After installing Free X10 b3 and a cyanogen mod update zip, long pressing on the menu button no longer brings up the keyboard. Is anyone else having this issue or know how it can be resolved?

My battery is same in beta4 like it was in beta3
install beta4 and wait for darkstyle theme
same problem with my x10 runing free x10 beta 4 (base .54 and build .435)... please guys help... i use the keyboard alot for music searching.
except for this bug and no cam recording the rom is amazing..

What is the best 2.2 rom for the x10 now? This might be a stupid question but are any of them complete? I did take a look at most of them and some I couldn't tell. Can someone help me out? I just need to know if any of the 2.2 roms good for everyday use? Thanks.

Its a mix of zdzihu's 2.2 beta 4 and a trip cyanogen mod rom.
Everything works in like that worked in beta 4 and just as stable, plus you get cyanogen mod goodies ;-)

I'm still running on the Beta 3. Are there any major differences between beta 3 and Beta 4?
+I have loaded CM settings so I got the functionality of CM with loading a new ROM which was a time saver for me.
A few FC's from time to time but if I wipe my factory settings once every two months all is fine.
My vote goes to wolf's TW 007.1. It's fast and stable.

Guyz... V hav got many roms... But lets just keep it simple and sort out the best everyday used roms...

The ONLY drawback to either is that you need a 3rd party app (videocam illusion) to use the camcorder...
Otherwise they are 100% stable and perfect.

I find them both pretty equal. MY suggestion is flash bandwidth .55, seems to be better than .54...
I get a day no problem, and I use my phone pretty heavily. Two days with light to moderate usage.
Wolfbreaks CM V4.3 is the best IMO.

If you like to use a 2.3 ROM use the TMRgingerARCmOd
ROM from rdannar. Its pretty stable for a gingerbread ROM and I think, don't quote me on this, but I think it has more stuff working than the other 2.3 gingerbread ROMS. Try it. But no camera at all works on the ROM. Who needs a camera though? You got the most updated software at least working for the x10.

There's alternative camera Apps that work. I love to how the transitions are seamless scrolling between screens and Apps. Using the latest flash Player is also a huge advantage to. My wifi auto connects with now problem and the bluetooth works fine.
2.1 is old and outdated and slow. I'm currently using Cm 6.1. 3 and it's exceptional. I was using free x10, which was great but I still prefer wolfs rom.
Time for you to get with the times, so you can get a real phone.
Besides you can always flash between roms, it only takes 5mins.

everything is fine.... i installed video illusion..but i seem 2 hav lost the sensitivity... i mean i have 2 slide my finger 2 or 3 times...to get the scrolling... and some times the icons dont get selected...is it becoz of the "illusion.."???
and 1 more thing.. when i use illusion... n record the video.. my voice is played like a chipmunks...what the hell is that??
i had the same problem too with the screen. so i switched roms but the video illusion is like that. i personally think its hilarious. lol but its how its processed through the phone i think for that app or the rom.

CM7 has got a few big bugs like: high quality camera doesn't work. It is on Android 2.3
CM6 is very good, there aren't any bigger bug, a few little ones which I even don't found, but someone have written about them. On CM6 everything works perfectly and i observed that battery lives longer.
I had both ROMs and I stick to CM6 until CM7 will be on the same stage of completion like CM6
It's more your preference I guess. The only drawback (for me) to cm7 ROM is the camera. Aside from that, everything else is pretty much equal. I'd stick with cm7 but I really need the camera.

i flashed cm6 v3.03. it worked but than out of nowhere it started force closing. i did it twice after unbricking my phone... but it still force closes...
i know the rom is nice and fast.
what could i be doing wrong?

Im also same as u...cm7 is great...the camera i use Angle Camera...resolution can go till 2048x1536 and without any lag + hang...
I would at the moment CM6 is better at the moment
The battery lasts longer and everything works fine!
If you use CM6 try using the custom rom called froyocomb v1.32
It is pretty awesome and fast and it has the screen off and on animation that CM7 has

Try clearing the dalvik cache. That fixes a lot of problems. If that doesn't work, try flashing with SEUS then flashing the ROM.

I'd say it depends on your needs, if you use the camera a lot then stick with CM6, if you want to go for the best possible performance, then use CM7, Gingerbread, at least on my X10 Mini, is much faster than Froyo.
I will build ROM for X10MP based CM7.1 And Google Offical. ROM is very very clean and offical. Do not have something to change to Offical 2.3.7

I just need one gb rom that works perfect without any bug.
For me is very annoying bug of double letters when only one press hardwer key when tiping message or something. Minicm2.1.9 and rom from x10mp team got that bug. But earlier on minicm 2.1.8 and earlier i had never that bug.

X10mp ROM is based on MiniCM [for now] Therefore, OBVIOUSLY, it will inherit the bugs in MiniCM.
Try other ROMS. There are many out there, though not as good as MiniCM7, but alot of them will not have that bug. They will, however, have far less performance than MiniCM.

Hm i never had that bug on older minicm7 .. First time it happen on v 2.1.8

ICS may be out but slade87 stopped work on his ICS rom and paul-xxx hasn't released any updates for his ICS rom in ages - even though he's had the next version, V03, of his ICS rom to himself to test personally

No idea. Not seen any posts from him in any xda threads in ageeeeeeeees! There really needs to be more communication back to the xda community I feel though. It's a two way thing, and yes it's not great to ask for ETA's, but then again: @XDA DEVS : at least let us know something like "I'm running into bugs/problems/whatever" please!

Hey ithunter I tested this on CM7 and it works... although it would be better if I can access it from pressing it from the recent apps entered from long pressing home button.
