Leave on finger on the BACK button.
Now Hold POWER button and MENU (center) buttons together for 3 seconds
With finger still on BACK, connect to computer with SEUS open
Click repair phone/reinstall, continue, continue,
It should start downloading firmware, and says release BACK button
If this doesn't work first time, try again and again until you do it right - it will work.

Thanks man ... but i dunno how 2 use those applications ... yes i am a noob .. i had the xrecovery on my phone .. and i pressed on the format system and every thing was gone ... =/ ... now am waitin a friend he's a pro .. he might be able 2 fix it .. if not ... we'll talk ... thanks man .. ill try that for now ..

Snap.. Xrecovery resides in System.. so I guess formatting it would have wiped that too.. (in the original X-recovery threads they warn not to do that on the X10 version of xrecovery) A couple of ways to fix it tho using Bin4ry's Flashtool or with SEUS (I would go for Flashtool) no biggie.. the little mini's and Pro's are highly resilliant little critters, I have stuffed mine up so many times.. boot loops etc, never anything flashtool can't fix.

Dude .. SEUS doesnt have the reinstall software thing .. unfortunately .. and the FLASHTOOLS doesnt recognize my phone .. cause its OFF .. =/

i dunno how 2 flash it .. i downloaded the software .. nd put it in the firmware FILE .. but the phone still wont connect even after i hock it up 2 the pc ... it tells me 2 connect the phone and enable USP debugging or however ..

You seem 2 be a Great man right there ... if i can get an advanced help from u .. it would be GREAT ! .. cause i dunno how 2 flash the phone .. FLASHTOOLS asks me 2 connect the phone and enable USP debugging .. even though its connected .. but the phone wont even go on .. ?? what shall i do .. ?

Did you let the battery in the phone drain down to empty? if you did you may need to leave it plugged into the charger for a few hours to get some juice in it..
you need to have the phone drivers on the computer too (have you connected it with PC companion or SEUS before now? if so then you will already have the drivers installed, lucky you
Also check you have the right files in the firmware folder (are you using the .sin files or the .ftf file? I always use the .sin files and never have problems)
When the flashtool asks you to connect the phone..
With the phone NOT connected to USB reboot the phone (if its a mini and you can't remove the battery) hold down the power and center button for 3-4sec.. (thats like pulling the battery)
When the phone is OFF (or between reboots) Hold down the back button as you plug the phone into USB. (that should start it in flash mode)
And keep trying, I have heard some people have tried about 5-10 times before they got it flashed.. (I always get it first try but then perhaps I am just lucky)

Even if you have "the lastest software installed" you can reinstall it.

The new flash tool 0.2.5, will flash both 1.6 and 2.1. It works a little different, you will need to read through 1st.
ive tried the new flash tool and the old. neither work. The old one flashes but same problem but new one wont even let me select the firmware to flash so i cant even try it out properly. and sues just lets me exit it doesnt let me repair like usual

1. Try PC companion.
2. Read this guide.
You need to create the ftf file from the sin files, under advanced see bundle creation.
Read the how to.
pc companion wont work as I need to have usb storage but my phone wont even turn on. I have created the ftf files and now flashing, hopefuly it works.
still the same . could it be that the cable got disconnected half way through the process? sorry i forgot to mention this. My brother pulled it out. am i doomed?

No you are not doomed. Calm down
1. Repair using SEUS (even if it says you have the latest software, reinstall it)
2. If that does not work, try PC companion.
3. If that does not work then use the flash tool. You can use the old version if the new one is not working out for you.
Before you do all of the above, take out the battery and wait 10 seconds. Then, reinstall the battery and try the SEUS. Good luck!

OK. Then try the older version of the flash tool. You can find it here.
Does it also say install? If so, press that button. If that doesn't work install PC Companion and try that method.
thank you very much everyone for the help. Its finally working. I used the flash unbrick and its fixed im so happy i thought that my money went down the drain.

my phone kept on restarting even when i flashed it wid flashtool, then i used seus to flash it. n after the process got over, i unplugged my phone n pressed d powe button. it vibrated as it always does when it starts bt screen didnt turn up. so i removed d battery for few seconds n started d phone again. dis tym it vibrated as it always did n after 10 secs it started continuously vibrating continuously until i removed d battery. dis happened again n again. so i flashed it again wid flashtool bt same poblem exists. plzzzzz help :'(
DON'T KEEP FLASHING WITH FLASH TOOL THEN!
PEOPLE KEEP DOING THINGS LIKE THIS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THEIR DOING
Now connect the phone to SEUS and reflash stock Rom, I bet phone will be fine.
Edit: also ensure your battery has over 50% charge before connecting to update service. Just leave on charge for a while even if it keeps restarting.

Did your X10 break mechanically?

install take battery out of phone.
select repair and choose your x10 model and follow the prompts. do not plug usb cable and battery until it tells you to.
now put in battery and hold down back button and plug usb in and hope it locks into flash mode. If it works the softwaree will repair your loader and install default rom and you'll be good to go.
Did you overdrive the cpu at all?

There's absolutely no reason why SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE SHOULDN'T WORK!
There must be something your doing wrong.

Ok..been there.only difference being my x10 continuously vibrated when put it to charge. And never started.
Here is what I suggest.
1. Your x10 battery must be very low by now as u did multiple flashing. Take battery out for few min. Then put it in and keep phone for charging for couple of hours.even if green led doesn't light up.
2. Download SEUS not the pc suit. And install the firmware again.
3. If it doesnt help. Again run seus..and this time KEEP back button pressed for complete process.

SEUS bricked my phone.. its nt starting after updating from seus... i cnt boot into xrec mode
I ever got into ur shoe. My phone will just vibrate n green led on let me check my old post. Flashtool n seus wont do any good.

I felt what people who bricked their X10i went through. Personally i bricked my X10i just 20minutes out from the box (package) I spent whole night reading to unbrick it. lol. So, here it is. Im just trying to help. i did a big mistake first i rooted my xperia 10mini and use 2.2 rom then i try to recover my phone in original version 2.1 . When i try and restart my phone and press back button it's goes to recovery mode not automatically recovered so i delete from c drive recovery.tar file and two more file now my phone is stuck on lobo of android doll. What to do i son't know please help me my phone is going to die.
Easy get seus and reflash your phone stock or boot into recovery ,,, using charging phone power on phone unplug charger use a back up ,,if you can't start again rember to do back ups

I had the same issue it restarts by itself n go into looping, remove the battery place it back, connect ur phone to SEUS by holding back button and plugging the USB

If your recovery (xrecovery or clockwordmod) works fine, what about removing your SD and plug it to a PC in order to copy a 2.1 ROM and then install it through recovery?

That's weird because 7 hours after i brought my X10 mini pro i already bricked it , so i fire up SE PC companion and i followed the instruction to _repair_ the phone and no access to USB storage was needed that i remember.
It simply downloads and flash to your phone.
Unfortunately i'm still a newbie so i suppose and i haven't all the right answers
Keep trying with SE repairing and good luck with that!

There is no way that seus could not fix your phone and even if it couldnt se has a duty to repair it free of charge in the first 12 months !

I know its probably against the rules to post a question in this section but I really need help,
I know that there are many threads discussing the same issue but believe me I read them & it didnt work with me ! , so my phone wont turn on it just blinks red led 3 times that means that my battery is drained out but when I leave a while to charge it turns to green for a few minutes then the led is turned off , while its green its identifiable by the computer & flashtool & seus but when I try to flash/repair/update it gets stuck
btw it doesnt show the SonyEricsson logo when the led is green ; can anyone help me plz ? is it a software issue,battery or hardware ?? plz help !
Note: my phone was dropped heavily & I read on some forums that the fall may have caused damage to the USB port thats why itsnt charging is that true ?!
Note2: I was able to charge my battery and now when I connect the USB the computer recognize it but it wont flash using flashtool or repair/update ?!!

did u try removing seus and pccompanion from ur pc???
coz once i got struck at the same point and i tried to remove the seus and pccompanion and after that i got to flash it through the flashtool....
i don't have ny idea how it worked but it worked for me...

right now the computer wont even recognize the phone , the phone just keeps blinking red ! , but if I charge the battery using a desktop charger the computer recognizes it for a few moments till I start to flash then it gets stuck ! btw I appreciate ur help

remove ur battery out for good 10 minutes
and than immediately after put battery in phone
and connect in flash mode....
if computer is not recognized ur phone after uninstalling the seus and pc companion install drivers frm the folder of flashtool
there is the folder named driver u can find drivers from ther

its already installed cuz when i charge the battery for a while the computer recognizes the phone SEMC Flash

the only thing u can do is use another pc to flash it which never had the pc companion or seus and try to flash it from there...
Remember that u also need to remove the registry entries for pccompanion and any other se app on your pc.. then reinstall drivers for flashtool.

Hello maybe its a flashtool bug or something with dalvik-cache or battery stats i am not sure someone correct me if wrong. I recently installed fxp109 cm7.2 and noticed it has a new version of the flashtool if correct its now 6.8.0, maybe the older ones are good and i saw u used 6.7.0 maybe the 6.8.0 works or older version then 6.7.0, Maybe it works if u can remove the drivers in device manager and try to reinstall them with SE gordon gate drivers i am not sure if this will solve ur problem but is worth trying i gues. hello !! i got this z ultra a month ago... rooted it with the help of Vroot... and unfortunately.. today, i was using an app called android tweaker.. used some settings there like GPU rendering, Multitasking & Touch sensitivity enhancer.. it asked for a hard reboot... there you go.. struck .. shows up sony logo and reboots... thats all.... i have flash tools, i have Backup TA .. i dont have cmw on the phone nor the titanium backup... kindly help me .... i tried to repair with pc companion.. but it fails to dect the phone as its not completely booting up... tried to get it detected in fastboot ... but it says something like S1 fastboot drivers not found ... !! requesting expwert advice.. i was with the latest version of update .. something like 510 or 526... i've not unlocked bootloader at all... :good::good:

You need to install the ADB sony drivers... 's1fastboot' requires these. Do a search on google and they will pop up.
actually here are the drivers:
HSPA+ http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-z-ultra-driver/
LTE http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-z-ultra-c6833-c6806-c6843-driver/
If PC companion still doesnt work then you will need to use 'flashtool' and can then flash an FTF firmware file.

Next time, don't try to tweak a stock kernel. If you're not sure how stuff works, don't mess with it. If you're not sure about something then ask us before you do stuff like this. There's a reason why we're all here.

I emailed you this, but may have gone to spam..
they are just driver ini files and system config settings.
1) right click on my computer
1a) properties
2) device profile
3) look for devices without drivers
4) update driver
5) advanced/
6) have disk
7) use the unzipped folder as the location
8) yes continue with unsigned driver version
done
i may have missed a step as I only have access to my Ultra at the moment, but thats what you need to do
Been there 3 times now getting used to my xzu being bricked lol, just ploug your phone into your computer using the usb lead then click on sony pc companion click on the start on support click update phone / tablet then click REPAIR MY PHONE after that follow the instructions that will bring her back from the dead

When I hold down the volume down and plug. The green led blinks and goes off.. but fast boot is working fine. . I've ftf file. Which cannot be flashed in fast boot. Fast boot asks for .img or .sin files. Doesn't accept ftf.* . . My phone is into boot loop. . Can't use Sony pc companion as it restarts b4 the pc companion can install the drivers. . I need to use fast boot exclusively. ..

The correct for fastboot is blue led always on
When using S1 mode the green led blinks then no led if im right
And use flashtool instead, much easier

I did this but PC companion says : the device has software modified than it cant be repear.
What else cn i do?

First, it didnt work. I installed and uninstalled many times flashtool and different versiont of flashtool and finally I dont know how but it worked.
