I've read some about this through Google but no real concrete solutions that I found. I have 1.7, and thanksvto DJS, I uninstalled volboost from my text file and reflashed. The free version works great. The paid version does the download but no, installation. I did a clean dalvik cache, cleaned a few programs, email, Internet cache lol. I have 4 gb on the sd card and 1 gb on the internal card that is free.
I keep thinking there must be a file that is installed that I can run the free but not the paid.
Any suggestion?
Also as a secondary Q. Are most users moving available programs to sdcard instead of the internal?
Thanks.
Bump......just hoping someone can help me.
Volboost
Sorry I can't be of much use re extra storage, but I was interested that you mentioned about removing the volboost hack. Does this help gameloft games? Which game on free version could you run? I am having no trouble with assassins creed, ashphalt and dungeon, but I am keen to try others like nova, modern combat or gangsters...
Thanks
Ok, I solved the problem. Since 1.7 has factory reset and I am expecting a 32gb sdcard from Kingston in the coming days, I chose this method. Asphalt, paid version this time installed and ran fine. No problem. I am assuming there was just files on the internal sdcard that kept the install from happening.
I was told from DJS, that possibly the volboost option was the culprit for gameloft games. At that time I couldn't even get the free version to install. Deleted this from the text file and reflashed. The free version finally installed and ran. Hope this helps.
If anyone has advice on moving apps2sd? I think I am going to do this as it seems logical and would save some internal spaces. I guess since they are both sdcards, its not that big of a deal, so memory (2gb vs. 32gb) would be the biggest factor.
Thanks.

I have looked around the forums and other forums to fix this problem but nothing is working. I bought 9mm, Asphalt 6, Fast Five, Nova 2, Modern Combat 3 and got a cracked version of Shadow Gun.
I managed to download the data for Fast Five and Nova 2 but the data for the other games can't be downloaded because of the error. I have cleared out my SD Card, changed the SD card, Used Titanium BackUp (still got the same problem and force close) and downloaded the games data on my PC, cleared the games data/cache on 'Manage Applications'. I have done all these things and I still can't download the data.
I have a rooted Xperia Arc S (LT15i) which I bought just to play these games and now I can't even download the data.
Can someone please help me?
Maybe your phones internal memory is full because of the Data of the games you downloaded!
SD Card's space doesn't matter when your downloading data of a game.
If the internal memory is full, you can move the data to your SD Card by using This App.
OR
You can swap your SD Card Memory With You Internal Memory.
You can search the forum for this!

Isn't there anything else I can do, I have 149MB internal memory and I'm afraid of damaging my phone with the Internal and SD swap
Download GL To SD app from market ( requires rooted device )!

I managed to install Asphalt 6 after a few errors, and I somehow installed Shadowgun flawlessly but MC3 and 9mm are still refusing to download and PlusAndroid that app is not compatible with my Arc S

Sorry, no other method that I'm aware of!
Hey guys, I have a few things I was hoping someone can help me with;
1. how can I set my apps to be stored in the external SD card? I went to the settings on the phone but there's no option to change the storage location. I know I can just drag files into the SD card but I don't see the files for the apps (ex: wild blood which is over 2gb or order and chaos)
2. being that this is a quadcore phone with 2gb ram, I expected to run the ds emulator near full speed but it's running at the same speed as it did on my galaxy s2. I even had the quadcore enabled in the settings on the phone. Is this lag an issue of the emulator itself? the N64 emulator runs smoother on the optimus g, why doesnt the DS emulators? any suggestions?
--thank you.
The addtional data that large games download must stay on the internal sd card. If you follow my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2056662 you can move the data to the external sd but trick the system into thinking it's on the internal.
Native app2sd hasn't worked in android since honeycomb. Google is really trying to get rid of external sd cards in android. However, if you read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022773 mainly post 5 and 10 you can set up link2sd which works perfectly.
You can use both options together or separately. Both require root.
EDIT: Since it took forever to find the second link, I added the information about Link2SD to my main thread.
Yes, I have used the above mod to move game data to the external, wild blood included.
Works great. Read the thread.
I have not used apps to SD, as the apps themselves don't take up much room.
As for the emulator, it runs very slow for me too.
It is still being developed. It is known to be slow, It isn't the phone, it is the emulator.
oh alright. Thank you both for helping me
Is there anyway to move apps from internal memory to SD card? Games like NFS take up a huge amount of storage and I'm running out of space. :silly:

I used to use DirectoryBind on my Xperia ZL while it was on 4.1.2. It needs root and works perfectly. I'm sure it will work on your tablet as well but if you have upgraded to 4.2.2 then you will need another solution.
I just bought my Xperia Tablet Z and went with the 32GB model for exactly this reason. People recommended the 16GB version because you can add an SdCard anyway to compensate but they don't seem aware that games that have a big game data such as NFS, Spiderman, Batman + many others will suck that 16GB dry and cannot be moved easily to the SdCard even though many apps on the Play Store claim they can. Every app I tried was a fail except for DirectoryBind which can be found on XDA by searching a bit.
Good Luck!!
Thanks a lot!!! I used Directory Bind with my S2 - never thought it can be used with Tablet Z!!!

I dont know about you guys but I have alot of large games on my play account, games like GTA3 and Dead Space. The only problem is once you get 2 or 3 installed on your device you run out of space! even transfering most data to your SD card I would run out of space really quick. That was until I found GLto SD
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp
This thing works perfect and brought me from 400MB of storage back up to 3.4 gigs.
if your having space issues, check it out... you will thank me! :good:
Okay so I use my Galaxy Tab E literally to play games.. I rooted yesterday with the help of the fantastic guide on this forum. The TWRP one. I only decided to root because I wanted to run the games via my SD card. So I again used this forum to find a way to do it and found someone talking about a thing called foldermount. So I did that and all the data is on my SD card yet it is still taking up the space on the internal side even though I've been through the file system and cannot find it. So I am wondering if there is something I can do to free up the space. The games I am playing are Fifa Mobile and Real Racing.. I had to remove Asphalt 8 and Angry Bird and a bunch of other stuff. I even disabled half of the crap google downloads into my tablet and uninstalled updates on almost all of the apps on there.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :good:
