Official Dell Streak 2.2 froyo rom? - Streak 5 Android Development

Anyone know where i can get the official streak stock froyo 318 baseband from? im tring to go to stock 2.2. i got one rom thats supposed to be the update but there is a problem with the contacts. they not there, i add them and nothing. i can dial the number and it shows the contact but nothing in the contacts list or favs or anything. doesnt anyone know a fix for this or have a place where i can get a diff rom? i know QDT tools has 2.2 but its not the 318 baseband its the oldest version and i believe its a beta rom its slow and laggy and lacks performance.
thanks
Matt

[Q] rooted x10i now what

Hi, really sorry if posted before please dont flame shout or anything else.
i have managed to root my x10i.
my phone has the following details
uk on 3
firmware 2.1 update1
baseband 2.1.54
kernel version 2.6.29
build number 2.1.a.0.435
what i want to know is what should i do now???? i would like to install a new rom.
which one do i choose.... there are many threads with links here, there, and everywhere and i am finding it confusing, i am new to this and would appreciate any help and advice that you could part to a willing and eager x10i user.
i would prefer to use/have a fully working rom inc camera and video playback.
i understand this will limit my options,
i dont mind using a stripped down stock rom.
thanks in advance for any help
It is possible for you to get 2.2, but dont know which version is the best, thinking rdannar or what he's called. it doesn't have a functioning cam, but you can get that from apps.

mmmh the camera works in most of the roms but the quality really isnt great. there is a 2.1custom stripped down se rom which im using and that is full functional and much faster than the standard se. just go through the 1st to pages on the android development and take your pick, they all list whats working and whats not.the 2.1 roms will mostly be fully functional
i got my x10a last week on friday an within 12 hurs rooted 1.6 installed 2.1.a.0.435 rooted that installed Root Explorer, xRecovery, hunnycomb 2.1 rom.
used this to install new F/W

Well.
Have you considered the applications you can use?

Regarding ROMS: If you paint a SAAB blue, it doesn´t become a Volvo. Some parts of the 2.2> roms still uses big parts o the 2.1-update 1 firmware and it uses the same bootloader
thanks guys for all the replys and links. i have just used the go3easys rom

[Q] Which Gingerbread rom is best for X10I and which most upto date baesbands?

Hello Guys
First off thank you to everyone for all your hardwork
I am having a problem finding the best Gingerbread rom and the correct basebands that work. I have tried a few and more often than not i have problems with random reboots and error messages. I would like to know which people find out there work the most stable and which combo of rom and basebands please
I have also wondered with Android been an OS for all models of phones can you install a rom on an X10i (my model handset) that has been made and is basically stable as F8*k for example a HD Desire or model that would work on X10i. I think i may know the answer and that been that it isn't possible but i want to ask anyway just to clarify
Lastly a very big thankyou to everyone for all there hard work and time put into the development of the roms so that we can all update our phones when SE couldn't even release updated roms for us. Personally i think it was a case of they didn't release 2.3 for X10i as they had the Arc coming out and 2.3 was probs it's biggest selling point.
Marti
Cyanogen CM7.0 RC4 v013 Gingerbread 2.3.3 is the only one I think... arc rom is not really maintained and was more of just a test. you need BB .52 . for me v013 rebooted a lot, but I am going to try v014 later
Hello
Gopdemon thanks for your reply
I have tried both of what you suggested with no luck :-(
I think maybe it's a problem with the baseband rather than the rom?
The GB ROM is unstable right now, even with the custom kernel. I would stick to 2.2 since its like 99-100% done. But you can try this:

Mister J thanks for the link. Thats the rom i am currently on
Thank You
Thanks to everyone that replied. I am now trying to work out which MIUI roms are best with best baseband but always running into issues :-( typed by Kate on behalf of Marti

[Q] Updating to Stock 2.3.4

Hi,
I'm currently on GingerBlur v4.5 right now and kind of want to update to 2.3.4 (some little things in GingerBlur just don't seem to work very well -- phone doesn't vibrate when I receive text messages, for example).
I'm aware that I need to go back to stock and then do the OTA update, but would doing so stop me from being able to root/theme? I'm excited for CM7 to be released, but kinks are still being worked out and I don't want to install anything that isn't at least in the "beta" stage, which I assume to be relatively stable.
Would reflashing (?) GingerBlur fix some of the issues I have or should I update to 2.3.4?
Also, is there any way to 'theme' Motoblur? I know of ADWLauncher and things like that, but I'd like everything else to look as close to vanilla Gingerbread as possible as well.. many thanks
When you say stock do you mean AOSP or Blurred 2.3.4? CM7 is the only thing sporting 2.3.5 that I'm aware of.
The latest stock version from Motorola is 2.3.4.
Sorry guys, meant to say 2.3.4 -- I've edited the post/title accordingly.

Dell Streak Back to Stock

Hi Guys
I have been out of the Dell Streak Sceen for a while so wonder if you guys can help me out. I have a DS 5 bought UK version, running 2.2.2 with dj steves room 2.6.32.9, I flashed to this rom a long time ago but never really got on with it. GPS not working etc and I gave up using he phone.
Recently I had to use it again as my work phone is broken. I would like to give it a update.
So I would like to know what is currently the stablest ROM? If not i will go back to Stock O2.
Maybe just some hints and guides in what i should do to flash it back as I am so out of it now. It is still on DJ Steves old old rom.
many thanks

CM7.2.0 is the one ive been using for a long while now... its the most stable imo
DSC is another excellent choice.
P.S. Next time, post in the correct forum. Questions like this do not belong in the development forum.

[Q] minor bug

i got a dell streak 5 as a gift, unbeknownst to me it is running a stock froyo 2.2.2 (baseband 347).
bug:
the camera seems to freeze at times when i try to click a pic. The secondary camera and the video recorder are working just fine. Is there a way to fix the camera bug. i thought it could be because of my SD card, so i formatted it and i tried again.. seems to be the same... is there a fix??
ive rooted the device and have removed all the bloatware and have been searching for a custom rom for a quite some time and im not able to find a link to a custom rom in the forum.
Is there a custom rom for my dell streak 5, froyo 2.2.2, baseband GAUB1A134700 build 15274. ??
Or am i jus stuck with this until i get a good phone
Thanks
