how do i fix the "Usb not recognize"
Did you install the Samsung drivers?
nope, but i know this is a problem with rom? cause yesterday it's fine but when i reinstall bionix usb can't recognize now... what should i do?
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728929
already install it, not working...
and also
"Internal/External Sdcard Mounting Fix - for all 2.2 roms - *11/20/10*"
other method/s ??
FIXED.
But CD ROM on Vibrant?? how to remove this?
USB not recognized - how I fixed my problem
I've been beating my head over this for about a week. I've installed/uninstalled drivers a dozen times, cleaned the registry, deleted application data, etc.
The puzzling thing for me was that it had worked reliably for me at one time, and I had gotten it to work on a couple of other occasions through all of the gyrations above. The phone also works fine on another computer. WTF?
After a fair amount of googling I pieced together enough to start questioning the integrity of the USB connection. Some people said using a different cable worked, others said plugging into a different USB port worked.
What worked for me was moving the USB cable from the front panel connector on the computer to a back panel connector (soldered directly to the mother board). As I said before, others have said changing cables worked for them.
I suspect that the phone's USB signal integrity is marginal (possibly bad impedance matching). Add to that questionable quality control on cabling inside and outside the computer.
Anyway, try connecting to a different port on the computer and/or changing your usb cable.

Sorry, I missed that you had fixed the connection issue. No, I don't have a fix for the CD problem.

Fix USB Device Not Recognized
I went through the biggest search to try and fix this issue. Connected my Vibrant on different computers(different OS's) and found not a single solution along with drivers. Tried different usb cables and nothing but the same error. Look inside the usb port of the phone.....ah ha!!! small amount of lint managed its way in there and stuck to the pins. I was able to charge so it never occurred to me up until last night when I wanted to put in a new ROM. I used a thumb tack and carefully cleaned the port( REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE PHONE BEFORE DOING THIS!!!)
Also make sure the cable didn't suck up some of the lint too. this happened to me too.
Good luck

My problem is that I cannot connect my Galaxy S II to computer. When I try to connect it only says "unknown device". I have tried with newest Kies and without Kies. With multiple computers with Vista and Windows 7 32bit. Also downloaded Samsung Galaxy S drivers manually from web but with no avail. And I have tried with Usb-debugging on and without it. I also tested USB-mass storage setting but it does nothing. Computer also says "unknown device" when I try to connect phone while in download mode.
The charging works btw.
When I connect the cable my phone just makes the normal sound but the mass storage android man newer appears to top tray. I have also made factory reset and cache delete from recovery but with no luck.
I would like to flash different rom with Odin but I cannot do that when the connection is not working. My current rom is official XXLPQ ics. The usb cable isn't the problem because I have tried with different cables which work normally with other phones.
Is the warranty repair only solution? Really wouldn't want to be without my Galaxy during the repair time.
Sounds like it's going to need a check over, if it wasn't for the fact you have tried multiple computers AND leads, as I had a similar problem but found it was down to my PC needing a fresh install.
Unless others with similar experiences have advice it doesn't sound good, as though pins 2, 3, or 4 have problems maybe, or that the board within the phone has bent up or down through rough handling/tug on the cable.
When did it start happening? I had a fright by tripping over the phone while plugged in, and ripped the plug out while launching the phone across the room. It broke the charger and thought I'd killed the port on the phone, but found if I propped the plug up and put weight on the phone it would connect, like this...

Might work if the board has got a whack like mine did.

As I mentioned earlier I have tried all that.
My SGS2 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting the usb with my computer. This is hapenning for quite a long time now.
I keep hearing the windows connect/disconnect usb sound when my phone is plugged in, making it unable to recognize the device.
Today, it finally didn't had this problem for a while, so I took my chance to get back to stock ROM (because I need to send my phone to Samsung for camera problems). So I flashed stock ROM with ODIN, but I encoutered a problem: it didn't get further than the boot animation.
When I tried to reflash, ODIN didn't recognize my phone anymore, just like before. When I plug in my SGS2 to my computer while on download mode, it just keeps reconecting the USB, so the device can't be installed.
Tried a different computer. It kept being connected, but that comp sucks and it couldn't recognize my phone at all. My own computer also has problems recognizing the SGS2, but also has the problem that it can't stay connected.
Things to know:
- Other usb devices do stay connected, it's just for my sgs2
- I've tried different USB hubs etc., reinstalling Kies, uninstalling drivers.
- It does keep charging the phone, even when the computer makes the disconnect sound. That makes it even weirder!
Basically I'm seriously out of clues how to revive my phone
I don't want to send it to Samsung, scared of losing warranty.
You guys are my last hope!
to start the ball rolling, YOU SHOULDNT BE connecting sgs2 to a HUB, thats probably the fault, second, have you tried a different usb lead or a different computer with the same lead to either verify if its the phone or lead at fault??
No one on here can answer your question because it sounds like a hardware issue, wire or hub or charger port, but it is an elimination process and only you can do that.
If you try everything and still get no joy, restore your pc to an earlier point, uninstall the samsung drivers and re-install them etc etc.
I very much doubt its a software problem tho, looking at what you tried already, lots of people use hubs, if youre flashing roms and your connected to a hub then ya play a dangerous game and risk soft bricking your phone, most of the time odin wont recognise your phone through a hub, same if ya usb lead is too long, itll charge but no data. always connect it directly to the pc usb 2 port.

Ow, I think I used the wrong word. I meant to say port instead of hub.. Translation fail there. So that's not the problem, I've put the cable directly into the USB port.
I think you are right about the hardware problem. I'm just not sure where the problem is. I only have one cable, so I can't test that atm. But like I said, the connection problem does NOT occur on another computer. It keeps the device connected (as an unknown device though).
So it's weird: it looks like a SGS2 hardware problem, but on the same time it has a different problem on a different computer. It's really confusing...
Thanks for the quick reply by the way

Then please explain me how I could ever do that when there is no working ROM on my phone. I'm stuck on the 'restore with Kies' screen, like I told in my post (yes, still). And how it will ever work with ODIN? It won't...
Now not any computer is connecting with my sgs2. It just doesn't show anything (not even unknown device). I'm going to try to buy a new cable. Is it needed to buy a Samsung cable? Because it's harder to find than just a regular usb to micro usb cable (and more expensive ). This is my last hope. When it's not working, I need to send it to Samsung.

You need to replace your usb board within your phone. New part can be found on ebay for around $10. It's a really simple task replacing it. No soldering or anything.
It's been well documented on these boards.

Hey guys,
Suddenly today my USB stopped working (only charge, no mass storage). So i thought that the device might be bricked so I tried following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=751265
But USB is not even recognized in FASTBOOT, so I dunno where to start. I'm thinking that it might be a hardware problem.
My problem is identical to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678512
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Bump
It once happen to me but afterwards I findout that it was a problem with my data cable.
I hope it might help you.

Happened to me too. Had to replace the USB board.
I have the same problem, searched the same forums but it did not work... tried with another laptop, tried with two other data cables, but still not working... I feel it must be a hardware problem...
Now for flashing ROMs, I remove my SD card and plug it directly into the laptop to save the ROM...

You may try and clean the USB-port on the Legend. It does accumulate quite a bit of dust over time and may prevent good contact.
I got a replacement unit after 15 months because of a broken camera and noticed that the usb cable fit much tighter and went in quite a bit deeper than on my old Legend.
A needle should work just fine. =)
I can't get my phone detected via usb from any device or computer. Weather in android, recovery or bootloader. The phone still charges fine however. The phone also will think there is a USB cable plugged into it when there isn't.
I don't know what to do to fix this, or if its even fixable. I've tried four computers and 3 different cables, along with removing and installing the drivers multiple times. Changing roms/kernels doesn't fix it, obviously its an issue beyond that since fastboot won't detect USB either.
Any help would be appreciated!
Get some canned air and blow it into the slot for a while. It sounds like there may be something conductive stuck in there. Maybe get a magnifying glass and look in there to see if you can see anything.
Tried blowing with compressed air and got my eyes all up inside there and nothing
Any luck with this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem
sounds like a piece got loose inside the phone and only the power parts of the usb slot are still attached which is weird im guessing just hardware failure.

Damn, was hoping i bricked the USB like I've read about the HTC Desire, was hoping to somehow reload/reinstall the driver.. I guess off to HTC to see what they can do.
Hi,
Having a problem since a few weeks with my s3.
Normally i could connect wiht my phone to any pc,, without any problems. Either it be unix, win, whatever...
Suddnely it stopped working, only thing that happens is charging when i connect it to my pc. Different cables tested, original one, etc..
Connecting it to different pc's resulted in a no go.. so it must be phone related.
No windows pop up, or anything!!
So I figured: Let's install a new rom.
Tried ultima 15 rom, got a different CM rom now (sentinel)... all to no avail.
Is it possible that this has something to do with my radio?
rom info:
android: 4.3
baseband: CEEMG2
Anyone have an idea what to do? Even ADB push ain't working..
See your identical post
I experienced the same problem when m using the Galaxy Nexus S But it was solved by using the app from play store named SD booster... In this app m just set the value of sd card to 1024 give root access and Boom my phone is connected as normal
If this not help then i seriously recommend you to replace the charging port of the mobile through samsung outlet
Go into developer settings, some ROMs may have different ways to get into develop er setting and after you get in make sure USB debugging is enable ^.^
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Usb debugging is not required for phone to pc connection see basic faqs and guides .
But as OP has ruled out drivers and cable that only leaves the phone so its worth trying .
Usual replies are
Drivers
Cable
Dirty USB Ports
Not connected to main-board usb port .
I had same issue with my Galaxy SII and when i took it to service center they said mother board needs to be replaced.
So after that SII was good as new.
Got same problem here.
phone is charging over usb , but no data connection (tried different usb cables, different usb ports, different pc etc) but nothing..
also.. tried in download mode and so (after reading forums..) but without success.
then i decided to dissasemble that phone and look, what's inside that beast
cleaned usb port (inside, with contact cleaner), resoldered all pins and etc..
reassembled it back to one piece again and still, no data connection, but only charging
so, here i am, what to do next ? change the usb port on motherboard ?
(visually, everything looks right, good solder points and etc.)
Thanks, Martin

if anybody interested:
i've got it working again :victory:
basically, the problem was the hard way (crap usb data connections on motherboard)
soldered new ways for data+ and data-, and now it's back alive again...
(pictures of ways in attachment)
Martin
see you fixed it already but a note to others :
try using usb port right on the motherboard instead of the case front panel usb ports.....connecting to the front usb ports didn't work for me on some roms, but the rear one always connected so I just have a long cable running out of the back to connect my phone and it works on all roms I've used so far
Nice work hani93, i unfortunately do not dare to desolder and solder this stuff
I've noticed another thing though which is weird!!
When i tried to charge my phone via the power charger (the ac one?), when i check my battery view it still says that i'm charging via USB.
I don't think this is correct, i thought it should say AC or something and when charging via USB port on pc it should display USB?
I think this might be one of the issues that it's also not popping up on the computer.
Anyone know what is causing this or someone can confirm that when charging via power supply it should say something else then USB?
Just confirming your question when charging by PC it says (USB) and when its charging from the Mains it says (AC).
hmmm... guess it must be a hardware issue then?
Either usb port or mainboard... christ...
open it up and cleaned the contacts a bit of the usb port...
Still not functioning..

try to go into Download mode (volDown+Home+Power) and then connect usb, same situation?(eg, no data connection to pc ?)
if nothing again.. try to clean usb port inside (where you plug usb cable), sometimes there is dust and etc. then it stops working.
also, how did you clean contacts on motherboard ? i suggest to take soldering iron with clean bit, and drag iron along the pins.
