Hi Everyone,I am new here so I am not quite sure how it works and where I am supposed to post.I am having some problems with my phone and I really appreciate if someone can help me out.My phone was running all perfect till the point I tried adding Reboot in power option.Now my mediascape does not show any music,video or pictures.Not only that but all musics apps are not showing the musics.But I can still play the songs from the folder using any apps except mediascape.I have contacted sony ericson and they said I might have done something to the license.Please someone help me out.
try reflashing your phone. connect it to pc companion or seus and repair it. although everything will ve deleted such as apps and so on.

Hi. Anyone knows some screen capture app working on 2.1 nordic update ??? I´ve tried so many and the´re all working wrong.

Thanks, but i don´t like (nor need) to connect the phone to the computer for that purpose.
I have the same, as soon as i connect the phone to the pc .. the phone goes all funny (reboot all the time) and if i take a screenshot it comes out all distorted, like the resolution is wrong ( i tried myphoneexplorer, droid explorer, shootme .. ) everything i could find.
pls help me
Why don't you just the Android SDK??, it comes bundled with a tool to take screenshots amongst other things.
Google android SDK screenshots, I'm sure you'll find an easy guide in the first results.
I know that and have SDK installed since i have the phone (July, this year). But, as i´ve said before, i don´t like to connect the phone for just take a capture screen. Was not needed on 1.6, wanna know what happened on 2.1 with this.

Application ShootMe takes screenshots by either shouting on phone, or by shaking. Though for me screens were weird, but you might get lucky.

Nope, that´s one of the half dozens apps i´ve tried, and it fails.
I´m thinking on Sony as a "guilty", don´t know what they´ve changed, maybe LCD density or something similar...
Same problem for me. I've tried to take screenshot with DDMS and drocap2 but I always get a fuzzy image...

this is my first post ever. I've been following XDA developers for many years when I was still using Windows Mobile PDA's and later smartphones. This Forum has helped me with so much.
But now Im facing a problem which I cant find a solution for. Maybe this has been solved in another thread already, then I'm sorry that I must have overlooked it.
I purchased and Xperia X10i about two weeks ago. Everything worked fine out of the box.
Then I updated the software via the PC connection to 2.1
Before I of course backedup everything.
After the update I restored my backup and everything seemed to work proper.
Yesterday when I tried to access the Market place the screen popped up and it showed me the loading message but it simply didn't load. The screen flashed a few times then the app was forced shut.
I searched on several forums and followed the instructions posted by people with similar problems.
1. It was suggested that I perform a Hardreset. This didnt work through the method by pressing the left and right key simultaniously and the pressing and releasing the power button. For whatever reason my phone just boots normally
2. Factory reset through the menu: Settings > SD card & Phone storage: This option is not even present after the software update
3. Deinstalling Market update: I deinstalled the updates for the market application but that didnt change anything
4. Using the update function of the PC software to repair the update:
I performed another update through the repair function this seemed to make matters worse. Now when I go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications I cant even see the other installed application except one UEFA something.
Funny enough everything else on the phones seems to work well.
Details about the network.
I live in Kenya and use Safaricom as my carrier. There were no issues before I updated
I work in South Sudan and use Vivacell. I dont use Vivacell for data but rather use my wireless connection. Up until the update and even shortly afterwards that worked just fine.
Im really confused. Don't know what else to try.
Should I root the device and install Froyo rather?

Update for point 4.
Point 4. was simply my own stupidity. I had a filter set wrong. never the less the market problem remains
using the application from AppPit instead at the moment. This one works fine and donwloads and installs have no issues.
Would love to use the marked though because bit has way more apps which I need. AppPit is a bit limited

Try removing updates on Market.
Hey guys! I have this really weird issue, each time I try to play Stardunk or Gun Bros, the phone would crash. The LED light starts flashing pink, there's a crying smilie face with the message simply saying the phone has crashed and that is saving a log to the SD card and that the battery should not be removed.
It also says that for more information, to visit https:// wiki.sonyericsson.net/androiki/c/ which brings me to a dead-end on any browser I try.
I've cleared the cache, re-install the apps and tried moving them back and forth between the phone and the SD card (32GB, class 4). It also happened with the original SD card that came with the phone. I also didn't install any apps until updating to 2.3.3 and then rooting 4.0.A.2.330.
So far only those games are giving me that problem but I'm going to check if more apps do the same, any suggestions? Is anyone else going through the same?

dont use pirated software?
Well, I didn't know that just rooting the stock firmware and downloading free games from the market would mean I'm using "pirated" software... I just wanted to confirm if the problem was my phone or if other users with this phone are having the same issue... But thanks anyway.
I tried over 60 apps and games over the week and only those two games crash the phone. I'll try un-rooting and see if it helps.

If more Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro (International, SK17i) users have the same problem, then perhaps we can make a list of apps that don't work on our phones, it would also benefit Mini and Active owners.
Gun Bros didnt make my phone crash just didnt start up. It aint working on our devices.

I have a problem with my phone. I cant set any ringtone to it. Whether its MP3, or from system ringtones, it always plays "its" own ringtone.
I got phone only yesterday and upgraded it from 2.3 to 4.0 (official upgrade) Everything wen fine.
I dont know what do with it, i looked through apps, if something doesnt have to do with it, but i think not.
Do you see any solution? Is there app that sets ringtones?

there are a lot of ways by which your problem can be resolved,
but unfortunately, almost all of them involve rooting (which voids warranty).
I'd recommend talking to the customer care (as you only purchased the phone yesterday)
or try to find if your phone allows you to revert back to your original android version.
[also try this: go to the music player, hold on a song till the options appear, then select "set as ringtone". that might work]

Yesterday i was too eager to wait patiently for responses of people here on forum, so i tried to resolve the problem.
I tried as you said set ringtone through music player - it worked for few minutes, but after that it changed back to default ringtone.
But after 4 factory data resets i got to know where the problem was :laugh:
Everything was OK until i loaded backup from huawei app -> then the ringtone started making problems.
So after 4th reset i didnt load backup and everything is working fine. Might help other people with this sort of problem.
Anyway, i dont know why it was happening, because after i noticed its happening after i load backup, i didnt load system settings -> just contacts and SMS' and still there was problem. Weird, but fortunately everything is fine now.

Lets start like this. I have Motorola Atrix 4g, Till this point, more then a year, I've don't have any troubles with him. It's not rooted and have the official software 2.3.4. The phone gets Force Close on "com.motorola.home" app and what I've learn from 6-7h. In the web this problem is from Google search update. When I turn my Atrix on it stuck on Lock screen and I can't do anything (The tuchscreen is working, because when I call my phone I can answer it)
When I connect it to the PC I can open my SD Card and.. Copy paste files..
From what I've read in the web I need to Restore my smartphone.
Here it comes the little big problem: I don't have backup for my contacts or anything else... And because I've using Motorolas contacts, not the Google (HUGE MISTAKE ON MY SIDE) and now I will lose them
The Q is
Is it there a program for PC which can transfer my contacts from the SD Card and put them on the PC.
And yes of course if you have idea how to make the really big problem to go away I will be thankful for ever
So I can do nothing on the phone and need to get backup my contacts...
I hope I don't Bore you alot whit my big thread, but I thing is good to provide more information

reinstall the sbf of your firmware and do a full wipe in data, this is something that went wrong when you updated.(or unlock and give you phone some sweet love. lol)
OR, try to install a new launcher using ADB.
