Good morning!
It only just occurred to me yesterday, that the large touch screen of the NC would be great for a city building style game like AoE/Anno/Sim City.
I've already seen Anno on the Nintendo DS and iOS so we know the touch interface suits the RTS style of game, but I've not had any luck finding any similar games for Android (except maybe Sim City Metropolis which has generally terrible reviews).
So I was just wondering if anyone had come across some peaceful building sims that I could try out?

Haypi Kingdom looks like it could be interesting, but it won't let me create an account. It just tell me that my device is already registered to someone called jbryant187. Anyone else have this problem?
Are you on froyo? As i understood froyo randomise an imei number at startup. You can have someone else imei..

Haven't tried it on NC yet, but it's pretty much playable on Dell Streak.
I played Majesty on the NC, its actually really fun and works perfectly - it only has like 8 levels though. So you go through them pretty quickly.
I found one that has some promise, Townsmen 6. Free and paid versions available.

You can also run Warcraft 2 and Starcraft through stratagus. It doesn't have sound like it did on Windows Mobile (but maybe they'll fix it or someone will finally make a decent Android strategy game).

I play Paradise Island and Townsmen6.
Paradise Island is quite boring soon, since only thing is getting money and building new buildings.
Townsmen has more interest, since U must take care of your people.
Amazon was just giving majesty away free as part of there a free app a day promo. It runs well on my nook and its nice on a larger screen.
For any people who miss the old pc point and click adventure games like maniac mansion, Monkey Island 1-3, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, King's Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-5,Discworld 1 and 2, Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Broken Sword 1 and 2, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Gobliiins 1-3, The Legend of Kyrandia 1-3 etc.
There is an app that works on android that will let you play these right on your atrix get it here. http://www.scummvm.org/ then go grab the add ons found in the market.
This has been around for awhile but I wasn't sure how many people knew this actually worked on our phones. I've tested a good portion of these and most work. I even had 7th guest running on this at one point!! The only thing that was off slightly was the sound.

I have the PC version of the Day of the Tentacle and that's the one I'm using. I'm sure you can find the games in file-sharing networks.
I wish we could get old games like Myst, and Riven to work on this phone! Those games were the ultlimate in stragey/puzzle solving.... highly addicting!

Hmm.... Lots of games may be possible using this http://androiddosbox.appspot.com/ not sure how well it works or if it works at all on the atrix?? I'm gonna install and try it out though if this works that opens up a lot of possibilities for old pc games on android!!

ok so i found this game i used to love playing when i was a kid on my old commadore 64.
its a game called frenzy, and the idea of the game is to trap the worm thingy if "it is trapped in an area enclosed by the player's robot craft or if 95% of the screen area has been filled. The robot craft has two speeds and the score for filling in an area using only the slower speed is subject to a 2x multiplier. Chasers appear in higher levels which can collide with the player's robot craft, causing a life to be lost. The number of Leptons and Chasers increase as the levels progress, up to a maximum of five of each on the most difficult screens -- except for Levels 12 and 14, which have a smaller number of Leptons (and no Chasers) but the Leptons move much faster. The player obtains an extra craft on completing the third, sixth and ninth screens."( taken from wiki)
i am thinking of trying to make a simlar game . but not sure where to start, i'm guessing its not going to be that hard as the game is a 8bit game.
does anyone know where to start or can someone who knows about this help me. as i havent done this before but i'm a fast learner if someone has the patients to teach me .

i dont think you can get it on n64. i had it on my commodore 64 which was in the late 80's. and its only a 8bit game .
Sorry there's probably similar threads, and I've been looking around and getting a good idea of some Apps, but was hoping people could throw down there opinions here, and why they like their Apps ect. My last phone was an HTC Touch Diamond that I had for three years, It was a windows mobile 6 phone I believe. I've been blown away by how versatile and powerful the Note is comparatively.
I'm just looking for general purpose Apps really. A good replacement web browser that can utilize our larger screen and high resolution, someone was saying we can replace the stock samsung touch keyboard? That would be nice, any suggestions ect?
Also, any good strategy games? I haven't found many, but haven't had as much time to look as I'd like.

Absolutely. I've emailed the dev asking if he'd consider integrating other deal sites, such as Tanga and daily steals. He said he would look into it but is too busy with life to deal with total redesigns right now. His app is simple, smooth, and well designed. I love the idea of picking a site then getting what you normally see in woot watcher.
We've worked on a Daydream game called Oz Chicken Slayer, development took a bit less than a month, it was a bit of a trial as we already work in the VR space but on Oculus.

Hey this is really cool, thanks for sharing it. Now that I've taken a look at your website, I fell inspired to make a small VR project for daydream (a simple model with points that you can teleport too around it) but I simply don't have much time or enough knowledge with unity.
I'll be following some of the tutorials on the website and get back to you. Thanks for this, I've really wanted to develop a VR application.

So I've got the app to work on my phone, a simple app with a bunch of rings that you can fly through as a test. Now I've noticed a lot of lag with many complex shapes so I've turned down the shadow quality but it doesn't help much. So I was wondering if you knew how to bake shadows? Th only moving object in most of my products will just be the player so I don't need real-time shadows as the player does not need a shadow.
