NOT SUITABLE WITH THE LATEST UPDATE OF X10 MINI!!!
If you [email protected]$w things up by mistake, i have the original Framework files FOR THE LATEST UPDATE OF X10 MINI attached at the bottom. Just replace "android.policy.jar", "framework.jar" and "framework-res.apk" from my package with the attached ones ("Original Framework Files x10 Mini LATEST UPDATE.rar" attachment).
A simpe program to add a Reboot Option in the power menu, even if u have accidentally deleted/renamed framework.jar or framework-res.apk.
In my case, i tryed to install the reboot option with root explorer and i accidentally deleted framework-res.apk, so the phone couldn't boot.... I fixed the problem with this simple app.
What u need is a x10 Mini or Mini Pro, rooted with xRecovery.
If u got Mini Pro, replace "android.policy.jar", "framework.jar" and "framework-res.apk" from my package with the attached ones. Many thanks to shivenjuneja because the Mini Pro files are from his thread.
Reboot the phone and start xRecovery (press the back button when the first Sony Ericsson logo appears).

Go to "Partition Tools"
Select "Mount /system"
Connect the phone to PC using the USB cable, wait 10~20 seconds and run "install.bat".
Follow the instructions and you're done.
If you see something like this:
Then you probably haven't installed the drivers correctly.
Go to "Device Manager" from your pc.
You probably see something like this:
If yes, then you haven't installed the drivers correctly.
I downloaded "PC Companion" and extracted the "SEMC HSUSB Device Driver" for x10 Mini for Win7, u can find them at the bottom, in the attachments. You can try this as well with WinXP, but if the driver is not compatible you will have to download PC Companion.
So after you complete the driver installation you should be able to see this:
Run the prog again and it should work.

I guess that you haven't installed correctly the drivers on your pc. When you connect the phone to your pc, in "Device Manager" you should see "SEMC HSUSB DEVICE". If you don't, then download Sony Ericsson Update Service and install it to make sure that you'll install the drivers. You can also test the attached driver.
thanks! it works now.
btw, i tried using another theme framework apk. phone is okay, but when press power button, it goes str8 to reboot. no option at all.
the reason i used another framework is that, it turn my phone to stock. (blue color)
how to overcome this problem?

a)Did you start your phone in xRecovery mode?
b)Did you press Mount /system in the xRecovery mode? because this error is probably because you have not Write permissions to "System" folder.
Try again following these instuctions and write back to me.
A. Yes, I did start my phone in xrecovery mode.
B. Yes, I did mount/system
How can I have write permissions? What things I must do, to have write permission?
Is my 2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware may have cause this?
If your phone can boot into home screen please use root explorer to mount your /system rw and begin install without any errors
Try quangnhut123's suggestion, still fail.
it say "permission denied"
Have the same prob. "Permission denied".
will replacing the three files affect the phone's performance? coz i've noticed that whenever i replace those files, i notice a sluggish performance on my phonen.
I haven't noticed "sluggish performance". But the first time you'll boot your phone u'll have to wait about 2/4 mins.

last week i tried to root my HTC and all sudden the camera turned black and white.
i tried to look for sitting, but i couldn't find anything help.
so i reset the phone to the defult and i still have the same problem.
and an application called " superuser " haven't been deleted.
also the software version is 2.2, and i tried to update but i couldn't!
anyone can help please ! i want the camera to work so badly !
Well it sounds like something messed up during root,
You can't remove SuperUser it's used for ROOT to grant root access to apps that require it.
Step by step for troubleshooting.
1)Download "Camera Fix 2.2.zip" (Attached File)
2)Extract contents (Two APK files) to the root of your SD card.
3)Mount SD to phone.
4)Use a application installer or file browser and find "Camera.apk, and Gallery3D.apk"
5)Install both programs
6)Reboot phone.
----------------------------
If this method doesn't work continue on with this.(DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS THE ABOVE FAILED)
1)Search Market for "ROM Toolbox"
2)Install this program
3)Open this program, A Dialog box will pop-up asking for ROOT.
4)Accept ROM Toolbox for ROOT.
5)Open "App Manager"
Here you will see a list of apps, along with category tabs. Swipe to the right till you are in the All Apps category, scroll down till you see "Camera"
6)Long Press/Click the Camera bar/app until a menu pops-up
7)You will see "Launch, Backup, Uninstall, Manage, etc...
Scroll down to "Zipalign", click it/press it. You will see a few things pop-up just saying it's zipaligning the app.
8)Now repeat step #6.
9)From this menu again, scroll down till you see "Fix Permissions" Click it/Press it.
10)Reboot phone, and hopefully that works!

Okay, lets download Android Commander this is the easiest way to use ADB. ADB is going to be what we use to fix your phone.
After its downloaded...
and Installed...
Lets do a test and see if your phone will show up...
1)Install Android Commander
2)Plug your phone in with the USB to your computer
3)Go to Settings > Development > USB Debugging we want this ON
4)Did your computer realize your phone is connected?
If not, I need to know what phone you have so I can further help you.
If it doesn't show up you need ADB Drivers for your phone...
If it does work....
5)Open Android Commander
6)You will see a pop-up

Download the zip file for .69 for xmp rooted here and extract it. In system there must be the textinput-tng.apk. Just copy to system, change the permissions with root explorer or some other to the permissions of the other apps there and install it. Reboot and should be fine
Um,thanks....but do I need to flash everything once again.???cant I just get the mini pro keyboard app....

No, don't flash again. Just download the rom on your pc. You extract it and you will get a system folder. In the system folder, there's an app folder. And in the app folder there's the "textinput-tng.apk". You take this and put it on the sd card of your device. Now you use any root explorer and copy it to the phone /system/app folder. There you install it. Check if there's written rw-r--r-- .
If it is just reboot and it should be done, otherwise do these steps:
To do this the system has to be mounted read/write.
Check out these screenshots (in the right corner it has to say mount r/o that you can edit system apps, not like in my screenshot r/w)

Hold on the app and click on permissions:
And check out it is like this:
That's it! Reboot and it should be done
Download the package mihahn gave the link to.
Extract the .ftf file from the package with 7zip or winrar or similar archiver program.
Open (not extract just open) the .ftf file, use 7zip or winrar again.
Goto /system/app/ and find textinput-tng.apk.
Move that to your SD card.
Then use a file manager on your phone to move textinput-tng.apk from your SD card to your rom's /system/app/.
Reboot and you should have the keyboard working.

There's no ftf to extract. He only should download the zip file from this post (the one for xperia mini rpo 4.0.2.A.0.69 - flash via recovery) and extract it using for example 7zip or winrar. There's just a system folder inside, which he has to open, open app folder and do it like I explained in Post #4!
Because there's no ftf
But wait, did you mean hardware keyboard or onscreen? For hardware do same and if it doesn't work try this fix
Sorry my mistake, I didn't realise that particular download was just folders and I thought it was an .ftf file as that's what I have been downloading from that post.
Thanks mihahn...I was talking bout the on screen keyboard..this should do the trick.
Nice. Screenshots also...thanks.

Go to the system folder and check these permissions as you saw in the screenshots, if they aren't like that correct them.
Reboot and go to system>apps>International keyboard and after that you clear data and clear cache.
Reboot and should be done!
Btw hit thanks if my posts are helping you
Edit:: If you say it was all empty, which explorer do you use? Use root explorer (paid app) or use ES File Explorer, I think they can change permissions...
Im using root explorer...but all the boxes were unchecked.another thing,I just noticed that the portrait onscreen keyboard force closes evrytim I try to type anythin....

Remove it again reboot. After reboot just copy it there and reboot again, don't install or do anything. After the reboot it should work.
And make sure you copied the gingerbead app and not ics...

Hi everyone
i have a very rare problem with my x10 which is stocked at Sony Ericsson logo.
the problem is caused by flashing FeraLab Rom without flashing the FeraKernel before that. I didnt knew kernel is a most and should be installed first and that started to fuc my phone..
after that i tried everything in the net, installed everything that was related to xperia x10 drivers to get it detected by the PC but it just doesnt work and im still having the damn problem.
i tried using sony companion, sony update service ( which i guess doesnt support sony ericsson phones anymore ) to repair and anything els. but they're not helping me either.
I just need some help here to get my xperia x10 get detected by the windows 7 and flashtools/sony companion to repair it and reflash the roms.
right now when i connect it to pc it just says Unknown Device detected and by trying to updating driver with sdk tool and everything els, it still has problems. another message i get during this process is USB Device Not Recognized.
if any expert here have solutions for me, please give it to me, im stuck on this for about 1 week and you may know what that make me feel..

you need to connect your device in flash mode in order to install this drivers. To do this, first turn off your X10 and unplug it from your PC. Then press and hold back button and connect the phone to PC USB port. You should see black screen and green LED on, and the PC should find a new device called "SEMC HSUSB Device". Now install on this new founded device drivers from above.

try to disable digital signature requirement using this method:
Method 1.
Go to Start Menu and type "cmd.exe" in the Search Bar and press <Enter>. (Remember you must be logged on as Administrator)
OR you can go to "All Programs", then "Accessories", right-click on "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as administrator".
1. Now type the following and press <Enter> after each line:
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
2. Restart your computer
3. This will disable your Windows 7 driver signing.
4. Install the driver for your device (X10i)
If this did NOT work for you, here is another way to disable Windows 7 driver signing.
Method 2.
1. During boot-up, continuously press <F8> to get to Advanced Boot Options. Note: On some systems, you need to first press <F2> to go into Boot Menu, then press <F8> to reach Advanced Boot Options.
2. When the menu appears, use the DOWN arrow key to scroll to “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.”
3. Press <Enter>.
4. Continue the boot process.
5. After your computer has completed the boot process, try to install the driver for your device.

STEP 1: INSTALL THE DRIVERS INSIDE THE MT8127 SP_FLASH_TOOL.zip" file you downloaded It will install the mtk usb vCOM driver we need for the mtk8127. if u have questions PM vampirefo. after that, turn your tablet upside down, FIND THE reset hole and jam the nearest tiny object in there until the screen does something different (like go black) release the reset button, hold VOLUME DOWN and plug in the USB cord and the tablet should be reconized as a preloader USB VCOM Port device under "Ports" in Device Manager

So, the necessary driver to save this POS is at hand. after it's done installing the tablet will probably reboot and the remaining drivers will install. (EVEN WITHOUT THE OTHER DRIVER YOU CAN ROOT AND FLASH NOW)
Fire up the MT8127 SP flash tool (run as administrator) you downloaded and you should see this:
Click "Scatter-Loading" and select the scatter file located in the stock rom folder you downloaded and unzipped (you DID unzip it right?) and click the "RECOVERY" FIELD LOCATED HERE:
and select the recovery image you downloaded called "UBIFSRecovery4SuperSu.img......yay, you should be all set up and ready to go!
Make sure youve already unplugged the USB cable AND hit the reset button. HIT THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON (the program is now waiting for your device...no rush) HOLD VOLUME DOWN AND PLUG IN THE USB CABLE, the computer will detect the device, the program will proceed to shove a bunch of ones and zeros down the the tablets throat and it will reboot (hopefully to a mediatek logo).
If so, youre not as stupid as everyone says when u leave the room
Toss "UPDATE-SuperSU-2.46.zip" on a microSD, Power off the device, shove the SD in his home and hold POWER + VOLUME UP until you get prompted to select either RECOVERY OR FASTBOOT, we want recovery so make sure it's selected and press VOLUME DOWN to boot into recovery & install your SuperSU.zip and reboot
once the OS is fully running, run TWRP.exe as ADMINISTRATOR in AUTO mode, TWRP recovery should be installed and u should still have root, if not, you'll need to go into advanced, then mount system before re-installing from zip.
NOW learn ADB and fastboot so I can save my breath next time:
PS, all your GAPPS are gone....quit *****ing, I've got em here: htpa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.2-20140608-signed.zip(pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.2-20140608-signed.zip 85.3MB) & HERE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9DmzLnUt5tuSl9lME9VZnFJTU0/view?usp=sharing(pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140608-signed.zip 267MB))
I have requested this thread be removed, you are using my stuff without permission, and even crediting yourself with the firmware, I took the time to download, you yourself have done nothing but take others work including mine without permission.
Hi,
This is my first thread on XDA and I need urgent help.
I am using a rooted Lenovo A536. Few months ago, I rooted it and started messing with the system UI using Xposed and other apps.
I changed the boot animation several times when I got bored of the old one. Created custom boot animations and all and was changing the boot animation almost every 2 weeks.
But today, things didn't went as expected because of a stupidity of mine. I modified a boot animation which had two folders, namely "part0" and "part1". The thing I forgot to modify was the desc.txt. It was as follows:
480 854 20
p 1 0 part1
p 0 0 part2
As you can see here, I forgot to change the folder names in the txt file and they were "part1" and "part2" instead of "part0" and "part1".
I installed the bootanimation through JRummy Bootanimations app. After I rebooted the device, I could only see the image that was stored in "part1" folder. A few seconds later, the phone vibrated for a fraction of a second while the brightness turned down, as always happens when booting up an android device. But the image of part0 folder was still there. I could hear notification ringtones and all. I tried calling on that phone, the phone rang normally but that image from bootanimation was still on the screen. I swiped on the area where the receive/decline slider is placed. The call got answered. I could hear all the voices and talk normally. I tapped the area where end call button is placed. The call ended. In short, the device is fully working but that bootanimation image is acting like an overlay on the screen.
I can access the recovery menu but can't figure out what to do! I don't want to factory reset as I don't want to lose any of my precious data.
Can I flash a new boot animation, or remove the current one so that the overlay of bootanimation gets removed?
The device has stock recovery.
Can anyone help please?
I'll try to post a video of the device later so that you can better understand the issue.
Do let me know if you require any other details. But I urgently need the device. I don't have any other phone with me ATM.
If you got adb enabled you can push a new bootanimation to your device.

Could you please guide me doing the same? When I press the power and volume up keys, a chinese recovery menu opens up. I don't know what it is as everything is in Chinese. With this menu opened, when I connect my phone to USB cable and open up ADB, and type ADB devices, I get the following message! This means that my device is being detected and I can push the bootanimation.zip, right?

That didn't work. I tried adb reboot command but it said that the device is unauthorised. Please accept the permission. It was something like that. Don't exactly remember.
I have a question. The stock recovery has an option "Apply update from ADB". When I open it, a message appears, "Now send the package you want to apply to the device with "adb sideload <filename>"..."
So, can you help me out please? It's really urgent! I've missed many important calls and whatsapp messages just because of that wrong desc.txt! :/

I don't think stock recovery will flash anything that's not signed with Lenovo's private key.
Yeah, first time adb connection from a new connected computer must be authorized on phone.

You could try to hit the YES button, as the touch still worked fine... Can be a bit tricky but that should do it.

I have successfully installed TWRP 2.7.10 using SP Flash Tool. What do I do now?

Also, USB Debugging wasn't enabled on my device. So adb didn't detect it. I have already wiped the data partition as I mainly needed contacts and whatsapp and some apps that I already had a backup of on SD Card.

That's great. ADB works from twrp now? file should be in same directory as adb.
You can google for commands but it should be something like:
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
or
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
It depends on where the file is stored..
Even if it doesn't..you can still put your working bootanimation.zip in your sdcard, then use twrp's built in file manager or terminal to copy/move files and change file-permissions if needed.
Thank god! I finally managed to delete the bootanimation.zip file from system/media using TWRP File Explorer and my device booted finally!
Thanks for your suggestions tys0n. Appreciate that!
Great!

True that! I once tried to install TWRP a few months back, but was unable to do so due to some error. And I never tried to install it again because of laziness! If I had overcome this laziness and had TWRP installed at that time, I wouldn't have needed to go through all this! xD
