Wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem. This is with the stock Android Froyo Gallery. It is by far the smoothest gallery available and runs like a dream when it works, however, I have found that now it goes back to the folders listing whenever I rotate the nook to change from portrait to landscape.
Same here 1.1

Figured it out. There are a couple different APK's out there. check yours and find the other one that has a different file size. the one called FROYO will not work.
Can u attached it here?

I know this is an old thread but for anybody having problems I've not had any issues with this .apk running on my autonootered 1.1 nook color.
droidforums.net/forum/droix-x-hacks/62876-froyo-3d-gallery-droid-x. html
I installed directly with root explorer and noted that app didn't show in the launcher until after restarting (I'm using stock launcher). I'm currently running this gallery side by side with the stock one as well with no issues.
Hope this helps somebody. This gallery is a hell of a lot better than the stock one for sure!! I'm just to lazy to completely replace the stock one lol.

May be just me, but I just downloaded the latest 4.3 update to the dolphin browser and it broke pinch to zoom on my nook color.
Just a heads up to those of you running dolphin.
Downgraded to the 4.2 version at this site:

Which device did you choose from the pulldown? And thanks for the find..I noticed the problem.

Yep same problem here

Thanks for posting this. Worked great. It was killing me trying to browse the web without pinch to zoom.
Just updated and it broke. Huge thanks for the link! Samsung nexus s as noted above version works.
Restored v4.2 from Titanium Backup. Gotta love that app!

You guys should read the release notes. It says nook color useres don't download as it breaks the pinch zoom.
I didn't notice it in the release notes, whoops.
However, they provide this handy link to 4.2 to downgrade!

I don't think that was there when the update was first pushed to the market. I'm pretty good about reading the change log before updating. I bet that the note was added after the problem was discovered.

I downloaded the 4.2 apk from the above link, and tried to install it from the download directory. I got an error saying that installing downloaded apps isn't supported. So I tried to copy it to the dolphin directory, but I couldn't find it under /system/apps. What's the dorectory for dolphin called, and if I copy the file there, will it install?
I miss my pinch to zoom!

Go into the nook color tools, turn on "allow non-market apps" install with astro adb or what ever you method of choice is.
Knew I could count on xda to find the fix for this

make this browser default
I have my nook rooted and am not using a launcher pretty much stock with tons of apps loaded. when I click the quick launcher semi circle on the bottom of the screen I would like this browser to be the default one that opens when I hit "web" has anyone tried this or even cares. I use root explorer and have tried all different ways to successfully do this with no sucess.
Get thee to the marketplace and search for "Default Browser Selector". Works for me!
But the release notes a re a little ctyptic. It says, "not to upgrade for pinch problems" which could be read as not to upgrade to FIX a problem. Not because it causes a problem.

I was wondering if anyone out there uses crunchyroll on their Nc. Whenever I pick a video to stream it gives me a good old force close. I'm on custom nookie froyo...thanks
Edit- oh yeah the question, is anybody able to get this to work on any variation of the nc?
It works great om my nooter based default firmware (2.1). I am sorry if you are having issues with the app.

Try using titanium back up and wipe out the data then sing in again also you have to be at a certn level of memberships to view on android device but yeah im enjoying

The update over the weekend allowed it for all members to be able to use the app. I tested same release on my Evo and it was all good, but I'm looking for some 7" goodness (thats what she said). Oh, and I tried an uninstall/reinstall and titanium wipe, still no go...think I'm going to jump over to CM7 and HC to give those a test
Hey Magicalsleeper,
Wondering if you had any luck yet?
I'm also on nookie froyo on my NC and like you crunchyroll fc'ed on me.
It runs fine on my Samsung Moment phone, which is also running a 2.2 rom.
Once I figure out how to go back to stock on my NC, I'm going to try running it on plain nooter like Matarick.
Yes, the brand new Market apk that I found on the general apps and games forums is working
It's quite nice I must say (lolWP7ui)
Just install as a normal app.
Make a backup of the original first via Titanium backup just in case!
It is a bit laggy at times though :/
I downloaded the new market this morning from the Samsung Galaxy S2 (I move to that phone in August.) forum and it works good. Like you say, a little laggy, but looks so much better.
I like this.

I usually choose speed over polished GUI. Not this time though.
yes works well looks very nice
I'm probably gonna switch back to the old one...
It's way to laggy q_q
Agreed, looks nice but to laggy on my wildfire however on my Galaxy tab it is fine so good work google! I do like the flicking to switch between different categories similar to the google+ app
Market Looks Gr8...
It looks very nice, and it works fine.
Thanks!
Old (2.3.6) Market for those of you who want to downgrade and didn't make a backup.
(extracted from Ruymanca v7.2 system/app)
I don't seem to have any lag (compared with a Nexus S) unless the images are still loading.
Well yes, that's true, but I still prefer speed over eye candy :/
Link is offline. Can anyone upload it on xda?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Thank you for that, uploaded as attachment.
@nejc121
Is your version comes from WF (Sense - auto update) or just copied from another source and you did not know at what resolution is? I installed from the other site and works terrible, maybe if we have apk from automatic updates it will work better?
It came from another source.
And I don't think the WF will ever get this market....
It would lag too much.
It is far to laggy and fc every time. I used it. Links good when it worked so went back to old one thanks for the uploaded

Not necessary. Even backup of old one is not necessary.
You can just uninstall the updates for market to get back to the original one anytime.
[Thinking everyone will be flashing the newer market as installing from apk file, and not added to the customrom.zip and flashed].
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Seriously, why is everyone saying this is laggy? Once the images have loaded maybe 4 seconds at the most the market is smooth. Are you not overclocked? I would like to see the effects with JIT enabled too, however I am using a sense based ROM (wilpuzzle).
Don't seem to have any lag loving the new market
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
Well I like it! It`s better than the old one. Not as laggy as you said.
Has anyone had success getting this to run properly? I installed the apk and it starts up fine, but once i enter a folder and start scrolling right through the thumbnails, eventually, once i get very deep into the folder, i get a force close. It doesnt happen with folders containing lesser quantities of images though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Quickpic is far better than the stock one. I would prefer the asop one but quickpic will do until then.
Thx for the heads up on quickpic. Great app! Wish i knew about it earlier.

In my first post I posted when I joined this website I asked about a camera app for cm7 that was like the stock vibrant camera app. I now want to know, after some info given to me in that post, what are the best camera apps that can be flashed, by rom manager or odin, and are compatible with cm7 that closely resemble or are nicer looking than the stock 2.1 camera. I think my biggets thing is just that the 2.1 cam looks like it takes the whole phones screen rather than cm7 which has a black line at the bottom which makes the camera look smaller. Again any and all help welcome and thanks in advance
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Actually you could really just take any 3rd party camera app and push the .apk to the directory of system/app/ with root explorer. The app will then become a system app. You don't neccesarily have to flash it via Odin or CWR.
Sent from my SGH-T959 (Samsung Vibrant)
Ok thanks so my new question is if I was to rip the camera.apk app with root explorer and replace it in cm7 would I keep the 2.1 camera? I know you can do it to remove or add apks to roms but I didnt know if the firmware versions would be an issue (ex 2.1 cam on 2.3.7)
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Although it should work, I'm not 100% as I've never tried it. So make sure you're play it safe and do a backup... I would suggest you do a backup in CWR (or a Nandroid Backup) just in case as you can never be to safe. Plus I wouldn't delete the 2.1 camera.apk, just move it to another location like to your sd card. This way if the CM7 camera doesn't work you can just switch it back with the original one.
Ok thanks for the info im actually gonna try it sometime today ill be sure to post if it works or not

Alright, hope everything works out for you.
Well flashing the apk from 2.1 on cm7 or the miui rom(forgot which one) didnt work I liked the miui one but it didnt have an app drawer and the controls were a little bit weird but I like some of the stuff. I guess the mods can close this now I figure I cant flash the old camera anyone who reads this and finds out how to do please pm me. Thanks for the help you guys
