Is there a way installing Android as Permenate and only OS on the phone ?
Last time I checked the devs cannot access the internal ROM yet, so no. Also, I know it's not what you asked but I just have to say it... WHY would you want that????
questions about Android should be posted in the Android on HD 2 forum. Thread Closed
hi guys i'm just gonna ask you all, if its possible to install apps2sd without doing the partion? coz i already rooted, and installed the xrecovery on my phone, is there any possible way not to format my sdcard coz if not, i'm totally regretting not doing this first,
Note: i have problems installing apps and games on my phone coz it always says that no free space to view or install it and i red that apps2sd is the solutions...
that's why i want to learn about apps2sd..
tnx in advance guys...
i saw some apps2sd applications on the net does this work or do i have to do the long way
dude
the title of your thread starts with [Q]
obviously you didn't read forum rules
but even if thats the case you actually checked the available options for you to post your question in mini pro forums, completely ignored the Q&A thread, and decided to post your question, [Q], in the development thread????
thats rude dude...
and for your question
you actually searched the forums, turned the earth around, and did NOT find out that in custom froyo (2.2) and gingerbread (2.3) roms you have native app2sd, without additional scripts or formatting of the sd?
there must be dozens of threads around here explaining just that
the search button actually works you know...
i thought the rules meant courtesy to all,im sure he never meant it to be rude,,i do a lot of reading here and am surprised at the way people speak to one another on these forums,,
answer to question is yes it would solve your memory probs and there are apps in market for apps2sd,, also you could save files from memory card to pc and restore after you have formatted it
cheers norrie
also were presuming your on froyo or gingerbread roms or are you using stock rom
the rules do mean courtesy to all
also the rules state that you should read the rules before posting
it's actually the first post everyone sees in any xda forum
the reason why it is difficult to find a thread is because the rules are not followed
and subsequently because it is difficult, no one bothers to search and asks questions in any thread he sees fit, spamming the forums and making the situation worse
and this is looping over and over again
so
the post before was not meant to offend anyone
i wanted to show his options, and encourage him to search, through common sense despite the fact he was unaware of the forum rules and do it in a caustic manner
i'm sure that even though he does not yet understand the reason i answered him like that, if he hangs around the forums for a couple of weeks he will get the point.
sorry for spamming
@dave481985
sorry for that bro, and i don't mean to be rude if that's what you think, but i'm not, actually i'm just a newbie, sorry by the way
@norrie2204
i'm only on stock rom dude, it's 2.1.1 i think, so the only way is to format my sdcard? ok, i'll just start all over again hehehe, tnx
again didnt want to offend you
i gave a proper answer to your problem (i think) in the correct thread you posted
dont hesitate to ask anything else
@xeos14
I prefer link2sd that let you choose what to move to sd (while with app2sd everythinh is installed on sd)
You can check here, anyway link2sd is a normal application that you can download from market.
You need to create an ext2 primary partition, you can use a tool called 'MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition' that will let you resize your sd card without loosing data
Anyone knows where (in wich db) find those data ?
I have a problem, i lost a (very) important registration ID i've entered with my phone on a site, and i want to build an application to solve it, for me and for others who have a very little memory...

Hi!
I am trying to find the logcat(s) of my phone. It runs on CM7.2 RC1 with void#echo and I can't get a logcat. I already tried the following:
-Log This: Gives no result, aside of System Environment Information
-adb: "Unable to open log device '/dev/log/main' : No such file or directory."
I could not find said directory with a File Manager either. I guess the logging function is somehow disabled. How can I enable it?
Thanks for helping!
Bump
Was the question too stupid or too difficult? Anyway, here's a bump to try again....
Someone?
Anyone? :'(
Nope users dont feel like helping ignorant people like yourself .
Was the question too stupid or too difficult?
Try Samsung forum .
jje
I am very sorry for being ignorant, but it's exactly the reason why I am asking this question.
Your answer was nor really helpful, I won't go to samsung (if there were a Samsung forum, I only found the one from Cnet anyways) to ask for a solution for a problem with a flashed device.
Could it be a kernel issue? all I could scrap together from the old Void /Phoenix kernel is that "Journalism" is removed....
Hey!
so I have a galaxy ace with Miracle v.4 Cyanogen rom
I want to un simlock it
I got the code from my phone company
I have an other simcard
but when i put it inside it does'nt ask for the network code
where should I put it??
I tryed #7465625*638*CODE# but it just say my phone have no network
...
afaik it needs to be stock. MAYBE fresh wipe of ur current set up. But last I remember reading... exact time I can't recall,,, cyanogen and other custom ROMs are enables to run with or with out SIM cards so checks are disabled by default.
yeah i just wipe out 2 weeks ago...
I will try a few days to find other solutions...
