I had to order a replacement phone. Question I have is when I re-root and install titanium bu, will all of my information (apps and data) still be there? Or will I have to do everything all over again?
If you didn't save it on your external SD card or to your computer yes you have to download all over it again.
Save titanium back up folder to your external SD card or to your computer once in a while so if anything goes wrong u can just put it back on the internal SD card and just restore it.

When flashing for the first time, do you need to wipe the sd card as well as the phone storage itself or just the phone. Basically what I want to know is all of the contents of my sd card going to be lost.

No, the SD card shouldn't ever get wiped. That's where your backups and the image you are flashing should be stored.
is there a way to save all my files in my SD card prior to partitioning? I have many games and app, I don't like to start over again. TIA
Use minitool partition wizard home edition on pc....

Just copy everything on your sd card to pc and after partioning copy back everything.Remember to enable show hidden files before copying and copying back.Use minitool partion wizard.

Hey, I have eclipse installed and in doing so it automatically switched my sd card location. Internal is now external, and external is now internal. under settings I have selected install apps to internal sd card, which now means they are installing to my external card correct? Also when I got into settings to manage applications it shows hardly anything installed to the external card but that's because its.flipped right? Im just a little confused cuz if I ever want to sbf again I want to make sure they are installed to the real external card so I don't lose anything. So theoretically I should not use the option under settings to "move app to external card" because I would be moving it to the internal? Is there any other way to see if they are installed on my real external card? For example plugging in to a computer via usb and being able to see what's there?
Thanks in advance for any help.
one way to check is power off, remove sd card, reboot
if app still works its not on sd card

Hello Folks!
i just bought a 32gig micro sd card for my S3. inserted it, formated. everything goes well. but now i have problem. is there anyway to change the settings of touchwiz, so it downloads and installs all apps on the external sd ? and how do i change the backup location in titanium backup ? titanium backkups take up quite some space, so it would be great if they can be stored AUTOMATCALLY on the external SD. Btw S3 is rooted.
Thanks Guys
Titanium Backup
Go on menu, then Preferences
Then Backup Settings, Backup folder

For the first problem you have go to the mods section and search for internal sdcard to external sdcard..you will get a zip which will toggle the memories so that your internal memory will be shown as external and vice versa ..all the apps will then be stored on the external sdcard

Hi,
Since I have similar issues and more, I jump in with my own questions...
It seems that my ext sd card is only partially recognized. For instance, Rom Manager does not see it, so when I want to install a zip file from Rom Manager, it will only browse for the zip file within the internal as card. I can however browse through the ext sd card from Recovery.
I can also reach my zip file stored in the ext card with ES file explorer, click on it and open it with Rom Manager to install it straight away...
When I do a nandroid backup, I get a message during the backup process stating something like "no ext card found"
I'm just wondering how the ext sd card can be recognized in any situation? Could this relates to how I formatted it? I did a standard formatting with my Windows 7 PC, so it was fat32 (or fat).

Hey all i have a problem, i cant instal rom cuz in CWM my sd card is phone memory WTF! In file manager my phone memory is SD card.
Really need help bro's.
Its supposed to be like that. Its like the internal SD card of the phone. For me, it never wipes the internal SD card when I installed a custom ROM. But I always made a backup. If you want to put ROM on external SD card, you can do so. And when you search for the ROM, the folder should be labeled as external SD

Screenshot?
Id est quod est
CM made this swap mid ICS is I remember. Was this to mitigate the encryption bug wiping out the internal?
