I am unable to download the new required update of the app, which is 1.6.1.
Would someone be kind enough to upload the Sirius apk for 1.6.1, it would be much appreciated? Thanks

Did you find the 1.6.1 apk? Closest I've gotten is 1.6 it seems. <feel free to ignore> I'm in Canada, I have a US subscription to SiriusXM and have since well before the merger; however, due to the licensing/region issues Google's Android Market won't allow me to download the Sirius 1.6.1 APK.</feel free to ignore>. Sucks.

Same situation as you still looking, but as of now, am looking at Sirius Canada as they have all of the stations I listen to and almost done my free trial with the android app so far so good, but I agree, still sucks! Hope someone can help us out...
Here it is. Hope it works for all channels, since it says it is now location aware for certain stations. Wonder what that's about. Also, get market enabler from the market. That way you can fake where you are so you can download from the US markets.
Thanks but unfortunately that is app version 1.0.0 and I am unable to update in Market as they are locking me and others out due to our location - I have used fake GPS and disabled, but they are taking location from Android Market login, which was done previously.
Anyone with 1.6.1 apk would be helping out a bunch of us unfortunates
Yes, I have a US sub and was able to install the 1.1.0 version of the app, but now it wants me to upgrade before I can listen on my Cdn android phone (Optimus One).
Does anyone have the latest version of the apk file they can post?
Thanks
Trust me, you do not want 1.6.1. Constantly freezes and forces close. Even when you manually close the app under running apps, it forces you to restart your phone because the app will hang on the "checking for updates" screen. Absolutely horrendous.

Could someone just copy the apk from their /system/app directory and attach it for us. Please. Thank you.
It was updated to 1.6.2 a couple days ago. One of the specific fixes was for the "searching for updates" error: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sirius&hl=en
Jim, any way you can up 1.6.2 apk for some of your fellow xda'ers? thx
I need it also, can't find it anywhere.
I would also appreciate it if someone could upload a copy of the latest apk file.

Also does this APP work on WiFi? Coz right now, I'm using my carriers 3G network and works fine..
EDIT Apr 12 2012
This little hack is no longer needed to get At Bat Lite to work on CM.
You still need Fake GPS to set your location. Set "Allow mock locations" in Androids settings.

It installs fine from the market on any tab. But with most tabs you will not get the TV icon to watch live video and archived games unless you edit the build property.
I installed a nightly a couple of days ago which reset the 4 lines from the OP back to default. And MLB.TV live streaming still works.
So looks like you could change the device in build properties, reboot, run MLB At Bat Lite, go back to original build prop., reboot, and At Bat live streams should still work.
Model must be stored in the At Bat confg I guess.
Is a Premium subscription really necessary?
Do you really need the MLB TV Premium subscription to get this working? I'm more apt to pay $15 for the At Bat subscription than I am to pay $125.
If anyone's gotten it to work without the Premium subscription, can you please let us know how you've gone about doing so?
Thanks!
You cant watch live games with the $15 at bat app except for the free game of the day.
at bat lite only works with a sub

I was looking more for the radio feed and the replay ability. My workplace tends to frown on people watching video feeds when they're supposed to be working.
I didn't need to edit anything on CM 9 official... Downloaded Lite, logged in with my MLB.com account and can listen and watch games perfectly. I am a premium subscriber.

Good to know thx!
MLB must have changed some things.
That must be why it still worked for me after installing a nightly. And my build prop got reset.
can't get by location check
I almost get at.bat working. I have CM9 installed on the touchpad, and log in with my MLB membership, and I have a premium account. I signed up just for a month to test this stuff.
At.Bat installs fine, when I try to view a live game, it doesn't get by the location check, says it can't figure out where I am and doesn't let me watch. When I look at details of the app it says it just checks cell info and GPS info, which of course doesn't exist.
When I view through the Android browser, I ask for the browser to show me the full non-mobile website, then it lets me view video because it checks my location via wifi.
I need to tell the app to use wifi to check my location. How would I do that?

O thats is interesting!
I thought they use the IP from the tab.
I have the app "Fake GPS" installed.
I set my location to Chicago and I got blacked out from the game.
Set it back to where it was, rebooted and wasn't blacked out.

I can confirm this. I just installed the CM9 nightly from the other night and I didn't have to to anything special to watch games on my TP.
Thanks guys, fake-GPS did the trick.
I have a few questions about Fake GPS. I have it installed and have it set to China. I live in San Diego, so I opened the At Bat app and tried to watch the Padres game but it says it's blacked out because I live in the zone.
How are you guys getting Fake GPS to work? Do I need to not use the At Bat app but instead watch the game through my browser?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
After installing fake GPS try clearing data on the At Bat app and logging back in. I needed to do that once

You need to watch through Atbat lite only.
You might need to set "Allow mock locations" in Android's settings.
Also, you may need to reboot after changing location in Fake GPS.
I tried to buy this app in the store and it says not compatible with my device? Why the hell not? This has me quite upset, I was hoping to listen to games while its slow at work. Grrrr......

Nope, shouldn't matter. I'm on ICS. Find the free version APK and sideload it, and then it gives you the option of logging into your MLB account to get the audio streams.

Thanks, I will have to learn how to do that for future games I guess, I'm at work typing on the phone right now so....
I have the free version on my phone, that one works. It's when I tried to upgrade that it won't.
Hey, it's a thread I have something meaningful to contribute to. I just got this working today. I have At Bat 12 Light, but I had to set lcd_density back to 320 to get it. Then I found I couldn't stream video. So I did some googling and learned how to spoof the phone model. See, MLB only allows video streaming on pre-approved devices. Rezound isn't, but galaxy nexus is. There are 4 (I think) build.prop entries that need to be changed. Unfortunately I can't find the link at the moment, but you shouldn't have too much trouble searching various keyword permutations.
Wait, is anyone able to buy the MLB at bat app that costs 14.99? This is the one I can't download because it says it's not compatible with the Rezound. The "lite" version isn't the problem...

So I just paid $20 for the annual subscription to MLB.com, do I also have to pay $$$ for the app to listen to games?
No....
If you paid and have a MLB account, you should be good to go.
I have the 24.95 sub which includes the video (but doesn't currently work on the Rezound, just the radio audio feeds work).
I downloaded the free "lite" version of MLB and just put in my log and pass and it works fine on unrooted stock GB.
To be sure that I wasn't losing any MLB access or features (outside of the live tv feed) I also put the "Lite" version on my Dinc (which does work with the Live video feeds) and it worked fine...
So you want the MLB lite app.
I personally went to the MLBTV website and subscribed there.... Got my log and pass and then downloaded the app from Google Play.

The ROM absolutely does matter. There are several apps that I cannot reload on CleanROM 4.2 from either pushing from the Play website or downloading in the Play store app. In the latter under "My Apps" it actually tells you it isn't compatible when click the app and go to its page.

Google Maps only half-a offline
Google Maps does now let you download areas of the map for offline use, but you cannot initiate an route when you do not have data of some kind.
You might want to try the Copilot GPS app. It is a free teaser that lets you download maps for one region for free. US and Canada are considered one region and you have the choice of a few states grouped together, the whole US (1.2gig), Canada, or US and Canada together (1.3gig). This will give you a moving map with your current position and route highlighted. You will not get voice prompts, Automatic rerouting, and such. Those features are available in their for pay versions.
I agree with copilot. Also sygic is an awesome app, with no data connection necessary. Costs $20, but well worth it. It uses tom-tom maps that you download.

Does anyone know where I can find the latest version of Music Junk? Mine just keeps saying "Network Error" and all the searches I have done are really old posts. Can someone help me please???
Looks like it might be gone for good since the Facebook and Twitter page has been pulled....
I've been wondering the same, but I guess it really is finally gone for good... which blows because it was the best app for downloading music, hands down.
After posting my last, I installed Music Junk 4.3 on my phone again and opened it immediately to try it out again. I searched for music and it actually worked. I downloaded a couple of songs and everything, but then it stopped working after trying another search. Not sure what this means, but hopefully something positive...
Can you post a link for 4.3? I couldn't find it anywhere. I found other versions, but not that one. Pretty Please?
I have this problem with 4.3 I also tried to uninstall & reinstall. I tried 4.2 as well with no luck. This is typical of them when they change versions, but I haven't seen a 4.4 version out there...

I did last night, randomly... decided to install it again and try it. The first search worked and I was able to download several songs. After that, no such luck. I've been getting network error ever since.
I remember long time back (HTC hero days) music junk used to have some files, that used to pull data from these music websites, that used to get outdated. hence, the new versions would have the new files and we would not get the network errors...
If we can get a developer to look into some recent music junk versions and look into the changes made, we might be able to get it working again.

The thing is that music junk was the only app that showed the bitrate of each song. And it worked! The quality of songs was amazing.
The thing is that there is a very easy fix for this Network error... We just need a developer to look into it.

I agree, with Rolle you are at the mercy of whatever is available bit rate wise. I have had good results so far, sometimes CD 44.1 quality or near, sometimes its complete crap. No way 4.3 was working for me this month now i get network error why i love this app. Any one know if there is an update like 4.4 or am alternative app out there?
I'm using v 3.0.4, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The trick is i have to press search a few times, i get the "network error'' the first tries but eventually it loads the search page. I get the error far more times when im using the network than through wi fi. But once it goes through i click on the song and downloads on the first try.
