got this great mod working, went through all the tutorials, and got it all installed.
I did go straight to version 2, I didnt install 1, because i didnt think i needed to.
Latest FW,
Latest Kernal (I Belive)
got it installed, but on the pictures of the [MOD][rendeiro2005]Cyanogen6.1.1_v02 thread, the text in the notifaction bar is coming up white?
but on my x10, i cant change that.. it wont chage... i've set it all to white, and it just dosnt work?
do i need to re-boot the phone or what not?

Yes, possibly, some of the cyanogen UI settings require u to reboot the phone before they take effect..Also look under the ui settings for themes and u can tweak light or dark settings there too! Check out RolLa's Frois theme for the cm6.1.1 or his Frost theme too!!! GREAT STUFF!!

I changed the theme of a rooted x10i, and used xrecovery to change the theme. I was successful to change the theme but it cannot find the sim card. I restored the phone and everything works fine. How can I fix this problem? I want to used the custom theme. Thanks in advance
uninstall task manager app. it works for me.

I have an x10i, with firmware 2.1 -update1, baseband version 2.1.54, kernel version 2.6.29 and build number 2.1.A.0.435. I want to download the [2.1 ROM]+[THEMES]Dark10 Series(84,000+Dlds)26/01/11 V1 (Dualtouch Ready). Shouldn't it work? N i do not have task manager. Someone please help!!!
I only downloaded Superuser, busybox and rom manager.
I followed the instructions on X10 Custom ROM AOSP 2.1 : How to for dummies [tutorial & discussion] everything works, the theme was loaded successfully but still cannot find the SIM card, I cannot make any calls. HELP!!

I am on XWKF3 version of SGS2.
I am not able to find the SMS thmes ( 6 or 7 like green or black etc) in my phone. recently only i upgraded my firmware to KF3.
May be i am not remembering where this setting is in my phone or the firmware upgrade removed this theme...
can anyone tell me where i can change this setting or from where i can reinstall this theme incase if its lost....
appreciate ur help....
yea i normally use the black one.i actually like the stock sms app.but being stuck with the gross puke yellow and pale blue has forced me back to go sms.i noticed themes gone when i flashed cognition 1.12.but was certain they were there on 1.10 and 1.11.also hope someone know whats up

If i'm not mistaking sms themes were removed in KF3. Some of the firmwares don't have them, some do.

Hi everybody, I and my girlfriend both using Optimus Black mobiles; I'm on Cyanogenmod7 and she is on stock (rooted) rom for ease of her use. Now, her birthday is coming this February, so along with regular stuffs i've bought for her, i've decided to gift her a rom. ( ). The basic idea is, i create a custom cm, then make a nandroid backup of it, and then flash it on cwm on her mobile.
Since i'm using android more than a year, i know a little bit of modding. So i've already themed my device to suit her with some modifications such as transparent status bar, center clock, a special theme on uotkitchen, themed adw launcher with custom icons and all that..... now i just need the following answers from senior members here to complete my pseudo-rom experience of gifting her.
1) In About phone section in settings, how to change the name of Mod version and Kernel version? I mean, it shows Cyanogenmod-7.2.0. xxxxx things, and i want to change it by her name ( ), like we see in custom roms by various devs. So in which system files i need to do the editing for that?
2) How to change the Android version? Of course, i mean, android version of cm7 will be 2.3.7 , but, since she doesn't even understand what froyo/gb/ics is, i want to change it to her birth date ( ) to make her happy. So, is it possible ? And how ?
I hope other guys might also like this idea ! .... Your help will be very much welcomed. Thanks in advance..
well for one i do know that you can spoof the OS version number. dunno how tho

Good daay users..i'm new here and i really liked the xhs rom v3...so i downloaded the full addon zip....installed it and flashed the kernel with the doomkelnel v4a...ok working well...
first qustion is,,,...it stays on stock ui and no changes...just rooted nothing more..i wanted the quick bar settings e.t.c

wifi gives me an error...after .installing the hotfix from doomkernel.....boootloops every time...
why?

after flashing the kernel twice with another kernel...xpeedd kernel and doomkernel 9007 ....my xperia s wont turn on....its off ..no charging nothing...can please or the developer help me out? thx in advance.

BTW...i installed the xhs v3 cuz its very light and fast....but like i told... nothing changed in the ui i wanted the battery % and other colour but i didn't find it
Ok, guys,
why x10's stock 2.3.3 themes don't work, i mean that no matter what theme from the stock theme manager is applied nothing changes. For example the stock themes for Arc (gingerbread) change the settings background, phonebook, messages, etc...
Is there anyway that we can change that and is it possible to port everything from Arc to work? I know that Gingerbread is old now and some of you may think that it doesn't worth it but i'd like to at least try to make 2.3.3 fully working.
