Is there a way to change status bar sound control to "Sound/Vibration/Silent" ?
Currently it's alternating only between sound/vibration....
I just got my Galaxy 2 days ago and I am unable to set this phone to be silent wihtout vibrating... its really annoying and I wish I had stuck to my Desire HD.

Mine doesn't come with a "status bar sound control". What are you using?

Bit of an overreaction, but okay. Go to settings, sound and set vibration type in there.

Dunno mate - bizarre.
Have you tried messing with the vibration settings to see if it turns on silent without vibrate?

Yes, if you keep the Vibration = Never, under Settings> Sound; then the switch toggles Sound and Silent (without vibration)

Your Switch is changed to toggle mobile DATA.
I have a Data toggle when i long press power button. what do you have there?
Just a thought... can you scroll this bar to the left by any chance? May be to reveal the hidden sound switch
Can't help you with the status bar control, but the app Widgetsoid will give you a widget that does it.

My power menu is the same as yours, and no - the toggles in the notification area can't be scrolled left and right. It's just different.
Anyway, I use the SwitchPro widget to toggle stuff that's not in the notification area, and that toggles Sound on/vibrate/sound off. Can't suggest what to do about the one in question though.
Hi friends. I don't like cm7 stock Phone app and i use another dialer app (Go dialer). But my device gets 2 notifications, both stock phone.apk and go dialer.
Can i disable stock phone app notification. And how can i do?
i guess there might be an option in Go dialler to disable other notifications...
am telling this because I have same kind of option in Go sms pro, where I can disable all the other notifications except go sms pro's notification..
Im pretty sure you're able to chose to disable the notifications with GO's dialer, i've used it once and I didnt have problem with double notifications.

Really working... Thank you very much.
On my stock ICS ROM there used to be a toggle button that enabled me to hide the notifications in the notification bar. A very usefull feature as I use my phone a lot to show technical pictures to customers and when sms and what'sapp notifications pop up, it doesn't look all that professional. On the different Jelly Bean ROMS i can't find this option anymore. Has it just disappeared from Jelly Bean? Or do i need another ROM? Now using Omega V27.1. Thank you for any advice.

It's there on jb.. Press and hold the notification.. You will get an option to go to app info.. From there you can toggle notifications on and off
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It's been rolled into the "Blocking mode" feature. Open (the main) Settings from your app drawer and you can configure it from there. If Omega uses the original toggles (and not the 15 toggles), you can also configure Blocking mode from the notification bar (and turn it on and off from there).

Apologies for my incorrect reply, it does seem to be removed - the notifications feature of blocking mode only seems to refer to incoming call notifications

Hi everyone,
I know that in android there is the option to hide notification content on lockscreen but i have allowed all notification content.
Despite this notifications are still blocked... and I cant find any option to stop this
If anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I got the same problem and until now no fix. Would be nice if someone has a hint.
Can you try to see if an app has permissions to show notifications?
So I've tried to hide the contents on notifications and enabling them again and everything worked out fine.
What version of the P20 Lite are you running?
That didn't work for me.
What do you mean which Version?
Model is ANE-LX1 running Android 8.0.0

I work in a phone store and just fixed this for someone - if you have facelock turned on go into settings > security&privacy > face unlock > turn off "smart lock screen security"

hello guys ok first sorry for bad en but ihave got somthing go to settings>serch for (notification management)>go to any thing like (whatsapp)>message notification > lock screen( its will be {display} change it to hide notification content)
well done but you have to do it for evrey app
good luck
I have tried everything above and can't get any notifications to show on my lock screen. It used to show them and I also changed the setting to not show content but for whatever reason, it doesn't show me anything, not even an icon in the top corner until I unlock to the home screen. I'm using Nova launcher but even if I go back to the original launcher nothing changes. Any ideas?
You simply work there for a reason, mate!
I have looked for this solution since I got the phone (Only 5 hours ago though), and was getting irritated
But you solved my problem! Thank you, and I hope you will get a raise for your effort!

Just created an account to thank you! Couldnt find it anywhere!
Thanks mate! FIXED! :good:
You are a life saver! Thank you
If yes, how? Exactly what should be set?
I tried everything, in the developer settings the bubble usage is set, at the app also set.
Any idea?
Same problem
I enabled it but till now I don't know how it should be used. Seems that there will be some next update to fix this issue maybe and also the issue that the AOD is still the same as EMUI9.1
I enabled it in Developer Settings, the last option down. im on emui 10
Ok. The question is : does it works?
Do you receive bubble notifications?
Of course I enabled the bubbles in the developer settings, but I receive NO bubble notifications.

The only thing I did was enable enable Banners and Sprechblasse (speech bubble). you can go there by setting-Apps-Gmail-Notifications. And Bubbles ind Developer Options of course must be enabled. Thats all i did
Or you can go to Gmail Settings and choose your email and then manageNotifications
Dav,
thank you. I tried everything (I think) but simple do not have the bubbles...
I receive the banner, but not the bubbles notification.
I keep testing...
