Hey everyone, just thought I'd share a few thing I put together for EB01.
The first is my modified framework that shows the accurate battery for both discharging AND charging. In pre-froyo, there seemed to be some sort of bug in how the charging battery status was reported to, or read by, the icon in the notification bar. It always seemed to be stuck at about 30%. That seems to have been fixed in 2.2, so I was able to get 1% increment charging icons working. Here's what it looks like - when charging, the battery changes to a plug and shows the accurate level:

Here's both the modded framework (flash it with Clockwork) and the stock framework should any issues arise.
These are for the totally stock rom
EB01_Batt_Framework
EB01_Stock_Framework
These are for Adrynalyne's SuperClean rom 2.1 and 2.2 only
EB01_SuperClean_Batt_Framework
EB01_SuperClean_Stock_Framework
These are for Adrynalyne's SuperClean rom 2.3 and 2.4 only
(there's a chance these might revert your wallpaper and you might loose your Google account. You'll just have to reset your desired wallpaper and re-add your Google account in Settings>Accounts and Sync. Not sure why it's happening).
EB01_SuperClean_23-24_Batt_Framework
EB01_SuperClean_23-24_Stock_Framework
If you're using another rom, BlackHole, for example, these may or may not work depending on what other mods have been done to the rom. I believe it mainly has to do with the shutdown menu - if your rom has the expanded shutdown menu, try the framework for SuperClean since that has it too. If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll put together a framework specifically for that rom.
Sorry for the issues that this initially caused!!
Next is my de-Binged browser. Default search engine is set to Google, home page is set to Google, soft search button and address bar searches go to Google and all Verizon bookmarks have been removed.
This is a deodexed browser, so if you happen to be using an odexed rom, you'll probably need to manually delete the Browser.odex file from /system/app. Also, you might want to go into Settings>Applications>Manage applications and do a clear data from the browser before flashing this just to make sure the Binged browser isn't leaving anything behind.
Here's the files, again, my modded one and the stock browser should you run into any issues and want/need to revert.
EB01_Debinged_Browser
EB01_Stock_Browser
Please report back if this works for 'ya.
Browser works ... though I did find that if you already have some VZW bookmarks, you can't delete them using the bookmark manager.

Great, thanks for reporting. On the bookmarks, try clearing data for the browser in Settings>Applications>Manage applications, and maybe try clearing cache and dalvic cache in Clockwork for good measure.
I'm able to flash back and forth between my debinged browser and the stock one - on the stock, I get all the bing and bookmarks, on my modded one (after clearing everything) I get Google and no bookmarks.
It's probably just something being left behind from the stock browser.
crashes and lockups
Hi,
I really like your battery mod, but when i tried to use it with Super Clean 2.1 rom it seems to cause system lockups or launcher crashes whenever i try to access the shutdown menu.

yikes. I will give it a try nevertheless. the old style blue battery just doesn't cut it. I'm on 2.1 superclean non-voodoo.

I'm getting a similar effect. It blips the haptic when it tries to start the shutdown routine, but then just fails silently with 4 more blips about 10 seconds later.
Also having power menu issues. vibrate when I push power button. Then about 5 sec after it pulses about 4 vibrations. Then screen goes black, for about 5 sec, signal and 3g appears to restart
However battery icon is great...

Both mods working with no probs on stock EB01. Thanks!
I have Superclean 2.1.
Tried installing this morning and it aborted in red CWM.
Going to download again and see what happens. Does this require a wipe?
I get:
"failure at line 3"
Not sure if it matters or not but I am running voodoo.

This happens because the ROM you are using has a modified Power menu while this mod only has the accurate battery.
You can fix it by restoring the android.policy.jar and framwork.jar from the original deodexed stock ROM.
But of course, it will override your theme ROM.
This accurate battery mod is only for people who are running the deodexed STOCK ROM...
Sorry some people are having issues, it is a compatibility issue with the other mods that were done to the Super Clean rom. I'll have to put together another framework specifically for that. I'll get one together asap.
Battery Completely broke my shutdown menu when holding the power button down. Anytime I do it now my phone vibrates and turns the screen off but leaves the back light on for the bottom row of buttons. Screen won't turn back on until a battery pull.

Me too
Love, the look of this but killed my reboot options as well....add them and this would be great
Guys, guys, let the man work. Do not install this on superclean UNTIL he mods it specifically for that rom
Very sorry everyone, I didn't know the other mods to SuperClean would have conflicted with this. I updated the first post with a new framework built from the SuperClean base framework. I also included a stock SuperClean framework for anyone who wants to revert back to stock (stock SuperClean, that is...).
As I mentioned in the post, these may or may not work with other roms. Give me some time to download the other available roms, and I'll put together frameworks specifically for them.
What app are you using for toggles?
I appreciate you working on this. I like the look of your toggles in the screen shot. What app are you using for toggling wifi, brightness, volume, etc?
Update: I think I answered my own question. It looks like you just changed some of the settings within Power Control Plus. Awesome.

Here is a morph I put together for my device and figured I would share it with you. It basically replaces any of the "green" within Nero with blue. It also replaces the icons for all the AOSP applications with their AOSP style icon. Camera, Calendar, Contacts, Dialer, Calculator, Video Player, Music Player, Email and Browser. You can also replace the gingerbread keyboard with a blue one too Enjoy.
GingerBlue is available via Android Customization Suite - listed under camalot - thanks to birgertime for the great tool.
I've added to my build script so the ACS repo will be automatically updated to the latest version.
v1.7 is for Bionix-V 1.2.1 - I have not tested with 1.2.0 or any other versions. If you want to try, be my guest
v1.6 is for Bionix-V ONLY
Please do not use any of this mod in your own mod unless you ask first and I say it is ok. A lot of time has gone in to making this, tweaking things here and there, to get it right. If you ask, I will more then likely say yes, as long as you give credit, where credit is due. If you see someone's name, besides mine in the change log, ask them, not me.

I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device. Make a backup before you apply this.
For anyone else that creates morphs/themes, I created a google code project to host some community created projects. If you want svn access send me a pm. I have the "source" for this project currently up there.

I have had it where I occasionally get FCs when applying it. If I get them, I reboot and manually install the other items after it reboots. Or just try again. Ive had that happen with multiple morphs. It just depends on what apps are being changed, and if they are running when its happening.

To people with force close problems, do the morphs one at a time, media and phone will require a battery pull.
I really like this theme, but I do have one request. Can you make the selection highlights the same color? The default orange is pretty ugly IMO. thanks!

I will do the selection highlights to the blue, I may even do the "textbox selections" too. I'm also working on changing the date to the gray color of the icons when the notification tray is expanded.
I am looking in to changing the time too, but that cant be done in a morph, as it requires a change to the services.jar. I would like to make it so its configurable in like settings but dont know if I can make that happen or not.

While I could remove the bloatware software, any of its removal will depend on lidroid since we'll want to keep the image as close to the original as possible.
However, I will add in the home button haptic fix for our devices on his next update.

It does not support .MTZ files, at the moment. There is a possibility that lidroid will incorporate it for theme support, but only time will tell.
The theme manager works a lot like the MIUI theme manager. You choose the theme you like. Download it and once its done downloading you install it. You'll need to reboot in order to apply.
Odd... this seems stock, but I cant figure out what its doing with logs and contacts. Worst part is unless I'm doing something wrong... battery life is TERRIBLE. Used 80% battery in 12 hours (while sleeping) not even using the phone. In CWM I wiped and wiped data in storage and mounts as recommended. This is far worse that stock (the battery life), unnamed even with hub stuff installed resulted amazing battery life!

::EDIT::Updated Hellraised Rom Feb. 12. 2012.:::
I rebuilt the Hellraise for this ROM for two reasons. 1) To make it easier to flash for those coming from a stock ROM like Shostock, Unnamed, or another non-hellraised ROM ((should flash no problem)) and 2) Because I wanted to include the init.d tweaks and the Market Hotfix. I stuck the Market Hotfix you need to flash if you experience force closes on Market on the /sdcard, so after flashing, you should have it there waiting for you on your sdcard. Just open up Market for the first time, and if it force closes on you, reboot to recovery and flash the hotfix. If you boot up and Market updates, boot into recovery once more and flash it and this should fix it for good. This makes it easier than having to download it seperately. Besides that, only things I changed were:
Added 97S_loopy_smoothness_tweak to init.d
Added 98network tweak to init.d
Added 99sdcardspeed tweak to init.d
As always, it was Hellraised with the Siyah Kernel v 2.6.12. Enjoy.

OK folks, here's the deal.
A) For Camera to work: On first boot, rename your DCIM folder on your /sdcard to DCIM.old or something and reboot. Now you should be good to go, and MIUI will rebuild a new DCIM folder and your camera will work GREAT.
B) For the Market Force close issue, open Market for the first time. It will force close. Reboot into recovery and flash the Hotfix found on your SD card. Reboot. Open Market, let it update, and it'll probably force close when you open an app again. Reboot, clear cache, and reflash Hotfix. Now usually at this point for me it works, but if it STILL doesn't and gives force closes, I noticed that connecting just once to any wifi network and going into market just once with that wifi on fixes it. Now you can turn off wifi, and use data no problem with no force closes. I may in the future try and find a way around this, but for now, this works. =D
Other than those two issues, I love this ROM. It's super fast (after the initial 5-8 minutes on first boot cause it's building files), and it just WORKS. Let me know what you think.
If its miui, you just change the theme to something else if you don't like it.

Thank you for contributing.
From my phone, to whatever electronic device you're using.
To answer the previous posters question, there probably are NO MAJOR differences, other than what the dev decides to stick in as far as apps taken out, themes, and build.prop and init.d scripts. This rom (for me) runs excellent. Also, remember, for anyone who flashes this, you probably have to rename your DCIM folder to something else so that miui can generate a new one, or the camera may or may not work properly. This is a common thing tho among MIUI and CM7 roms. =D Has anyone tried to flash this coming from a stock I777 ROM yet? Has it worked?

Good luck all, happy flashing.

What kernel are you on? If it's Syiyah 2.6.12 tethering is broken on it. Try .11
CBB77 Blue Medley v1
Using VillianTheme (VRTheme) System
Works on all versions of SHOStock 3
Been a while in the making, but I have finally pulled together a theme I am happy with. It's a blend of a few different themes on XDA with a few mods of my own. (Thus the name "Medley") Below are the items themed:
ClockPackage
JobManager
MusicPlayer
SecContacts
SecEmail
SecPhone
SecSettings
SecMms
SystemUI
Framework-res
SamsungCamera (Icon change only)
SecLauncher2 (Icon change only)
Additionally I have included my favorite original S2 bootup animation with sound. However kudos to Shoman on the latest bootanimation on version 2.5.5. Thus I have included 2 versions of this theme, one with the boot animation included and one without.
Enjoy!

Telephone Screeen
The telephone screen is not fully compatible with 2.5.9. Launch telephone and open up call settings then hit back button and the screen doesn't refresh properly. Thanks for the theme. It's the best of the VR version. I don't know if there are others experiencing the same thing I do.

Thanks for feedback. I haven't upgraded to 2.5.9 yet so I can't speak to that. I did test what you mentioned on 2.5.6 and it doesn't have the problem you mentioned. I'll see if I can upgrade and fix this weekend.
thanks

I just upgraded to 2.5.9 and re-applied the theme. Unfortunately I did not experience the issue you described. If possible can you take a screenshot or outline again the steps if you are still experiencing this. Would like to correct if there is an issue.
Thanks
Loved it.. Keep it up..:thumbup:

I tried the theme, and it looked awesome. I had some problems with reading the text in the battery indicator. My live wallpaper was Force Closing, and I don't know what might be wrong with it. Other than these, it was really beautiful. I like the boot animation so much.
I just have one quick question. Is it possible to have the boot animation separately?

The problem with the battery text is due to having the "Display Battery percentage" option set in the display settings page. Turn that off. The issue is the battery icons I used already have the percentage indicator as part of it. Thus this option is actually overlaying the percentage on top of what is already there making it difficult to read, since it's not a perfect overlay. Turn it off an you'll be able to clearly read it.
Here is the link to the boot animation i used. I've also include the link to the boot sound file.

thanks for the tip about the battery percentage. I totally forgot to disable it. now it looks just fine. And btw, thanks for the bootscreen. It is really nice to have it on other roms.
Is there a way we can retain some of the customizations? And use the rest of your theme.

Absolutely. You simply need to extract my zip and remove any of the apks that you don't want. Then re-zip the file. Just make sure when you re-zip you use no compression. Use 7-zip and use the store option when re-zipping the file.
Dude this is a beautiful theme!!! Awesome work I am very impressed.
You got anything else? Any apps? You should blue theme a Gmail to go with this.

Sorry guys, not having much luck themeing Gmail. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the theme to apply. Not sure what's different as it works for every other app. Thus have hit a brick wall. Still researching but may be a while.
Is there a way to change the generic contact icons from male to female and vice versa? Not a big deal really it's just i feel bad that some of my friends are the wrong sex lol

** Install Instructions **
Clean Wipe and Flash Talon 1.0.zip (Flash boot.img if you are S-On)
The first time the ROM boots after install, the boot animation will appear to freeze. Just give it a minute and it will finish booting to the home screen.
In the welcome wizard, uncheck the two settings that say "Backup my account to Google." If you have a backup app, Google backup is unnecessary and can confuse the ROM.
At the end of the setup wizard, it may appear to be frozen. Press the home button to open launcher.
By default, the ROM has the system theme. To get the ROM how it looks in the screenshot, first go to System Settings -> Themes and choose to apply your choice of Pitch Black (blue on black) or Jelly Black themes (white on black).
Press home to go back to the home screen and open the Nova Launcher settings. Look for the section that says Look and Feel -> Icon Set. Choose the Minimal icon set (which are black and white icons).
To get the AOKP wallpaper, long-press on the desktop, click Wallpapers then choose "Swag Papers" as the source. The wallpaper in the screenshot is the very first one in the gallery.
For some reason, the Camera icon isn't in the dock by default. All you have to do is open the app drawer, long-press the camera icon and then when the home screen shows up, drag it to the empty space on your dock.

Many thanks to @IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo for connecting me to the Matrix so I could build roms again.
Also thanks to @Flyhalf205 and @TheBr0ken for all their expertise and friendship.
Shout-out to @Snuzzo for making a great kernel for the Rezound.

I know lol. I just downloaded and came back to give thanks and the thread was gone.
To anyone who downloads, I just realized I forgot to tweak the MMS app to not split text messages over 160 characters. If you don't want split texts, just use the MMS.apk from one of Neo's roms. I will upload the one from Infection in a bit.
So good to see you back. Love your rom's. Thought you may have gotten a new phone and were gone for good. Thank you for the ROM.

No, a coworker accidentally knocked my 2 TB external hard drive off my desk and killed it. I tried to dev on another PC and ran out of hard drive space. You literally have to have a minimum of 50+ GB free just to work on one ROM.
Neo helped me find a working build setup. It's good to be back! And I plan on being with the Rezound probably at least through January, if not longer. Glad to be part of our little community.
And hope you like the ROM. It's not as fast as Neo's ROMs, but the CrossBreeder mod I baked in makes things pretty snappy.
I gotta say, this is awesome .

Yep running very smooth so far. I love AOKP. For those who still use openpdroid, it works fine, no issues.
As always Brenuga, amazing work. This is the fastest aokp rom I have used to date. I love aokp and am really happy we have you working on it. Great job. Gotta send you some money sir.
Google backup is unnecessary and can confuse the ROM so if I use google to back up should I not try this rom? Confuse like not run like it should.?

Cool beans. My wife now has my Rezzie these days but Im thinking about replacing the CM10.1 build on it with something more recent. Is this pretty much stable/bug free?
Thx for the work! :good::good:

No issues for me. I definitely would recommend it. :good:
Been running amazing for me since it was released. No random reboots, lock ups, and getting great battery life. Thanks again brenuga
issue?
I have flashed this and the rom itself is great so far...but when I went to change the wallpaper to one of the photos from my phone it says "no external storage". I cant even use the camera, says the same. I can mount the phone to pc and see everything as I should and via card reader. Strange thing is I can flash things in recovery with the rom from the external sd...I don't get it. Gonna switch back to previous rom and see if it finds the external storage. Will post back.
