm not newbie..because run android from NAND need 2.08 so I must upgrade from 1.42 to 2.08 HSPL..and this is the first time I have trouble with up Rom and radio, last time I always use 1.42 HSPL to up rom and radio without problems. ..but only this time when I try to 2.08 HSPL it did..and I guess problem is win7..last time I used winxp with 1.42 and everything ok..now it's problem with win7..
I have tried all the way you said but still can not....
what's wrong with me?
PS: If I dont upgrade new radio ...my PPC and PC connect via cable ok...I can use internet and sync my outlook mail..it's mean problem is not cable..just something eles but I dont know??

What about trying micro sd card method to flash radio? Have u tried it?

Assuming you have "SPL 2.08 HSPL" installed at your hd2.
To upgrade radio via micro sd method, download radio 2.15.xxx and make sure your downloaded file is not corrupt. Rename it to "leoimg.nbh" (without quote)
Copy it to the root directory of a clean, formatted micro sd.
Now, turn off the phone and insert the micro sd.
Now, press the volume down button and (while keep on pressing) press the power on button. You should go into white screen and follow the on screen instruction carefully. If successful, you remove the battery and put it back again and turn on the phone.
Good luck
Ps. Please be careful with battery capacity at least 50%
yes, sure I'm having 2.08 HSPL..and I know how to flash rom-radio by SD card..Anyway, now I found the problem to flash radio or rom...I must remove my battery for some hours maybe 3 hours..I guess..and try to reflash by SD card with file LEOIMG.nbh on root...and everything goes as normal..I can flash rom or radio by this way..only this way!..but it's very hard..because now when I go into tri-colors bootloader ..white screen appear just a moment and dissaper and replace by tri-colors ..I dont know why..?! If I dont catch it ( white screen ) and missing till tri-colors appear..I can't flash any more..redo everything again..
Now my problem with tri-colors bootloader..I can't flash by PC anymore..because it's always stuck at tri-colors and that's all..Do you know what wrong with my status!?..
Till now I'm scare to try flash rom or radio again..
PS: I tried to flash radio and rom by XP PC..still same win7..till tri-colors and stuck..it seems the problem not by OS..maybe my phone..

I've flashed my TG01 with a regular ROM, everything went normal except it comes to booting part. So my problem is, device is not booting, not charging, and not recognizing by any PC's I've tried. I guess I really messed up this time.
What can I do? In my country TG01 is not officially announced, so the Services I've tried could'nt fix the problem. I'm at my own I think. But with your help I can make this device to return life.
Thanks in advance, I'm really desperate right now...

Don't worry, I've seen the worse and facing worse than yours.
A little read through the forum would have definitely solved your issue. However, I do understand that under such circumstances, you want to get to the solution quick. Here it is:
When you say not charging - can you see RED LED light flash or even appear when you plug to PC -(I think not)?
If your answer is NO, then follow on and try this
There you go, my last bit of help before I loose my TG01 forever!

Explain something. You normally flashed it via tg01_sddl+.exe , bootloader appeared, after few minutes it showed "...succesfully and will be restarted....." and after reset nothing happened ? You still have black screen ? It is strange that charger does not work. Maybe tg01 is still in booting phase but wrong flashing cause it is not able to display even Toshiba logo ? Did You try to remove battery, put it again and plug charging cable to see whether charging is working ? ( Do not press ON button when You put battery back )

The reason, I understood few months back from one of the mates who works in a repair centre (not toshiba):
This is semi-bricked TG01, hence it will show a faint white light when you tilt the phone, but won't show Toshiba logo AND won't charge.
The TG01 looses 'bootloader' and hence forgets to even boot - this occurs in 'fully' bricked TG01. TG01 not charging is a bad sign, especially when you don't even see 'toshiba' screen.
If you see that screen but don't see RED LED (i.e. not charging/ not being recognized) - you can still get it back using 'short pin' or 'unbrick method'
Thank you both for the fast and useful replies.
drupad2drupad,
No, I don't see any light even.
fxdjacentyfxd,
I always use the Short PIN method to flash my device. It's past over one month, maybe I remember it wrong.
BTW, the methods you linked needs to TG01 recognizes by PC, right? But I've tried with two PC's, one uses Win7 and the other one uses XP. Both does not recognize the device.

In normal working tg01 I would afraid to utilize permamently 3-pin method. In my oppinion one should utilize it only with problems with tg01 because this pins are connected somewhere to the hardware. It is very easy to cause electrostatic shock and simply damage whole device. For good cooked roms tg01_sddl+.exe is the best solution because it is none intrusive method. Anyway, Huston we have problem.

You are right, but I tried it almost hundred times, but couldn't managed to flash via tg01_sddl+.exe. So there is only one option to flash my device.

What happened in the past You are not able to utilze tg01_sddl+.exe ? It sounds rather strange for me that in good working tg01 such methods may not work .

I've never managed to run it properly...
What are you suggesting in this situation? Can it be resurrected?

El Diablo - it might be a bad news. If there is no red light on top and the short pin doesn't work - it might be bricked (sorry! )
However - do you see a faint white back light on the screen - tilt your phone side ways and you should see white brightness on screen - if it does this - I think (from what I remember) - you can revive this but it might be the case that your battery is draining now - PLEASE TRY TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY SOMEHOW BECAUSE IF BATTERY DRAINS OUT WHILE TRYING TO FLASH, YOU WILL DEFINITELY BRICK THE PHONE (IF IT IS NOT YET!)
If you don't see this back light and you no red light - it IS bricked. Only option finding the bootloader file - which is DAMN hard to find. When I bricked my first TG01, I never managed to find this file
OR
You might be able to get this working by sending it to a toshiba repair center. I do understand there is none where you live, but sending it by courier might be another option.
I hope you can revive the phone - I feel the pain

yes is 100% bricked! BUT this is 100 % the solution (with tg01.bin file (unzip) bootloaderfile)
2. LCD Display stay black (or verry dim black light) and when plug it in to charge No red LED flash, not possible to RESET OR Hard RESET
= unbrick method= TG Downloader over PC connection with user manual in german (pls translate with google translator for other language) contains: TG01 Downloader TG01 Driver TGTool
and here the needed bin file: tg01.bin file (unzip)

But PC's do not recognize the TG01. I've read the instruction manual, TG01 need to be plugged in a USB port, right? That means the PC MUST recognize the TG01 as I understood.
But, are you saying I can still revive my device?

Does PC "says" something after tg01 usb plugin ? ( any sound , message ).
Frankly speaking I was not able to utilze this method too because my XP detects tg01 in wrong way. I have few sounds and after several seconds device disappears completely from XP. It was even when my tg01 was not "bricked" - from time I bought it. After my first ( and so far last ) "brick" nothing changed - fortunately 3-pin method works . But I have any PC answer . You have not any ?

I did every step you've said, but neither the TGDownloader recognizes the device, so I can't start the update.
you have also to switch on the tg01.
Of course I tried to switch on TG01. But nothing happened.
But I must say that it's like something of device's hardware "shaking". I can feel the squezing in it. Any ideas?
Maybe the battery has not good contact? When you remove the back cover, can you move the batt with your fingers?

Ok. you not see red led or other BUT if your LCD Display stay black (or verry dim black light)
then tg01 is ON
- Was using Free X10 Beta 4, Changed Brightness Settings, Phone crashes
- It will not turn on, but it does vibrate when holding the power on button
- The Phone is recognised by USB and comes up with the Green Light although
does not update in SEUS - "Product Cannot Be Identified" (I've deleted/replaced blob_fs, still same problem)
- Attempted to update firmware with PC Companion, Does not work, "Download Error"
- I've also attempted to installed a generic firmware through Flashtool, whilst it takes a very long time to flash it finishes although phone remains not working after.
What is wrong? I've simply changed brightness settings and it's crashed. Please help me get my phone working, I need it urgently.
This has happened once before although I've been able to reflash the firmware via SEUS although this time it isn't identifying my phone.
How was your battery level?
Ive never heard about this situation in particular but i believe if you search there are threads on unbricking an x10. Take a look around the forums and search unbrick x10 and see what you get.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Battery level was near 100%.
The Search seems to be down, could anyone link me to an unbricking tutorial on here?
Thanks.
Bump..
Unbricking method doesn't work (just flashing via Flashtool with generic firmware). On top of that it takes ages to flash via this method for some reason.
Anyone have any idea what the problem is?? The phone should be working fine, all I did was change the brightness setting and then it crashed.

I can't right now because I closed the Flash Tool although when it gets to flashing System it disconnects and the LED turns red, it then proceeds to saying everything has finished, disconnect phone and turn on.
Is your usb cable okay? maybe the problem is your usb cable. As of right now its IMPOSSIBLE to brick the X10 due to the bootloader not being cracked. The only problem can be your programs, cable, or maybe you dropped your X10 one to many times.
If you do get it sorted, you cant set brightness to auto, will cause a crash. This was highlighted in z's original freex10 thread.

It's not my programs, cables or computer as I've just flashed my friends X10 and it worked perfectly. I've never dropped my phone, It's done this after changing brightness setting on FreeX10 Beta 4.
It's also not the battery as I've tried using a friends battery and still the same problem.

Topa100: Looks like your device is NOT HTC Diamond2 or Topaz (Check WiKi - Check Model Numbers at Intro section)? If SO, you may have to try different ROM, as Photon ROM is for Topaz/HTC Diamond2 devices ONLY.
Let me know if I can help you in any way...
Cheers!!!

I follow the program to recovery the connection but still the same.
Also I appear same problem which stuck at 0% when flash any cooked rom, e.g. Photon ROM 6.5 and TiGeR Light Ver 1.
I also try flashing by using Storage Card by rename the cooked rom (.nbh) file to TOPAIMG.nbh, the result is same stuck on 0%.
I also try Advanced ROM Update Utility for TOUCH DIAMOND2/TOPAZ by Barin and "CustomRUU.exe" but still stuck at 0% and [ERROR 262], but it is success using official update exe (RUU_Topaz_HKCSL_CHT_1.40.832.2_Radio_Sign_Topaz_6 1.25t.25.19_3.44.25.27_Ship.exe).

Hi,
Looks like your device is locked for official rom till now so you are not able to install any custom ROM and it fails. As you did before, please do HARD-SPL again with step by step given in the same thread.
Make Sure you have Internet access on PC
Disable AV software if any
Connect the device to PC - ActiveSync/WMDC
Follow the "Instructions" in the thread. (Use Topaz-HardSPL_V5_09R6_CRT_183HSPL.zip)
PC may install some driver on first reboot of your device.
It should finish the task on your device and it should be ready.
Cheers!!!

By the way, which "RUU_Signed.nbh" should I use? The Hard SPL is an exe. Thank you.

Installed cm via directions. No problems. Decided to try installing a new Android kernel. Flashed via recovery.
Moboot, but couldn't get into any os, not even recovery. Eventually got into Android. Was able after many attempts to get to webos. Decided to try and reinstall cm9 and such. Plugged into computer while in webos to move files over and got a need to format window. Hit yes (i know, I know).
Now can't even get moboot. Decide to Dr it. Gets to 12% and doesn't move. Google it and follow some novaterm/cmd directions.
Now Dr gets to 8% and says unable to reset device. Have a hard time getting into HP recovery (usb symbol). Mostly get an exclamation point in a triangle and the url for Dr.
What r my options, HP warranty? Thx

The cm team can help you on IRC here's info I copied from the cm thread go here and they should get you right http://webchat.freenode.net?channels=cyanogenmod-touchpad
The reason the doctor is failing is because Android messes with your partitions and at 12% the webOS doctor is verifying partitions. Have you attempted ACMEUninstaller? When at the webOS screen go ahead and run ACMEUinstaller. Then if uoi can boot into webOS do the complete wipe to wipe the entire SD section. Then doctor it and then reflash Android with ACMEinstaller2

lucky for us, the TP can never be bricked unless you start to manually edit partition tables (and even then, its fixable with much hair pulling, ive personally troubleshooted this with a friend before )
maybe these threads can help you out:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379579
it really helps to have a grasp on how novaterm works, and ALWAYS ALWAYS re read your commmands to ensure you typed it correctly (upper/lower case espicially ;P)
Thx guys ill look into it, but I'ma be busy so ill have to chk this out tomorrow

There is no recovery from a missing bootie (not that I know of). A missing bootie is like a missing hboot.

yep there is a way, you just havent heard of it (the pre has a way to boot from a corrupted bootie too)...
you can boot directly from the usb into the cpu bypasing bootie (instead of power + vol-up to enter bootie try it with vol-down while connected to a pc , and you will get what i mean..)
work has been done on this but a working product hasnt...
also is the hboot in nand or rom (im gueasing the nand /boot partiton just as with the few android devices i have worked on)

No, the Pre is a completely different device. The Pre has an OMAP3430, while the TouchPad has your typical (non-USB bootable) Qualcomm processor.
And hboot is in the nand. (but still erasable)

So if the message on the screen matches your problem, that must mean that you are like other members of recent. it means you don't know how to use this wonderful creation called a search and need to create pointless threads.
took me all of 5 seconds to do what you didn't do. I mean even if you had typed what you think the screen showed, the auto fill feature would have pointed you in the right direction too

now even if i have the necessary drivers (which come with motorola device manager) pc doesnt recognize my phone
also now my phone now says svf.... failed to boot... entering nflash recovery.... battery too low to flash and screen stays like this and phone gets heat (so we can say it's alive?)
The phone has been alive this whole time. I don't know why you said "hard brick" in the title, this has nothing to do with a hard brick. (Do you even know what a hardbrick is?)
You will need to charge the battery using another phone or an external charger. If you feel confident enough, you could try the trick where you strip a USB cable and connect the wires directly to the battery. (No idea what I'm talking about? Time to use search again.)

Here is short explanation what hard brick is:
Hard bricks are more or likely that you won’t be able to fix it. If you get a hard brick, your phone will not be repaired, there will be absolutely no way to without sending it to the manufacturer. This could be from wiping the entire system without flashing a rom, no way into recovery and no way to get it back. This could be also caused from bad installation files, or turning off/removing the battery from your device during the first installation or boot up sequence. Sometimes you can fix a hard brick, but more often than not your device is going to be broken. This is a fix that is required by the manufacturer of the device. Honestly if you get this, it may just be simpler to go get the device replaced instead of even trying to fix it. HOWEVER make sure you go out and read about it, typing in the exact problem and doing lots of research for your specific device as there may be some hope for the device somewhere.

JTAG depends heavily on your ability to solder tiny surface mount components. Good luck.
