please help, i have a radio version 2.05 on a old WWE, and icant make any update to my device, and i cant download any updates or software from htc.com/support....
every time i try to update, the update utility told : ERROR : WRONG VENDER ID, and i dont know what to do, even the device S/N is wrong every where...
really iam gonna kill myself for this chit ....
CAN ANY ONE HELP ???
Just a question; did you install HSPL already? (This is needed if you will change your radio)

i applied the imate 1.52 update avaliable at club imate and the device doesnt feel right, i have had a couple of problems with it, so i decided to go ahead with the T-mobile update.
but i got the wrong country code error ..
i read about it and others are having the problem,

I recently put on Buzz's latest wm2005, when I installed it I didnt need to change the operator id or anything like that.
Some of my applications are not working on 2005 and I would like to revert back to 2003se but Im having some difficulties.
Everytime I do the downgrade I am getting country id errors and when I try and figure out my operator id using the device info application the output file is just jibberish..
Can anyone tell me what the operator id would have been set to when I installed buzz's wm2005 or how I can find out what the operator id is on wm2005.
I really need to downgrade!

Go to this link and look for BUZZ LIGHTYEAR. The file and instructions are there that make country id error a thing of the past, it works flawlessly.

Yesterday a upgrade my TYTN with new rom (bootloader 1.09) (first it was Original tytn rom bootloader 1.04 ) .During upgrade it stopped and tell me about recovery , I canceled it and try to reupgrade . I was not successful and after that there is no way to do anything . Not do downgrade nor upgrade .
Who can help me , please . now I have a 800$ tytn which has only a screen which only show bootloader screen .....!!!!

Did you try flashing HTC 1.18.255.3 07/22/06 Rom after failure? Any error message?

For everyone who try to upgrade roms, please make sure you reboot your PC first, exit all programs(eg.MSN.baba) and don't launch any program during the update. Also, make sure your battery is fully charged.

I tried "ME_DT_WWE_1182553_106_10303_Ship" but I was not successful (it has also bootloader 1.04) .It said no vendor id !! . is there any deference between your suggested rom .
now I am downloading yout suggested rom . I hope I'll succeed . but if not , how can I do .

Seems to be a common problem....
Also looks like only way out is to flash a matching CID rom, however I cant try this as there is no released UK M3100 rom.
My issue was slightly different, but the end result seems to be the same. Confirm that you've got a ROM with the same CID. However querying the CID (info 2 in bootloader check wiki for more detail) returns bizzare "corrupt"? looking CID in which case even the "correct" rom for the device wont work....
Whats your CID..... Is there a matching CID rom available, and what happens when you try it. You'll probably need to flash from the bootloader.
If that fails, its return to base for a reflash....(that'll be chargeable....)
POF or some of the other bright sparks may be able to revive, but I've tried all tricks so far.....

i had upgrade my device successfully from original wm5 to original wm6
the answers :-
1- nope u dont need to unlock ur cid if u r using htc x7500 device "not dopod or aemo"

2-nope u dont have to do anything if u ur device is locked...
but if ur device is unlocked be aware that ur spl is 1.2 or less...
if u have 3.5 spl .. then u gatta downgrade to 1.2 .... see this

Hi guys,
i am new to this Forum and you are my "last hope"... ;-)
I bought a used HTC Mozart at ebay. Everything is fine so far, it works, no damages or scratches updating to mango went smooth but trying to debrand it makes me mad...
It is a T-Mobile (Germany) branded device and one of several things that confuses me is the following:
Every time when i try to debrand it, i get the error 294 ( wrong vender id )... i searched the web, different Forums but i got no solution to fix this problem.
Even when i try to flash to T-Mob 1.09 Rom, i get the wrong vender id message
My phone datas are these:
Operating system: 7.10.7720.68
Firmwarerevision: 2250.21.4050.111
Hardwarerevision: NA
Radio software: 5.69.09.05a_22.50.21U
Radio hardware: 0.0.0.0
Bootloader: 4.5.2250.1 (12879)
Chip Soc version 2.2.5.0
What really confuses me is the fact, that the Hardwarerevision-No and Radiohardware-No are without a value.
Does this possibly mean that the prior owner tried to flash the device ??
Sorry for my bad english and probably my questions sound stupid to you but this is my first WM device and i still have to learn a lot.
I hope that someone is able to help me.

If the device has updated to Mango then your SPL (Secondardy Program Loader) will have been update too, most probably to 5.xx . Once you have a 4.xx or 5.xx you will not be able to downgrade ROM to 1.09 version.

i can downgrade my mango til 7004, that won`t be a problem. i just have to reset it..
But i don`t understand why there are no values at Hardwarerevision-no and radio Hardware... how can that be ??

i hope your problem is resolved by now. but here are my two cents:
if your phone is working, then there should be no issue. however, you may still want to downgrade the bootloader and deploy a custom ROM.
im sorry is any way to flash a rom becuase i have the same probleme??

Yes there is a way to flash it. Just search the forum on how to downgrade your SPL, it is a bit complicated if you are new to this stuff. But there are really good tutorials on how to do that here.
Just downgrade the SPL and you can install almost any ROM that you would like.
